Friendly Fill-Ins on Friday

Hello Friday!  It’s about time you got here…………………..that means Friendly Fill-Ins co-hosted by 15andMeowing and Four-Legged Furballs.     That also means we get four sentences full of holes (blanks) to fill in so you can learn more about us!    I’m all for that.     If you’d like to play along click the badge above and link up with us.

Here’s today’s sentences……………..I decided to let my Mom fill in ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the blanks this week – it’s a special treat for her instead of having to share with me!    Her words are in RED.

1. If you want a vacation these days, you have to find a quiet room in your house and close the door – that’s as close as you can get to a “vacation” during the pandemic!.
2. During the month of  August, I plan to sweat a lot as it’s our hottest month (just kidding on sweating – girls don’t sweat – we just get “dewy”!).
3. Others might think it’s strange that I only have one cat but if I COULD I’d have two – then they could be pals and buddies.
4. COOLER WEATHER seems so far away.

It has been a simply miserable Summer so far…………for a variety of reasons but one has been the incessant HEAT and HUMIDITY with only splashes of showers here and there.    Our front lawn is brown……..our birdbath is empty every morning……..maybe I’m just plain more sensitive to the temperatures now that I’m a lady of a certain age!!!!    Whatever it is, I’m tired of it and am ready for some beautiful FALL weather.    Fall and Spring are my favorites!     Oh well.    Might as well hunker down – one thing I can’t do a thing about is the weather.   PERIOD.
Now Teddy aren’t you sorry you let ME fill in the blanks today?   Tee Hee     Next week you can have them back – honest.

Hugs, Pam (and Teddy too)

Thankful and Poetic Thursday

Thursday!  Time for all of us who participate in Brian’s Blog Hop to share what we are thankful for this week.    If you want to play along, click the badge above and link up with us won’t you?    I am super thankful that we actually got a couple of raindrops this week – two days we had lots of noisy thunder and some decent rain but each of the two events lasted about 15 minutes.   Not enough to break the drought OR do much for all the outside stuff like grass, trees, and shrubs!    Oh well………it’s summer.   Guess we should be happy we got ANY “wet” at all.    I’m also very thankful that my Mom and Dad are still healthy – I am keeping a CLOSE EYE on them believe me!

I also got to be thankful that Angel Sammy’s email with his poem for this week arrived.   Let’s see what he’s got to say shall we?

Time for Thursday Poetry!!

Hello friends…………….hope you are all hanging in there and making sure you are taking care of yourselves as best you can.   Staying safe – using your masks – socially distancing AND washing your hands or paws!!    If you’re doing that then GOOD ON YOU!

Last week’s poems for the little baby eating watermelon were so adorable…………but I have a feeling the poems for THIS week are going to be really fun too.    So let’s get this party started shall we?    Here’s your photo that I gave you last week to use for today’s poem:

“Uh Oh!”

Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell    ©July 29, 2020

Wouldn’t you know this would happen Tom?

On our way to the Senior prom?

All dressed up and we get a flat tire

We’ll probably get there just under the wire!

Now don’t get grease on your new dress pants

You’ll smear it all over ME when we’re having a dance!

Don’t worry though – it’s really not that tragic

Our Senior Prom night will still be MAGIC!

Nice that she didn’t heap too much angst on poor Tom – after all it wasn’t HIS fault they had a flat!   Talk about bad timing though.     Anyway, these two will have a wonderful evening – one of those that every human remembers always – and the flat tire will make for a really FUNNY story they can tell their kids and grandkids many years from now (assuming they survive the Prom and decide to “get hitched”!!)

Now here’s the photo I found for all of us to use to write a poem for NEXT Thursday……………..I hope you’ll participate with me – Poetic Thursday is just a pile of fun!

Mom has a friend who will love this photo I know – she’s a horse aficionado and this is a very beautiful photo indeed.    But what kind of a mood will you use for your poem for this photo everyone?   It’s rather dreamy but is she out to give her dogs exercise or is she part of a hunting party or is she meeting someone special in a clearing in the woods?????

It’s up to you to figure that part out.    I’ll have my poem ready for you next Thursday and I hope you have fun with this one………………..

Take care everyone – keep safe and well.    It’s a MUST!

I am the Angel Poet in the green beret…..and I hope you join me for POETIC FUN each week!

Love always, Angel Teddy

Love the poem Angel Sammy and thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule every week to play poetry with me and our followers.    We have a lot of super duper poets who tune in on Thursdays don’t we?!

Hugs, Teddy

Teaser Tell All Class In Session!

Oh boy!  Time To Tell All!

Hi class!    We told the Graphics Department they must do a better job finding photos for Teaser – yesterday we had a bumper crop of right guessers – but of course there’s only ever ONE FIRST.   We’ll tell you about that in a minute.

I know – it’s killing us too.

ANYWAY – first thing we’ll do is tell you all about the FIRST COMMENTER………………………..however there wasn’t just ONE of them – there were THREE!!!

