SPARK On Monday

Standard

Is it Monday again?   Wow……time flies doesn’t it………………….Time for us to share a SPARK.  What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do?   Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on.   Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind.    Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you?   It might just start a spark in us too.

I confess that when I saw this particular SPARK I’m about to share, I had thoughts that I’d either used it before or someone else had and I saw it on their blog.    It doesn’t really matter – what DOES matter is that it speaks to me.   I am VERY grateful for my friends…….and that goes for as far back as I can remember and that’s a lot of years for me!!   My friends have helped me through some tough times and I hope I have returned the favor.   I believe it’s a REAL friend who knows “that song” by the way !!

I’ve never been one to have a LOT of friends………..I have a lot of acquaintances, but throughout my life I’ve had very few close friends.    I guess you could say not a whole lot of people know that song I have in my heart………but that’s OK – the ones that do know it, know it by heart just like I know theirs by heart……………HEART TO HEART.

Happy Monday!

Love, Pam

(with a p.s. reminder from Professor Ted that tomorrow is Teaser Tuesday!)

  1. I too have loads of acquaintance but friends…just a few. I know what you speak of. It is a joy when sometimes acquaintances transition to friends. They become relatives rather than “just friends” after a time.

    • Good Morning Girlie!!! How’s things in your Casa? We have a pretty day – not humid – no rain – no intense heat – in other words it’s a miracle. HAHAHA Rain later this week though.

  2. That is such a lovely spark….I guess I’d say my closest friends know my passion for anything
that is RED, has cats on it or hummingbirds. Those all speak to my heart.
Teddy if I had to guess I’d say the song in your heart and mom’s is Memories form CATS.

  3. I really like this one. We’re getting really hot weather threw the weekend. And some rain today. Won’t cool anything off. I’ve got a bunch of green tomatoes on my plant. Waiting for them to ripen. And I saw two beans. My radishes didn’t make it. Think I planted them too close and too many. Have a great day.

    • That’s the great thing about friends – they never leave you – they are always and forever in your heart………….I’m glad your Granny’s friends remind her that she ALWAYS has them!

  4. I also have only a few close friends but a lot of acquaintances. It is good to know that you have a friend you can always rely on, and they can rely on you
I lost a very close friend in May last year to the evil c. We had been friends from the age of 5.

    • A lifetime friend is more than a friend……they are family and losing them is as painful as any other loss for sure. Friends are important for everyone – when you have very little family you widen your “family” definition to include those who have touched your heart in some way and been your friend – REAL friends.

  5. We try to find the songs in the hearts of the residents we look after too, very important right now that they cannot have real visitors…it reminds me of where in the Bible it says the Holy Spirit will pray for us, when we cannot…and I have been in that place more than once…its good to know others care; esp our friends.

  6. Pam, I have seen this before, and it is one that I really like. Those special friends only come along a few times in our lives and we need to cherish them. You are one of those for me. Love and hugs, Janet

    • Janet my friend I feel the same way about you…..and it’s a warm hug kind of feeling. I can’t remember where I’ve seen this but it speaks loud and clear to those who know what a friend really is and can be. ❤
