Friendly Friday Fill-Ins

Standard

Happy Friday everyone – you know Fridays mean Fill-Ins!   Our co-hosts give us FOUR Sentences with blanks and we fill them in – easy right?   Well it is and you should join in the fun – click the badge above and link up!     This week I gave Mom the PAWSOME duty of filling in ALL the blanks.   Her words are in RED.

Here are the sentences for this week:

1. A pleasant memory that I have from grade school is having a teacher named “Miss Lamb” – she was truly gentle as a lamb!
2. My plans this month include celebrating my birthday with all the dignity I can muster considering my age AND beginning to figure out what clothes I want to take on vacation to Maine next month!
3. Please don’t ask me to choose between Prosecco and Champagne.
4. In 15 years, I see myself in a white robe, halo and Angel wings….I think.

OK Mom – good job…….But I know you and you have always said we’re as OLD (or YOUNG) as we feel……you’re not old…….you’re well cured!   HAHAHA      Our thanks to our co-hosts for the fun job of filling in the blanks every week.

Hugs, Teddy and Mom

  2. Sounds like you have a busy month ahead (and next month, too! I know how much you look forward to and enjoy your vacation.) My first grade teacher was gentle and sweet, too. Her name was Mrs. Thompson.

  3. Miss Lamb sound like the sweetest. Mom remembers a favorite teacher too. Her name was Mrs. Nelson. She was not gentle or sweet. She was tough and expected a lot from the kids. She made everybody feel smart and capable. She made Mom want to be a teacher.

    • I would LOVE to learn to play the harp actually – I hired a harpist to play at my wedding 32 years ago and it was so beautiful it almost made me cry as I was walking down the aisle. LOL Seriously – she was really good and it made for a quite elegant reception background too!!! Trumpets – well – maybe I’d like those at the “BIG GATE” as I enter to get my wings!!!!!! Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend too!

  5. You better not get angel wings for at least 115 years!! LOL! We here in blogville and as individuals love you too much.
I remember that when I got my desk work one early, my teacher would let me go to the front of the room and sit there reading all the encyclopedias and national geographic magazines. A great way to increase ones knowledge and trivia game answers:)

I get what you mean about birthdays…I have one coming up in a couple months, too…though my vintage is a wee bit less than yours…
In the past I often would travel too see. my family then, as there were multiple BD’s to celebrate…now we have a cousin reunion,, but COVID (Hisses), put the kabosh on that…not sure if we can do it this year, though I have allotted vacation time from my work for it.

    • I hope you get to do your family birthday get-together. I have very little family as does hubby so we pretty much celebrate “amongst ourselves” !! I used to be so fascinated by the World Book Encyclopedia when my parents bought the set from a door to door sales guy. That’s the point in my life when my world became a LOT bigger!
