In Purrsuit of Flavours

Standard

Halloween is almost here!   That’s why for this “episode” of Purrsuit of Flavours our co-hosts, Chef Shoko and daPhenny decided we should all do a HALLOWEEN-ISH post!    There are so many fun and easy Halloween treats out there but this one we’re going to share is one of our favorites.  Mainly because my Mom is a BIG FAN of puff pastry.     It’s also incredibly easy to make and my Mom can make a pan of these “bones” disappear in no time!

Cinnamon Sugar Bones

Cinnamon Sugar Bones

Brush 1 thawed frozen puff pastry sheet with 1 lightly beaten egg white; sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Fold in half and roll out into a 7-by-11-inch rectangle; cut into twelve 11-inch strips. Tie the ends of each into knots and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet; brush with more egg white and sprinkle with more cinnamon sugar. Bake at 400 degrees F until puffed and crisp, about 20 minutes.

SUPER YUMMY INDEED!

      • Hey, how about kitties? Maybe mama will whip up a little pumpkin soup with that fish broth she’s simmering for bourride. Or maybe just give me the fish, ditch the broth.

    • Well this year sadly there are no trick or treaters coming for me to say MEOW to at the front door. It will be quiet with no little scary kiddos but we’ll have a fire in our fireplace and some spooky snacks of our own and watch a scary movie. I’ll sleep through the whole thing probably. HAHA
