Hi everybody. Ready to share your Thankfuls this week on Brian’s Blog Hop? Good – me too. If you want to link up just click Brian’s badge above and join in. These days we need to make sure we ARE thankful and Brian gives us a forum to share those things in.
We’re mighty thankful that we still have our health……we have minor things but no major things and no virus. BIG THANKFUL. Also thankful that most of the leaves are down in our yard because now our landscaper can come and blow them all into the woods and the yard will be CLEAN! I kind of like leaves as many of you know – but once the weather turns cold, even leaves can’t keep the cold out so I pretty much am finished enjoying a nice cool bed of leaves.
I’m also thankful that Angel Sammy sent us his poem this week………………..wanna see?
Happy Poetic Thursday
Another week has flown by for all of you hasn’t it. At the Rainbow Bridge there’s no time……………but we see the struggles you all have with time and wish we could help. We wish we could help in many ways but sometimes humans have to help themselves – this is one of those times. Take care of yourselves, do all the right things and that will make ALL of us happy!
Now – how about poetry? That makes me happy and I think those of you who are trying out the joy of writing a poem find that it makes you happy too. If you’ve never written a poem then why not start now? Every week I give you a photo to use as inspiration – you have a WHOLE WEEK to think of a poem and have it ready to share the following Thursday. I can’t wait to see what you wrote for the photo I gave you last week……………..here’s the photo followed by MY poem:
“Never Too Old”
Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell ©November 18, 2020
Here we are on a magical adventure
With no nursing home people providing censure!
Nobody to stop us from having some fun
You with your umbrella so you’re out of the sun
This skateboard we found on the path does the trick!
Let’s act like youngsters again – hop on quick!
I’ll hold you steady and pull you along
We’re having a ball – doing nothing wrong
All of us no matter what age have an inner child
Today we’re letting that out and going wild!
HA! I had maybe five or six ideas of where to take my poem for you today but this one was the winner in the end. That joy on their faces – the fun of maybe doing something totally fun and silly and wild. Why not? Maybe not dressed for the public but who cares?! Clothes don’t make the person – – – the heart does.
So did you write a poem? Great – let us know you did and give us the link to where we can read it………OR write it in Teddy’s comments on his blog. Either way, we invite you to share a poem every week. It’s good for the soul and it’s fun!
Here’s your photo for NEXT week’s poetry………………you have a week to come up with something! ‘Tis the season (for high electric bills!)
Wonder how long it takes to do something like this? My Mom strings some white lights on the railing on the front porch and puts candle lamps in the windows and it takes her about ten minutes. HAHAHA
Anyway, have fun coming up with a poem for the photo – I think it will be another FUN one! I’ll see you next Thursday OK? OK!
STAY SAFE AND HAPPY
Love Always, Angel Sammy
Thanks Angel Sammy – I love your poem this week. We can be happy at any age – it’s in the attitude right? Right!