Yes three.   Can we have a drumroll please?

First Commenters were:   Friends Furever, Timmy Tomcat AND The Cat On My Head!!

Congratulations Sharon, Timmy and Janet – everyone wide awake at 7:51AM EST

Your badges – please take a copy

THREE of us were First Commenters on the Teaser of July 28, 2020! WOO HOO!

As we said earlier, we think the Graphics Department picked a photo this week that was just too easy………………..but it was a pretty one……….here it is again:

I guess this is a pretty popular and well known place (WHO KNEW???!!).     It is called Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach, Oregon.    Here’s some info on this place – interesting stuff and apparently a very popular place for tourists.

Like we said – WHO KNEW???!

I bet you want to know WHO was the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER?????

The Cat On My Head – Miss Janet gets TWO badges today!!!!

Here’s your badge:

I can’t believe it but I was FIRST RIGHT GUESSER on the Teaser of July 28, 2020!!

There was a BIG CROWD at the door of being RIGHT GUESSER this week and each of you who were – gets to take a copy of this home with you from class today!

I wasn’t FIRST to make a RIGHT GUESSER on Teaser of July 28, 2020, but I WAS right so I get this badge to show off!

And of course if you did guess but NOT correctly…………….you get a GREENIE!

Well I tried. I was WRONG with my guess on the Teaser photo of July 28, 2020 but at least I tried!!

Congratulations everyone – lots of winners this week – we’ll have to place an emergency badge order ASAP!

Cheer Team – you’re ON!

Well the traffic might be snarly
But we’re gonna ride our Harleys
But before we head off into the sun
We stopped here to share the fun
THREE FIRST COMMENTERS were a bumper crop
Sharon, Janet and Timmy just couldn’t stop!
Janet won AGAIN so she gets the BIG WINNER’s seat!
Graphics Department seems to have let us down
So tell us now – who hired this clown?????

Well dear Cheer Team, our Graphics Department is OUR MOM so you’d better watch what mud you sling around because she works HARD to find good photos.   We just have a lot of VERY SMART students!!!!   So there!   Now be on your way for your ride.

The rest of us are gonna go eat in the cafeteria!

I’m one hungry cat!   Let’s go!

Good work in class this week students!   Have a good lunch then head for your bus home!

Looks like we can come in from the heat gang – thorough search finds no lurking danger in the schoolyard – let’s go get a cold drink!!

Happy Tuesday Class!  Have you left a COMMENT yet?   You better hurry!

Clowie and her team have given us the go ahead for class today.   No introooooders to be found.   So let’s get started!

Today we have another Teaser from our wonderful GRAPHICS DEPARTMENT.   Your job of course is to figure out WHERE this photo was taken.   Not always easy is it!    Well as you are working on it you must remember the rules we ask that you follow……………..AND if you’re lucky enough to be deserving of a little award then you will win a BADGE!!

Alright!  Now the business is out of the way let’s get going…………….

Hey – slow down – you’re making our heads spin!

Sorry – we’re just excited to get the photo to you so you can begin agonizing over where it was taken.

We’re excited too Professors but it’s (yawn) early!  We go slow when it’s early!

Well maybe you just need a little wake-up music to get you going………………….THIS ought to do it!

Alright now that you’re AWAKE and ready let’s bring in our Teaser Photo Security Guard with today’s photo:

Here’s today’s photo Professors!

Cheer Team – from the looks on the students’ faces, I think you’d better come on in and CHEER them up!

Why do we see shock on all your faces?
You’ve guessed right before with harder places!
You can do it – we know you can
Be a Wonder Woman or a Superman!
So buckle down and think get those brains in gear
Or else we’ll feel like we wasted energy on our Teaser cheer!!

Thanks ladies……………I see some determined looks on those faces now – your cheer worked……………

We CAN do this! Yep!

Good – now that you’re all pumped up………..we can take a break and have some food OR you can stay here and work on your Teaser – it’s up to you…………………We Professors are heading for the cafeteria………….and your bus will be waiting after lunch or class either way to take you HOME!    Back in school tomorrow for the TELL ALL……..and badges !!

Happy Tuesday students…….time for lunch!!   Eat up!!

What’s On The Menu:

It’s a Date!  Good luck students!

SPARK on Monday

What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do?   Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on.   Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind.    Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you?   It might just start a spark in us too.

I found this SPARK – a quote by Emily Dickenson which I’ve seen many times – probably in some SPARKS that many of us in the blogosphere have posted before – and thought it was a good Monday thought for myself…..and maybe you too?

What a wonderfully imaginative way to think of HOPE.    I feel like it’s inside of me all the time and if I am quiet – I can hear it AND feel it.     More and moreso these days.    I HOPE that I can always and forever keep HOPE in my heart.   I also would wish that for you…………..

Have a great week ahead!

Teddy and I say “KEEP ON HOPING”

Hugs, Pam
