I was about to take a nice cozy nap when Mom decided to do the filling in this week so I told her she could have the fill-in duty ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL to herself! Her words are in BLUE. Now – excuse me while I………ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ………….Hugs, Teddy
OK Ted – I’m up for it! Here are my fill-ins:
1. I feel like we’re all in the Twilight Zone these days – everything is just TOO different!
2. I wish I could exchange my bad back and hip for the ones I had when I was a lot younger (haha).
3. It’s time for me to get my drivers license renewed and I’m dreading it – I can’t do it online this year – have to go stand among the “masses” !!.
4. Binge eating sweets is really tempting these days. (but I’m resisting temptation…..well…..mostly!)
So that’s it for this week. Teddy is still napping so I guess I’ll have to say goodbye for both of us. It’s a gorgeous day here today so I’m going to go sit on the front porch and enjoy the no-rain/sunny day because tomorrow is a whole other story!!!!

I wish I could exchange my left arthritic paw/leg for a new one that works better.
It’s time for me to get to work helping mama make sure we have a stash of kibble in these uncertain times.
Just lying in sun puddles is really tempting these days, as summer is drawing to an end, sigh.

We have had a couple of cool days so far and are REALLY looking forward to more of them!! Also our leaves will start changing to gold, orange, red and we LOVE that!!! Stay comfy and we hope your Mama will become more comfy too……

I will have to renew my driver’s licence next year then every 3 years, but I can do it online.

Every so often here we have to have a new photo – and they make us go to Division of Motor Vehicles to do that SOOOOOOOOOO that’s all I have to do but there will be a long waiting line no matter WHEN I go!

You know, yesterday was a birthday pawty for my youngest son. His bday is this Saturday; but as they are going out to eat and have great day, the pawty for the family was yesterday. He wanted brownies, not a cake. Girl, they were home made and the total, best most fudgiest ever! Worse still, DIL made home made chocolate frosting for them. The frosting was at least 1/3 to 3/4 inch thick! I ate it! It took awhile, but I soldiered on. First sugar/confection/dessert food I have had since MAY 5th. Delicious, but I hope it doesn’t stir up craving for sugary things again. So, #4 is: eating great desserts is really tempting these days.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I assume you have Triple A, you can go their to renew your license and it will be a lot less crowded. That is what my mom and hubby did. Have a great day! XO

I do have Triple A but they don’t have an office here sadly – I have to drive an hour to get there………..BOOOOOO!

Here here on the younger US. I wish I had listened more to the warnings not to sit with my legs under my tush. Knees are paying the price.
Oh NO on the license…is there not some way for a Senior to renew safely?!

Oh I wish there was an easier way but they require you to come in even if it’s just to get a new photo – they are offering those new licenses to those who don’t have a passport but I have a passport so just need a regular license – hoping maybe that will help.

I’m actually amazed that I’ve pretty much maintained my weight these last months. Less exercise since we are home all the time – more comfort food just because we need comfort (!)……..so I guess this is my reward for social distancing and wearing a mask when I’m out………..not gaining 50 lbs. !!! 🙂

Dad says last time he had to get his they had new equipment and it only took a minute or five. Of course those with something other were sitting looking sad MOL. Oh to be young again

Ooooh, the dreaded DL renewal! The Human just turned the Big 7-0 and in CA when you are o-l-d (she doesn’t like to hear the word so I have to spell it) you have to go in person AND you have to take the written test. Ugh, Fortunately, she does still have 2 years left on her license so no worries till Dec ’22!

Thank heavens I don’t have to take the test – just have new license with THEIR photo. Not getting the special new license thing since I have a brand new passport. I’m hoping I can catch a break and be in/out in a flash!

Bowie’s daddy has to get his renewed too – here you have to schedule online and he couldn’t get an appointment for over 3 months!!

WOW! I was thinking an online scheduled appointment would be better but not if I have to wait that long! YIKES…..I think because we live in a small town they just think they can handle lines – I’m thinking there will be a “door monitor” at ours – allowing only a few people in at a time. At least I hope so!

Our mom could have done those fill-ins…they all work for her as well. She’d really love to have some of her body parts in better shape. So sorry you have to go to your Department of Motor Vehicles (or whatever it is for you) and get in line for your license this year. We are blessed, many of the notaries are also “mini-DMV” outlets where you can renew a license when online is not an option.
