Friday Fill In The Blanks time! Our co-hosts give us four sentences with blanks and all we have to do is fill them in! Want to join us? Click the badge above and LINK UP with us!
Sometimes Mom and I share filling in but this time around I’m letting her be the star – she’s filled in ALL the blanks all by herself……WAY TO GO MOM!
1. This summer, I plan to stay out of the sun as much as I can and wear sunscreen when I “have” to be in the sun.
2. My favorite food at a bbq is either burgers OR BBQ ribs.
3. You’ll find me in a quiet spot at a party. (I’m not a big party animal – I love being with friends but I try to stay out of the limelight!)
4. Who gets to sit in the front seat of the car is the silliest thing I’ve ever argued about. (When I was young, and we were going on a road trip with Dad driving, Mom would always sit in the backseat and it was a battle between my brother and me as to who would sit in the front seat and “navigate” – I ALWAYS got to do it!!)
Good job Mom! Thanks for doing the filling in today – maybe next Friday I’ll do them all by myself! Everybody keep praying that Sawyer from The Cat On My Head comes home. It’s the #1 wish everyone who knows him and the Blue family has. SAWYER COME HOME.

Your parents miss you and so do we!
we could sit together in that quiet spot with a margarita while watching people ;O)))

I don’t really like parties, so I would be in a quiet spot too.

I have always liked a quiet spot at parties too. I always wear factor 50 in the sun. It took me a long time to get the message that it is the sensible thing to do.
I am older than my brother so I always got the front seat!

I was a better map reader for my Dad as “navigator” so I didn’t have to fight much for that front seat – besides, my brother often got car sick so Mom would be in the back seat for “emergencies” !! 🙂

My twofeet brothers always argue about the front seat and they always have big excuses, but we don’t go for it…MOL…Love your picture and purraying for Sawyer. He reminds me of our Bobo who came back after almost two weeks. We so hope that a miracle will happen and that Sawyer is coming home, just like Bobo did🙏😸Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞

Hi Binky! We also hope that Sawyer just wanted a bit of a walkabout and will come home to his wonderful family SOON. Keep the prayers coming – his family appreciates them!

My Mom was always the car-sick one, so back seat window for her every time.
We also continue to purr and pray for dear Sawyer and family, please come home, safe and sound..

It must be awful to have motion sickness……my poor brother had a tough time…….we were constantly moving somewhere since my Dad was in the Air Force and by car or boat or plane my brother was always sick. Yes I think by now the entire universe is hoping Sawyer comes home – and SOON.

I filled in the blanks at Mom Ellen’s place, and for the party one, I said you’d find me “not”. I don’t care for parties. When the party genes got passed out, I was under the carpet apparently. Not my thing. Love visiting friends..but parties, nope.

You could join me, Cecilia and several others in the QUIET part of the house having a QUIET party. LOL

Love your fill-ins. I’ll just go with those. But we’re not going to parties, that’s for sure. Close to home is still our position, and France is beginning to think about obligatory vaccines or leave town!
It’s not going to be over until all are vaccinated.

Well the more vaccinations the better I think………but that will be quite a policy to enforce if they do it!!

Thank you for participating in the fil-ins, great answers. Our answers for 2 and 3 were similar. These days one can’t even sit in the front seat until they are about 12- how did we survive? 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend. I am praying for Sawyer. XO

Thanks for continuing to post about Sawyer. Nothing to report. My sister and I were always relegated to the back seat. Thanks for the love and support, Janet and the gang 😥

Sending purrs that Sawyer finds his way home…I cannot even imagine how worried the family must be.
I’m very much a people watcher so I’d be sitting by you, Pam, staying under the radar watching.

If I am not driving, I need to sit in the front or else I will get terrible travel sick! I suffer from travel sickness and it is really bad!
I am starting to worry about Sawyer so much. I send my purrs and prayers everyday.

I know Sawyer’s family appreciates your purrs and prayers………my brother was like you in the car – but it didn’t matter much if it was front seat or back OR on a plane – he just didn’t do well with MOVING.

Check in on Sawyer. ALso enjoyed your answers here. Number 5 was a good one. My dad had a car rule and my sister and I zipped our lips. HaHa. We always had fun road trips when I was a kid.

My brother and I could NOT share the back seat in the car – on the few occasions we did we’d argue about the EXACT middle of the backseat and if one of us “crossed the line” we’d get into a fight. Totally ridiculous……..my Dad would pull off the road and give us a big lecture. Kids do the craziest things!

I am with you about parties…I would rather just have a small group get together.
Can’t remember offhand what I’ve argued about that was too silly, but knowing how stubborn I can be, probably a lot!! LOL!
And I am so worried about Sawyer…he needs to get himself HOME, ASAP! Please.
I hope his guardian angels will guide him back to his family.
Then there will be a huge party!

Oh there will definitely be a huge party when Sawyer comes home…..and we hope it’s SOON knowing he needs those meds and has been without for so long.

Riding shotgun is definitely a silly thing to argue about. Mom always puts me in the back. Apparently, the airbags are just waiting to kill me….
Love and licks,

Excellent answers. Riding shotgun was always fun, we had to take turns.
While it’s very smart to stay out of the sun and use sunscreen during the hottest part of the day, getting up to a half hour of sun in the early morning or late evening (or some of both) is very good for you. Even dermatologists are rethinking this as they see the vitamin D we make from sun exposure is much better for us than even the supplements, and we make a whole bunch of other chemicals with that vitamin D that are good for us and aren’t in the supplements.
