First Things First – Happy Canada Day to our Canadian Friends!

Speaking of Canadian friends, our buds at CanadianCats (Tyebe and Shoko) teamed up with the Weims from Easy Weimeraner (Nelly and Phenny) for a monthly trip down the food aisle with recipes for sharing.   This month’s featured item is:    SUMMER FOOD!    If you’d like to HOP on board this Blog Hop – click the badge below and go to Canadian Cats, fill out the linky form and VOILA – you’re IN!

Well Summer is definitely here…………….and we all tend to eat more LIGHT stuff so we don’t get weighed down with having eaten huge meals and feeling sluggish!   Nobody wants to feel like a slug right?   This refreshing drink is SO SIMPLE TO  MAKE – even I can handle this one!

SO…………how about a nice, cool fruit smoothie???????

BANANA BERRY SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:  (makes one smoothie)

1 cup milk

1 banana

3 large strawberries

1 tablespoon vanilla yogurt

1 teaspoon honey

Directions:

In a blender, combine milk, banana, strawberries, yogurt and honey. Blend until smooth. Pour into glass and serve.

Yep – just the thing for a warm/hot day……………..Give it a try!

Hugs, Teddy

  1. This is a good one for me! Our strawberries are ripening like crazy and we are eating them until they come out of our ears! I will probably put a couple of extra ones in. I have organic natural yoghurt with honey so may not need extra to sweeten.
