SPARK on Monday

Standard

So what is this SPARK thing all about?   “SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when she stopped blogging some time ago.  It was meant to be a way to start out each week with with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who read it.  Although Annie isn’t currently blogging, a lot of us who enjoyed her SPARKS decided to keep posting SPARKS of our own.   Why?   Because sometimes we need a little “spark” in our lives and these posts were meant to at least be a PART of that effort.   Please feel free to post your own SPARK on your blog and let everyone know you have…….we get energy from each other that way.

While searching for a wonderful quote about Spring I happened upon a quote I’d never heard before – I didn’t think it was much to do with Spring but I liked it a whole lot anyway.  There have been many times in my life when I really wasn’t sure what was next……..and maybe a little apprehensive about it…….but isn’t this just a perfect thought about keeping the faith even if you really ARE NOT sure of what’s next……….and why and maybe where it would lead?     I love it.

It applies to a whole lot of things if you think about it for a minute…….I bet you can think of times when you went forward even if you weren’t sure it was the right thing to do?

Have a walk up the staircase this week…………the view from the top is a whole lot better than from the bottom where hesitation lives!!

Hugs, Pam

  1. Mama LOVES that advice. She was trying to decide one evening whether to open a business in LA and she said to herself, “GO FOR IT, leap, even if there is no net” and bammo, she lept. Never looked back…

  3. Good start to the week. Sometimes I wonder if people understand faith. For instance, does the religious concept of faith interfere with the secular side of the same word? For instance, an atheist can explain what faith is to them, but put it in a religious context – their view changes. At the same time, a religious person may view faith from the religious context, but struggle to apply it to a secular use. Just a deep thought for a Monday – perhaps too much so. Happy Monday!

  4. Oh that is a new quote to me too.
I am and always have been a gal who likes to know what is NEXT and be ready. Covid changed all that I had to learn to go with the flow and not worrying about the next step.

    • Flying by the seat of our pants is what David and I call it – these last couple of years………but we always have to be prepared for the unexpected – maybe moreso as we age. Remember Alfred E. Newman – “WHAT? ME WORRY?”……going with the flow. The New Normal.

  5. A few years ago my wife was suffering from a terrible job. I hated to see what she was going through so I looked on job boards for her and found a job that seemed too good to be true. She resisted applying for it but she did and when she got a job offer she worried that the company was too small and might go out of business. She decided to take that first step toward a better future and it worked out very well.
