Happy Friday! Time for the Blog Hop known as Friendly Fill-Ins which is co-hosted by Four-Legged Furballs and 15andmeowing. You can join us if you are interested – just click the badge above and link up. What happens is each of our co-hosts give us TWO sentences with blanks for us to put OUR words in. Easy right? What does that do? Well, it tells everyone a little bit more about YOU. We learn more stuff about our friends……….that’s always fun.
Here are this week’s sentences and we’ve filled in the blanks – I say “WE” because Mom and I both participated this week. If the blank is a word from Mom it’s in RED and if the word is mine it’s BLUE!
1. You don’t have to convince me to get the Covid vaccine – I’ve been signed up for months – just waiting, waiting, waiting for the call!
2. _Waiting to get the vaccine is causing me stress. (slight exaggeration – I’m not really stressed – just anxious to get it!)
3. Speaking from experience, humans that have pets are usually very NICE people!.
4. Over time, my opinion of my vet has changed. (I wasn’t sure who to trust when I went there the first time and now I know they are LOVE ME and take good care of me!!)
There you have it – Filling in by ME and MOM………..the dynamic duo!!! Thanks for our co-hosts for fun sentences every week…………………..

we hope efurrything goes well and you haven’t to wait that long… it’s a weird feeling somehow and we have it always in our mind, till we are over and done with it…

That’s right….it’s just something you almost constantly think about. I’ll be happy when I get the first shot because at least I will feel like I’m on the road to protection of SOME type!

I hope your mom and dad soon get their vaccines. As soon as the highest risk groups were done it was announced that over 65s could start. I went online and could book the day and time I wanted and also the appointment for the second jab. I also had a phone call the same day from the doctor’s surgery to say I was eligible and they could book for me.
Vets are good people, Teddy. It doesn’t always feel like it, but they are looking after you.

The system for vaccines here is sadly lacking in many states including ours….I remain hopeful (that’s just how I am!) it won’t be much longer. Teddy needs a couple of shots himself and we’ll get him booked for that probably next week (but don’t tell him I said that!).

Teddy, I agree. Humans with pets ARE nice people. They are showing they have love and empathy and care. I see mom hasn’t had a shot. She’s waiting on a call. Taking a long time.

Yep – taking FOREVER and EVER…..shows how discombobulated things were at first when the shots were developed and plans SHOULD have been!!!! 🙂

Most excellent Fill-Ins, you two! I am not sure about the Covid shot but I’m doing a lot of thinking about it and that has me all confuzzled. EveryBODY should spend a little time in a basket surrounded by toys… I think it might improve their view of life… Hahaha!

My Mom says if she could find a basket big enough she’d curl up in one too…….and probably STAY there until Covid is gone. HAHAHAHA By the way, it is confuzzling to think about the shot and Covid and all that stuff. Mom “came around” first – Dad is still confuzzling – but Mom says “it’s just a shot”….if it lets me hang around in this life a little longer then I’m on board. Dad is – well – Dad.

It is always scary to trust the vet isn’t it. And hopefully your mum will get the call soon.

You never QUITE know where the vet will jab or grab you so it is a little scary! Mom and Dad are being FAIRLY patient about the vaccine…..but hopefully SOONER rather than LATER!

Going to the Vet can be skeery but we love our Vet tech. It’s harder now since Mom can’t come in with us.
We hope your Mom and Dad can get the vaccine soon.

Mom was allowed to stay with me the last time although we’re not sure WHY because it wasn’t being allowed – maybe Mom and I are special customers? HAHAHAHAHA

Hey Teddy … Reassure Mom and Dad that their time will come very soon.

Mom is usually pretty patient about stuff but this is so important – like she says, “I didn’t survive cancer three times and get a brand new hip for nothin’ !!” Seriously though, those who need to have it before the rest of us are priority and we “get” that!!

I’m anxious to get my shot too, but looks like I’ll have to wait until August to sign up. My Mom can make an appointment in a few weeks. It’s slow going, but we will get there.

You’re right – we WILL eventually get there – !!

Yes, we sure hope you’ll get *the shot* asap. I guess they didn’t take into consideration how much vaccine they truly needed to make for all of us…and in the whole world.
I hear horror tales from peeps here in MI, but well, hubby didn’t have any trouble getting his, and he is ‘less priority’ than I was…and in Canada, they have to wait even longer, my older sister has not had even her first one yet either. Something to do with the fact that Pfizer/Moderna are not Canadian?? Sheesh, they import meds, so why not vaccines. It has to be a political thing, or a $$ one.
I thought it was cute to see Teddy keeping his toys warm and safe under cover:)

I think in the case of our State and the vaccine – there was poor planning, not enough thought put into the WAY to manage getting the shots to people, and not enough vaccine supply to support all the people who WANT and NEED the shots. It’s really sad – it was poorly organized in MANY places!!

Thank you both for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Teddy, you make a fantastic point with #3. Those who share their life with animals are much more trustworthy, if you ask us. We’re a little hesitant to trust those who don’t have pets, and we certainly don’t trust anyone who expresses a dislike of animals. How can someone have that sort of mentality? Purrs!

Some people just don’t “get it” – animals bring out the best in those of us who love them – and I think it works in reverse too – animals who feel love deeply – give it deeply!
