SPARK on Monday

Here we go with another week……the days fly by……and we’re still here!  Monday means starting out another week with a light heart and a right attitude.    At least that’s what I try to do.    What is SPARKS?   Mondays are the start of a new week and why not start that week with a thought or message or reminder of the fact that Mondays set the tone for the week ahead – why not make it powerful.     That was the idea that Annie McGuffy of McGuffy’s Reader had when she began the SPARK posts a few years ago – before her blog was hacked and she stopped posting. We hope she will be back soon – we miss her but in her honor many of us have been carrying the SPARKS torch on Mondays.   Just something to make us stop and think – prepare us for facing a new day.

The idea of living life one day at a time seems to have taken on a bigger spot in my heart as I’ve aged……………..after all we really CAN only live one day at a time.   So taking on the day in little steps instead of making it a giant project lets us make it an “easier” project getting through those 24 hours.    One step, one breath, one moment at a time.    Do what you can.   It’s ENOUGH.   We can’t do it all but we can get through our days without putting pressure on ourselves – we’re only human.   (most of us anyway!!)

Have a SPARKY Monday – no – make that a SPARKY WEEK!     See you next Monday……………..

Hugs, Pam

  1. Pam and kitties, we just LOVE your Spark(le) and you lift our sometimes waning spirits with an instant Inspiration to go foot by foot, minute by minute, with happiness that we are here and with compassion for everyone unable on some days to go forward. So many need aid, if only our $@^%&$*&* government would put aside its selfishness and politics to do what it should have been doing—serving the people it was supposed to lead. Thank you for being you.

    • You are too kind…..I know that this SPARK reflects what SO MANY of us feel and as long as we just keep going – doing the right things – keeping our hearts filled with hope and love – WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS. It would be wonderful if the government acted like it gives a darn but I think that will change soon. Sending you HOPEFUL hugs!! 🙂

  2. I like it. It’s pretty simple… basic. Just take today and every day one moment at a time. Just this day, today has my attention. Just this minute right now be engaged in what I am doing. Don’t worry about an hour from now. Just do and enjoy now. This is a good Spark for me… Thank you. Good Morning! Still giggling over the thought that the Casa has a FUN spirit. Totally possible.

    • Yep – I’m thinking more like “watching over you” kind of spirit that likes to keep you two on your toesies!! Yep – that old saying “one day at a time” should be “one second at a time” – it might be work sometimes keeping focused on baby steps instead of running a marathon but it’s a lot less PRESSURE on us that way…………who needs pressure right? Right!!!!!! GOOD MORNING FLORIDAAAAAAAAAAAADOOOODEEEEEE!

Love ya, Pam and Mr. Boop

  3. I will tell you that this is the best thought for all of us. Especially me, as I am -hurry hurry gotta do it all and now- type of person.

  4. Absolutely love “things will get done when they get done.” I have had to take that attitude for a long time now. And sometimes they don’t get done, and that is okay too! This is definitely a good note to all ourselves. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

  5. We love this Spark! Mom and I don’t typically feel pressure, but if we did, this would help us relax about it. Everything always gets done. Mom used to tell this to her teacher friends when they started panicking about getting their report cards done. She said, “In your whole entire life did report card day ever come and the teacher say sorry, kids, the report cards aren’t done yet??” Never. Things always get done.

    Love and licks,

I wanna know what YOU've got to say!!
