Hello everyone! Is it Thursday already? Yep – it sure is. If you’d like to join in, click the badge above and link up. Thanks to Brian who is this Blog Hop Host, we are celebrating again this week how thankful we are for many many things. Not the least of which is our health. We are also blessed with some SUN after days and days of rain and humidity and fog. We will have mostly sun for four days before rain comes again. How wonderful is that?
I’m also thankful that Angel Sammy got his email through to me last night – his Poetic Thursday note and poem are below. Enjoy!
♥♥♥
Hello Friends! Ready for some poetic fun?
I am – I look forward to Thursdays every week so I can spend a little time with you sharing poems we’ve written. The last several photos I’ve given you have been rather magical in many ways including the one for today. The photo for NEXT week which you’ll see later in this post, has a different kind of magic – it’s just a cool photo (I think anyway!).
So let’s get on with the show…………I hope you wrote a poem this week and if you did – let us know in comments so we can visit you and read it OK???? Here’s the photo from last week AND my poem.
“Lady Night”
Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell ©June 24, 2020
With balletic grace she crosses the sky
Bringing darkness, the moon, and stars in her eyes
Like tears the stars fall from her lovely face
And suspend themselves beautifully in the night with grace
Constellations shine for astronomers to see
The magic of night is there for you and for me
Lady Night’s gown touches earth with a soft caress
Until the early hours of dawn arrive and I must confess……
That while days are so light like a beautiful spark
Lady Night always beckons me with her gown so dark…………
Love that photo! Can you tell? I am anxious to read your poems today – I expect there to be all kinds of interesting interpretations of feelings from this photo. I have as I said earlier a different kind of photo for you from the past few weeks……….here’s the one you will use to inspire you for NEXT Thursday’s Poetic Thursday!
I bet you have a “germ” of an idea already – right? Good – hold on to that thought and write a poem about it.
We’ll share again next Thursday OK? Meanwhile please continue to take care of yourselves………………………We love and miss you up here at the Bridge but aren’t in a BIG HURRY to have you join us – got it? Good!!!

I am the Angel Poet in the green beret…..and I hope you join me for POETIC FUN each week!
Forever Love, Angel Sammy
♥♥♥
I liked your poem a whole lot Sammy………….thanks for continuing to visit me – and us – every week. It makes things a little more NORMAL to have you here………………….I’ll be a good boy I promise.
that was a beautiful poem… and maybe the stars are like tears because every star is one of our beloved ones we miss?

That’s a wonderful thought and I “see” that too in this picture……..there are SO many stars for all of us aren’t there………….

The poem is beautiful.
I always believe in being honest though, and visually something bothers me about that picture.
I think it is that she is so elegant reaching for the moon, but her dress follows the line of one of the hills and looks like a horse’s fat backside. I feel it would have looked better sweeping downwards.
Sorry, just my opinion but it takes nothing away from the lovely poem.

Oh I agree that the photoshopping/putting together of this image is poor – totally – but it was the graceful pose and the “thought” of the arrival of night in such a beautiful way that “spoke” to me. Glad you like the poem though!!

Oh golly – thanks Katie and Miss Carole! Angel Sammy is the poet in the family – I think when you are at the Rainbow Bridge there must be a lot of inspiration in the love and happiness that surrounds all who are there. Makes it easier to write poetry maybe…..but we have read some WONDERFUL poetry today by those who participated today – there will be more posted I’m sure…..so far this is a GREAT inspirational photo I think!!!!!
Hugs,Teddy (with Angel Sammy’s OK)

Yes we have had SO MUCH rain for about a month – even though days are mostly “some sun” and “some clouds” and “possible rain” it’s still been super nice spending a lot more time outside on the front porch – doesn’t matter WHAT the weather is like when you’re on a front porch. LOL

Oh Tabbies that’s a brilliant poem……The lady in blue has quite a job pulling the night across the sky – she looks rather delicate for such a BIG JOB but she’s doing it with grace (which is more than my Mom would be doing – she’d be falling on her face…oops….sorry Mom!). Thanks for coming by – and thanks for the nice whitefish sammmmmich I got when I visited you the other day!

I read the comment from the person that thought the gown looked like the back of a fat horses behind. I spewed my water all over the place.

Great poem, you captured what i wanted to say but could not.
While i’ve had a horrible time trying to catch up on everyone’s blogs (tornadoes and 11 hour work shifts anyone?), i hope it’s okay that i did post a couple of short haiku poems over here. Truly i will try to catch up with what i’ve missed very soon.

Sammy, that is one of your best poems EVER, and since all your poems are fantastic, that means this one is up among the stars. Mom feels terrible that she didn’t write a poem this week. We think she’s been frying her brain spending so much time in the yard. We promise she’ll get it together by next Thursday. I know Sammy smiled BIG at your comment – we think he did a good job this week too with that magical photo but Mom doesn’t like to say that because – well – she MIGHT have a little something to do with the poems! 🙂 Anyway, don’t feel bad about no poem – it’s tough times and people aren’t in a poetic mood – AND there’s lots to do outside as well…..We’re just happy to have you as friends!

Teddy, we’re so glad you’ve been having sunshine. We hope that sunshine keeps coming your way! Angel Sammy, this image was stunning, and your poem to go with it is equally beautiful. The new image of the flower immediately brought a memory and an idea to my mind, and I’ve been having a lot of fun working with that. Purrs!
