Mom and I split the sentences – Mom’s words are in RED and mine are in GREEN.
1. The best gift I have ever given is the one that gave the receiver joy because I had “listened” when they said what they were hoping for!.
2. Last night, I enjoyed driving in downtown Warrenton, and around various neighborhoods with my husband looking at Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music.
3. Sitting on the front porch while it pours rain brings me joy today.
4. My favorite holiday memory is my first Christmas here – I’d never seen a TREE inside before – I knew about outside trees but inside and with lights? WOW!.

When I was little my Dad always took us in the car to go and see Christmas lights, I still love doing that, and while listening to Christmas music in the car like you did, that makes it extra special!! Wishing you all a blessed and joyous Christmas! Love you dear friends!!

Inside trees will always be a head-scratcher, T. Mom’s old dog, Smoki used to drink the water in the tree stand. Mom said, “This tree is dry as a bone, but it’s using up all the water… Where is it going??” Then one day she heard the slurping. Mystery solved. Poor tree….

Well I think all dogs love tree water…..it’s got a special flavor I think…..my Mom says every dog they ever had would do the same thing – SLURP up that water no matter how her Mom tried to keep the water “safe”….dogs have a nose for water!

Merry Christmas!! We are a day late…well, for m any reasons, one of which *she* was working on *The Day*…hope she brought some holiday cheer to her residents…she thought she did, she was wearing a holiday shirt…not her usual garb, though most peeps didn’t even see it, cause of all the PPE she has to wear these days…sigh…
Anypaws, now its Boxing day, and since petcretary is a transplanted Canadian, she will always know Dec 26 as Boxing Day! So there! MOL!
Its special in a couple of other ways, too…hubby’s Mom had Dec 26th as her birthday, and Angel Pipo also had this day in 2004 as his birthday! He must be playing in all the heavenly boxes today with all his Angel furblings and pals! Kind of now and forever it will remain as a sort of bittersweet day…ahhh….sniff…

I’m sure your Mom cheered up a lot of the residents during the holiday. Has she had the magic shot yet? I hope so. December is a strange month for us too……Angel Sammy went to the Bridge on Dec. 2, my Mom’s Mom and Dad who are both at the human Bridge have birthdays in December…..it’s a mixture of wonderful moments and sad moments I guess. Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and here’s to a SAFE and HEALTHY new year.
