Oh boy………..time to do one of my favorite Hops – the one where we get to learn stuff about our friends by filling in the blanks in sentences. Our co-hosts, Four-Legged-Furballs and 15andMeowing each provide us with two sentences and places for us to fill in the blanks. It’s fun – it’s easy – and it’s every week! You can click the badge above and look for the spot to LINK with us if you like!
Here are this week’s four sentences complete with “holes” for filling…………..I decided to let my Mom fill in ALL the blanks today – “Hey Mom – consider it a Christmas present!” (tee hee)……Mom’s words are in GREEN.
1. My favorite kind of homemade cookie is chocolate chip (since I was a little girl!).
2. I’m a big fan of having a stocking hung on the mantel containing lots of little fun gifts to open!!!.
3. I look most forward to giving gifts during the holiday season.
4. This year having to social distance is my least favorite thing about the holiday season. (I will miss seeing friends and having fun together – I just look forward to NEXT year’s holiday season!!)
Hey Mom. You did a good job. For the record, you make really tasty chocolate chip cookies – not that I have ever had any because chocolate is a BIG NO NO but they smell wonderful so I’m SURE they taste wonderful. Besides, Dad practically inhales them so I assume they are super yummy. I know you and Dad will miss seeing your friends this year but it’s the SAFE thing to do!!
Next week’s Friendly Fill-Ins day is CHRISTMAS DAY………..the only filling in we will be doing is “filling in our tummies with good food!!” – right Mom?

we miss the people this year too and we will be alone… but in our imagination we all celebrate together… and we show all that bad things the statement finger…

YES! That’s the spirit my friends…….we will think of our friends and family and imagine they are doing JUST what we are doing – celebrating Christmas and looking forward to a brand new year with BIG HOPE!

I love chocolate chip cookies but am lazy and buy them. My favourites have Galaxy milk chocolate chips in, but now you can get them with white milk chocolate chips too. They are wonderful, I think I need a couple now with a cup of coffee now you have got me thinking about them.
It will be a strange and quiet Christmas this year but we will make the most of it.

It will be a very different Christmas but maybe in some ways a more “personal” one…..people focusing on each other instead of entertaining a crowd…..We plan a nice Christmas dinner and fire in the fireplace all day long….Christmas music to listen to and weather guy says PROBABLY a little snow. I hope you and Ivor have a TRULY wonderful Christmas with each other.

Mommy just finished her breakfast eggies but the thought of cookies about made her mouth water. She answered on Mom Ellen’s page yesterday but her fave is Oatmeal raisin. Chocolate chip is right up there with them.

Great job! It’s tough to pick a favorite cookie of all the cookies in the world. Mom and I have never met a cookie we didn’t like. Chocolate chip is definitely up there toward the top of the list. She was afraid she would miss out on one of her faves – gingerbread men – this year because of quarantine. But her best baker friend made them and MAILED them!! Yay! I got a leg and an arm. Mom stinks at sharing those delicious guys.
Love and licks,
Cupcake

We LOVE your Mom’s answers. Especially Number 3! For #1,wWhen Mom makes Chocolate Chip cookies, she keeps some of the dough and does not put chocolate chips in it. That way Cinnamon and Jo Jo can have some (Mom makes them teenie tiny cookies). So, what would you call a chocolate chip cookie that does not have chocolate chips?
