Friendly Fill-Ins Hop

Alright!  Time for our weekly fill-in-the-blanks challenge.    Lots of fun – four sentences with blanks to fill with our own words then join the HOP to share info.    We do learn a lot about our friends this way so give it a whirl.  You can click the badge above and do your fill-ins and have fun with the rest of us.     My Mom and I shared “fill-in” duty this week.  If the words are my Mom’s they’re in RED and if I’m filling in the blank my words are in BLUE.

This week’s four sentences are:

1. Getting old should come with detailed instructions!
2. And just like that summer disappears and fall arrives – I like almost all weather as long as I can go outside.
3. I get funny looks from others when I gather up stray grocery carts in the grocery store parking lot and push them up where they belong – a lot of people seem to think once they get their groceries out of the cart they can just LEAVE it where it is (usually blocking a parking spot!!).
4. I once tried to climb a tree, and I failed

There you have it – another Friday filling in event courtesy of Mom and me………………..I like sharing the duty with my Mom.    Just my way of keeping her entertained.   HAHA

Hugs, Teddy

  1. Perfect fills and so creative!

Love the one about getting older and I’m sorry you fell out of a tree teddy ha ha. But I can’t climb trees either.

  2. Teddy, your Mom is a gem! Relocating stray carts is a good thing to do…windy conditions can ram them into cars and peeps.

Getting old; we need someone to hold our hand while we navigate the miry depths of medicare, etc…sigh…no wonder you have to be brave when you get to be of our vintage.

Right now its about 36F here…Brrr! The heat went in, imagine that! (We have a heat pump that does the heat or ac by itself once we set the preferred temps.) But the sunniness is glorious!

We used to have a dog when I was a child, and he could get 1/2 to 3/4 up a tree trunk…to chase the tree rats…he was part terrier, like us! Though in a sense its still a climbing fail.

  3. I have moved grocery carts a few tines but I think I may make it more of a habit now. You did good, Girl! Teddy…I tried and failed too! I can’t even use the excuse of havng just 2 legs…(mom is writing this..nt me) I just can’t. All there is to it.

I wanted to tell you how much I appreciated and liked the card you sent me on the passing of my son. Hearing from dear friends (I don’t have to be next door to consider you that. You are a dear friend) means so much to me. Your kindness made a difference.

    Love and hugs to you.

    • We love you tons Miss Carole……(from Teddy)
Carole, we are sisters of the heart – and that’s forever – and I can’t imagine losing a son but I also know you are braver than brave and I know you are surrounded by friends and love and ALWAYS will be.

      Hugs, Pam

  4. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I always put my crt away, but don’t usually gather others- that is kind of you to do. I like Aldi’s because you need a quarter to release a cart and you don’t get it back until you return the cart. Sorry you couldn’t climb a tree Teddy. Have a wonderful weekend. XO

    • Well Miss Ellen it’s probably good I can’t climb a tree – Remember “Chicken Little” with “the sky is falling” ??? I’m sure “Chicken Little” would SCREAM “THE CAT IS FALLING”……..and scare everyone!

  5. Oh, I agree about the ‘aging rules’, and the grocery carts! Teddy, I know you will enjoy lots of ‘owwa’ time with this nice weather heading our way. And I’m sorry about the tree climbing. But you’re safer on the ground!

  6. Teddy, we can imagine tree climbing might be a struggle for you. Mom totally agrees with #1. A guide to tell old folks what to expect would be great. Teddy, please be good and let your mom and dad put the drops in your ears. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh

    • Miss Janet I’m trying not to have a fit when Dad grabs me and holds me and Mom sticks that nozzle thing in my ear and squirts in medicine – but it’s icky and sticky and I HATE IT! But they sneak up on me and I don’t have a chance to escape so I guess I’d better get used to it. Sniff Sniff.

      Hugs, Pitiful Ted

    • It’s so easy to take your cart to one of those round-up areas or back to the front of the store – people just abandon them in the middle of the parking area and I just don’t GET IT! LOL Sometimes they take up perfectly good parking spaces too!

I wanna know what YOU've got to say!!
