Sunday Selfie Hop

Standard

It’s SUNDAY!  YAY!   Time for the Selfie Blog Hop hosted by The Cat On My Head.    If you’d like to share your selfie with the gang, click the badge above and link up.   We like keeping tabs on our blog buddies and pals and seeing selfies every week helps.

I’m doing a FLASHBACK Selfie this week – mainly because Mom needs new batteries in her camera and she hasn’t gotten around to that yet – she’ll get them tomorrow though so next week hopefully will have a NEW PHOTO of me for Sunday.

This photo was taken on May 23, 2020 – exactly a year ago.    Why am I under the Azaleas by the sidewalk?    Because my skink family lives UNDER the sidewalk and frequently peeks out from this side or the other side.   If I’m awake (I nap under the bushes sometimes) I kind of keep running back and forth from one side of the sidewalk to the other hoping to see or catch one of these FAST guys.    Have I had any luck?    NOPE – it’s more of a game.   If I caught one I wouldn’t know what to do with it!  HAHAHAHA

Mom did a puzzle for you with this photo…………………..so if you’re in the mood for a puzzle challenge it’s down below the ARTSY photo!     She used Lunapic’s “CONNECTIONS” Art Filter:

Click this little photo and you’ll get the puzzle!!   Enjoy!

HAPPY SUNDAY FRIENDS!   Hugs, Teddy

  1. The puzzle has some great soft pastel colors. It will be fun to do. The Z Cat didn’t know what to do when she caught a lizard. Once I turned around and found one clamped on to her upper lip. She was shocked and thought it best not to move. We laughed at her which wasn’t very nice. SSNS pried the lizard’s tiny mouth open and got it off. Thank you for the puzzle! Good Morning!

    • Oh how weird! I guess the lizard felt Z Cat’s lips were his last chance at not becoming a meal so he was holding on for dear life. LOL Teddy catches them in our garage sometimes in the summer…..and I have no idea how many are UNDER our front sidewalk but Ted is one determined boy!!! GOOD MORNING – and yes I think that puzzle is pretty neat with the pastels – that was a very cool art effect to use!

      Hugs and enjoy your breakfast………

  2. There is nothing wrong with flashbacks. I don’t know what a skink is, but if it like a lizard then you would catch it and bring it in the house to play with it. At least, that’s what Chris wants to do when he catches a lizard.

  3. I didn’t know you had a whole family of skinks. I am glad there are none in my state. I love the art your mom made with your selfie. Thank you for the puzzle. XO

  4. A photo worth seeing again! Are skinks like geckos? Zoey would toss them about and play with them until they were goners, then simply walk away, bored! (they’d easily get indoors when we lived in Florida) But Maggy showed little interest beyond casual curiosity!

    • Yes – they are like geckos or anoles or any of those lizard-ish critters. They’re fast as lightning and a real challenge. Fortunately they don’t get in the house or Mom would probably scream her head off! HAHAHA

  5. We remember this photo, as it is such a lovely one, and the artwork turned out beautifully. Mom’s been making more puzzles and trying to make time to do more of them. Hopefully she’ll get to this one. Have a wonderful easy Sunday. Maybe you’ll see one of your skinks. • I did see one of my skinks – actually I discovered that he occasionally travels from under my sidewalk to the front stone garden – OR maybe he’s a TWIN????? He sure looked like the same one!

  6. That sounds like fun Teddy. My kitties run from one window to another when they see another kitty in the yard. Hope it is nice there. They said rain but; so far not hardly any since this morning.

  7. Skinks! Wow! We have lizards but I don’t know if they are skinks. We have NEVER EVER caught one and brought it to Mom. We have brought in garter snakes though…Mom was not too happy about that as Daddy jumped on a chair and screamed like a little grrl! Mom rescued it and put it back outside.

    • EEEEEK on garter snakes. Mom would faint dead away if I captured a snake. We RARELY see them – maybe three or four times in all the years we’ve lived here. I’m glad about that and Mom is even “GLADDER”!

    • I really love the way that art effect looks on that photo but I have a feeling if I loaded up ANY of Teddy’s photos and used that effect it would be FABULOUS. It’s just an interesting filter isn’t it.

    • We like that art effect too……made for an interesting photo and puzzle. Teddy had a pretty large skink on the run yesterday but lost it – I think he only tries about 75% – he knows if he caught it, the fun would STOP! HAHA

  11. Teddy, we are very late getting here today – internet woes – but we wanted to let you know how beautiful you look under the azalea bushes, and we LOVE that effect from Lunapic. We have to get Mom to try that one soon.

  12. We could come and help you chase/catch that skink, Teddy! We bet it nice and cool under that azalea, Teddy!
It was hot and humid here today…about 86F…and petcretary took about 4 1/2 hours out of her day off to mow the lawn. Good thing pawppy fixed the dinner!
Petcretary has a dedicated rechargeable battery for her camera, so she keeps a fully charged spare on hand. When she had a smaller one she used rechargeables too. And kept a set in her pocket…
