Hello friends! Hope you’re all well – we are at my house – and I am doing my best to make sure it stays that way! Today we Hop with our co-hosts 15andmeowing and four-legged furballs to fill in the blanks in sentences they provide us every week. You can sure learn a lot of stuff with this Hop…………if you’d like to join in the fun – click the badge above and fill out the linky form and THAT’S ALL THERE IS TO IT!
Here are today’s four sentences and Mom and I split them up again this week. If Mom is filling in, her words are in GREEN and if it’s my turn the words are in BLUE.
1. June is a good month to spend a lot of time outside – it’s not “sweaty wet” hot yet but the humidity is moving in – Great for cats but not so great for humans.
2. I love to play board games but David’s not a fan!.
3. I’m not ashamed to admit I am probably overweight but I’ve been at the SAME weight for over 15 years (maybe longer!).
4. I’d rather not give up my outdoor without harness/leash privileges so I’d better quit chasing wildlife into other people’s yards!!.
About #4 – Mom and Dad have allowed me to be outside WITH THEM (or one of them if both can’t) for over a year now and I’ve been very good. If I see a squirrel running to hop up in a tree I’ll make a dash for it – but sometimes the trees aren’t in MY yard!!! Mom says “NO TEDDY” and most of the time I stop. I just need to work on controlling my instincts!
So that’s the filling in for the week. Thanks to Miss Lorianne and Miss Ellen for giving us such swell sentences every week. We like doing our filling in!
Hugs, Teddy
ha! same here… I like it but mark dislikes board games totally… and to play alone is no option LOL

It is very hard to give up chasing squirrels! And rabbits! 😀
I never chase cats though.

Squirrels and Rabbits are fun to chase I agree………….and I actually HAVE chased a cat (oops) but I do fiercely guard my yard when I’m out in it. I don’t mind the “breakfast visitors” who come by – I just let Mom know they’re out there and wait for her to take them some food on the porch then I’m quiet and happy. I’m glad you don’t chase cats though Clowie – I think your cat might have had something to do with the training????

Aw, careful, Teddy! You don’t want to lose that ‘harness-free’ privilege you have, young man! Pam, I think you’re ‘just right’!

Yeah I have to watch it or that harness will go back on and I would NOT be happy. I’ll TRY….but this morning when I was out with Mom there were two chipmunks chasing each other all over the yard and I just HAD HAD HAD to chase them!

SSNS loves board games and I find them boring! I am at the highest weight I have ever been and it needs to come off. It is “sweaty wet” here. Teddy, sometimes it’s tough to control our instincts. You sound like you are being a good boy. Just listen when Mom and Dad say NO. Good Morning, Virginieeee!

Hello from Virginieeeeeeee to our buds in Floridaaaaaaaaadooooodeeeeeee! Mom says when the jeans get so tight she can’t bend over to pick me up then they’re too tight which means she’s too fat. I try to tell her that the jeans are just shrinking (!) but she doesn’t believe me.

Mom is actually amazed (so she says) that I mind as well as I do. I’m just giving her a break – you know – lulling her into a false sense of security. HAHAHAHAHAHA

I know it’s tough Teddy, but just watch the squirrels and don’t chase them. I agree with the humidity. We’ve had a few days like that this month, but today is much better with Spring like temperatures.

It’s nice here today too for a change. The biggest change is NO HUMIDITY to speak of! WOO HOO!

I am very thankful to not live in a humid area! Woodrow goes crazy when he sees a squirrel from inside…so I can only imagine how he’d be outside!

Having lived in Florida for several years I guess Virginia is a breeze compared to that level of humidity down there but it’s still pretty miserable!!! We live at the edge of a woods and our bird feeders are visited by tons of birds AND squirrels. Teddy sees squirrels EVERYWHERE….but so far he’s really controlling himself (as much as a cat can do that anyway!).

We played LOTS of board games when Sis of Angel Madi was younger. She loved the too as did I.
Her Dad not too much. Clue, Monoply, Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders…just a few.

When I was growing up my parents absolutely did NOT play board games at all with us….my brother and I would play but no parents – not even cards. My Mom played Bridge and when I was older she tried to teach me how to play but it made no sense to me (!!). Anyway, I LOVED Clue and Monopoly and all those old games a LOT too!!

Good filling in, T. I would say if your mom has been the same weight for a long time – it is NOT overweight. It is the perfect weight perfectly selected by Mother Nature and your mom’s body.

It took me a long time to understand that they want me to stay in my own yard. “NO!!” means no apparently…..saying NO to a cat is sometimes like telling the rain not to rain!! 🙂

Heh, two days ago mom didn’t notice I was also in the basement and the door out was open. I just walked out to my own place on the upper yard. Then I saw my mom running with crutches after me, I don’t understand why, I was just waiting she will take my harness and put in on.
Humans are sometimes acting strange.

You are lucky Teddy, your mom and dad trust you without a lease. I know its hard to stay still when those darn squirrels stick out their tongues and run but we have to. Dad doesn’t like board games either and mom loves them.

Mom and Dad would like it if they had a BIG screened in porch – then it would be the best of both worlds…..except I could no longer chase a squirrel if the need arose!
