Friendly Fill-Ins Hop

Standard

Happy Filling-In Friday!    The HOP that’s our opportunity to fill in some blanks with our own words and let people know more about us!    It’s co-hosted by Four-Legged Furballs and 15andmeowing and if you’d like to join us, you can click the badge above and link up with us!!

Here are the four sentences we have for this week!    Mom and I shared responsibility for filling in the blanks this time – if the word is Mom’s it’s in RED and if it’s my word it’s in BLUE.

1. A fashion trend that I hope never returns is big clunky shoulder pads!.
2. A fashion trend I wouldn’t mind coming back in style is below the knee hemlines.
3. I think my Royal Canin Loaf In Gravy Wet food is superior to any of the other stuff Mom bought for me when the cat food crisis caused my favorite food to DISAPPEAR for almost a year!
4. When a new month rolls around, I don’t even notice – all I care about is being with my Mom and Dad and having a happy life!!

There you have it!   Another week’s fill-ins done and it was a joint effort.   Mom and I make a good “fill in the blanks” team I think.    Anyway, hope all of you have a Happy Friday and a nice long holiday weekend with NO FIREWORKS NOISE!

Hugs, Teddy

  1. we disliked that shoulder trend… and we hope it stays in the closet…. it makes no sense to eat like a sparrow to be a thin thing when you wear jackets or sweaters with pads what give you the look of a football player ;O)

  2. My biped says she never liked those shoulder pads! She’s pleased that hemlines can be worn pretty much where you please these days, if you can find the length you like. 😀

  3. Oh Teddy! I agree 100% with your Mom about those bad, horrible terrible, awful, yucky shoulder pads. And I agree with the hemlines as well. But I also like a moderate boot flare in both men and women’s pants. Not a bell bottom, but a flare. And I liked to see men’s suits with the two vents, one on each side of the suit jacket. When I see TV shows from that era, the men look super good in that style of clothing.

  4. I want to be like you Teddy Boop and not notice the months zooming by. Well, I kind of liked the shoulder pads. Not the kind that made you look like a scarecrow, just a nice defined shoulder pad… not clunky 🙂 I had a blue blazer I had to wear to school every day as part of my school uniform and it had some pretty big shoulder pads. Fun Fill-Ins, Teddy Boop! Brought back some memories with the fashion trend filling in. Good Morning, Virginieeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

    • My Mom has broad shoulders – shoulder pads made her look like a football player. HAHAHA She had “real” shoulder pads I guess you might say. Fill-ins were extra fun this week we agree!!!!

      • That is EXACTLY why I hated them. I too have broad shoulders. Apparently it is a Libra characteristic!!! 🙂 And, I always called myself a Green Bay Packer when having to wear something with those in it.

  6. Amen to the shoulder pads
Teddy you like what you like…Angel Madi would have been runway model skinny if she had been here during the worst of the cat food shortage. She only at 3 flavors of FF and it had to the Pate Only

  8. I always removed those shoulder pads …ugly to the max….lower hemlines are great for me too…but I don’t mind wearing a very short dresses if I put leggings under them…then its like a long top, LOL!

We hear you on the kitty noms, Teddy. We Angels were rather fussy, too. At least we did not have to endure that shortage upon the earth; being in heaven has its advantages:)

    • Angel Sammy has said there are never shortages at the Bridge so I’m happy about that…..here it’s been a struggle for my Mom but she’s been a real trooper. I tried to cooperate with all the epxeriments to try and find SOMETHING I’d eat…..we’re just happy she was able to get my favorite this week!!!!!!

  9. OTOH, my human has a couple of jackets with shoulder pads she really loves so she wishes that would come back so she could wear them again! (Yes, they still fit, MOL!)

    • I have super broad shoulders – which I inherited from my Dad….and I always was self-conscious about them. Shoulder pads just made me look utterly ridiculous so I really never liked them! It actually wouldn’t surprise me if they DID come back – the fashion world is unpredictible if nothing else!
