SPARK on Monday

Standard

Hello Monday Friends……………you know what Monday means right?  First day of a new week!    Good time to start off with something to really THINK about right?   “SPARKS” was started by Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader but ended when her blog was hacked some time ago.  It was meant to be a way to start out each week with with a meaningful thought – something that spoke to each of us and hopefully everyone else who read it.    Sometimes we need a little “spark” in our lives and these posts were meant to at least be a PART of that effort.   Please feel free to post a SPARK of your own on your blog and let everyone know you have…….we get energy from each other that way!

I think a lot of us – me included – begin at a certain point in their lives to spend a LOT of time looking back – after all there is usually more behind us than ahead of us.   But remember what’s done is done.   I think maybe a lot of us believe if we look back we’ll see our mistakes and learn from them, etc.    Well, perhaps this advice below in my SPARK today makes more sense.   Focus FORWARD.    What’s done is done.

Well, it’s true……………….it just isn’t that easy to do sometimes.    Maybe looking back in time for what you’ve LOST is the problem…..memories are important and they aren’t LOST moments – they are just tucked away in boxes in our mind.   Looking forward is like getting a brand new box to open – can’t WAIT to see what’s inside!

Hugs, Pam

  1. Well, this helped mama a lot. Today we are all IN the present and moving forward. With hope and positive thoughts. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams die, life is but a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.

  3. I like this Spark! When I was a kid and teen, I was always looking forward. Looking to the short future with a sparkle and hope of things to come. A football game to go to, shopping with my gal pals, going to ride my horse. I need to look for the good things, look forward even if it is short term. I have always appreciated the little things so it should be easy to look forward and stop feeling like I am stuck in the mess we call Covid. I have let myself be stuck for too long. Another motivating Spark, Pam!

  5. Mom does look back a lot, but she says it is to things that she enjoyed and made her happy. Sometimes that can get a bit maudlin if thinking about one of the angel fur babies, but she does still enjoy the memories. The dumb virus has made it a bit more difficult to look forward. We know with anticipation of your trip to Maine, you are doing more of that! Way to go! Good reminder Spark. Mom says, “thanks.” XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
