Friendly Fill-Ins Hop

Standard

Friday!   Time to fill in the blanks.    Four sentences every Friday to complete which give people a little more insight into WHO we are!  Very fun.    Each of our co-hosts gives us two sentences and we just put our own words in the blanks.    Want to join?   Click the badge and LINK UP.

Mom and I BOTH did the filling in this week – if the words are MINE they are in RED and if they are HER words, they are in BLUE!

1. A memory I have of my Mom is her letting me arrange her pretty long blonde hair when I was a little girl – I’d brush her hair then use hairpins to create all kinds of fancy hairdos (probably pretty weird but she never said that!).
2. I always complain about not getting enough outside time but actually my Mom and Dad indulge me VERY well in that regard!.
3. I have a lot in common with other cats my Mom and Dad have had – I’m ginger, spoiled, and happy!.
4. Right now I’m slightly overweight, but I’d rather be slightly underweight!

There’s the scoop from me and Mom………………looking forward to filling in more blanks NEXT Friday!     Hope everyone has a great weekend!    We’re actually having some rain from tropical storm Elsa right now………..we’re far enough inland in Virginia that it’s not as bad as most have had but we sure won’t be complaining about NO RAIN for a while.

Hugs, Mom and Me!

  1. I’m spoiled too. Isn’t it wonderful? And I’m pretty reasonable about being spoiled too. I know you are as well Teddy. My mom said she brushed her mom’s long RED hair. And “helped” her work on puzzles. !!

    • My Mom remembers that her Mom would also draw paper dolls for her – the doll and the clothes for it and then Mom would cut them out. Her Mom would sometimes “play” paper dolls with her too!

Puzzles – Mom and her brother did those but HER Mom always seemed to be too busy for puzzles. Mom thinks she just didn’t like them but didn’t want to say that! HAHAHA

    • I used to come up with some interesting styles. I also remember making Mom come with me so we could show Dad the hairdos – he always said they were beautiful – bless his heart! 🙂

    • Elsa left overnight and is not bugging north of us – lots of rain and wind still – thankfully we got rain which we needed and little else………..there were tornado warnings East of us. Glad you all are OK too – thankfully Elsa wasn’t as BAD as they thought she would be! HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FLORIDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  3. Teddy, you have the bestest parents. Mom wishes she had trained Sawyer to be able to go outside. Maybe he wouldn’t be lost now. Our mom wishes she still had her own long hair to arrange. • Your Mom’s haircut looks GREAT – my Mom thinks so and wishes she could grow her hair that long again – it’s perfect for wearing up, or letting it go super curly – looks very flattering (whatever that means in people language!). We put another “poster” up at TCC for Sawyer…….we sure wish he’d come home.

  4. Teddy, I’d like to be “slightly underweight” too (and this is MOM talking!) Pam, I LOVE your memory of creating “lovely” hairstyles for your Mom, what a beautiful memory to have, thank you for sharing! xoxo

    • You know Caren I can still “see myself” doing that too – my Mom was patient and would sit for as long as it took for me to create a “do” for her – then we’d march in to see my Dad who would of course think I was amazing to fix Mom’s hair – I’m sure if I could have seen Mom’s face her eyes would be rolling as Dad complimented her strange “do” !!!

      Hugs, Pam

  5. MOL MOL Pam at first glance they looked like skates…I wrote the poem
then I looked again and saw that what I thought was the high part of a skate was part of their shoe so I left it alone. LOL
    Great fill ins
