Sunday Selfies Hop

Standard

Hi Hoppers!   Sunday is the day we get together to share our selfies courtesy of our hosts – Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head.    If you click the above badge – guess where it will take you?  Yep – to their site where you can hook up and HOP!

Mom actually got her camera out yesterday and while I was playing in the yard out front (or lounging under a bush or up on the porch) she snapped some NEW photos of me.   Thanks Mom!

We had a beautiful day – at least until around 2PM when dark clouds began assembling to the West of us and we realized we might be saying BYE BYE to our pretty sunny day.   Not unusual as we’ve had a lot of rain, cold temps and wind lately.   All three of us were outside though and Mom and Dad in their rockers on the front porch with me “hanging out”.

Groovin’ with Mom and Dad on the front porch on a Saturday afternoon…………….

Know what I’m doing here?   Waiting for my 20 foot long skink (OK……maybe it was actually about ten inches long) to come out from under the concrete steps!    I had him on the run but he ducked under the steps.   Plus it was a nice shady spot to curl up for waiting purposes!

Mom decided to use the photo of me “hunting” for that skink to make a puzzle for all of you puzzlers…………………..this one has a MEMORIAL DAY flair and NO Lunapic filters.

Click the photo for the puzzle!!!

Happy Memorial Day to all who have served or are serving their country………………….where would we be without those brave men and women?    Trust me – we don’t want to know.

Hugs, Teddy (and Mom)

  1. Teddy that is a great picture! Your Mom did a pretty picture. Perfect for Memorial Day. Looks lovely at your house. We had storms yesterday but then we are back in our summer pattern of storms every afternoon. Skink chasing sounds like a good holiday sport! Good Morning!

    • Miss Pix this skink guy I’ve got on the run is long and fast as lightning……I might be BIG but I’m fast too – sooner or later I’ll get him! My Mom and Dad send you and SSNS hugs and hopes for a nice peaceful Memorial Day. Mom says “update” her when you have a chance!! Inquiring minds (aka Mom) need to know what’s up in Florida-land.

      • I spent 5 days with Jerry and his kidney stone… need I say more? I will update when I feel sane again, hopefully today or tomorrow. Much better today, he is off for blood work for first PSA since treatments. I am waiting for results of biopsy from derma. Ah, time to myself.

  3. You have a great place to relax and watch for skinks Teddy. My Teddy has never seen a skink. I don’t think he’d be as brave as you:) Centipedes are the biggest thing he’s ever chased. Have a happy Sunday!

    • Mom hates them…..they freak her out like snakes which fortunately we don’t see around here (maybe twice in 24 years!). This one is the biggest EVER. Most of the ones we see are small – some are very colorful – this guy is just HUGE.

  4. Those are great photos of you. The element was out on our water heater. Fixed now. Going to be a hot one. Low 80’s. I think there will be some rain. Enjoy your day.

    • I really do enjoy my yard that’s for sure………..I have what Mom and Dad think is an annoying habit though – I go down to the front stone garden which is probably 20 feet away from the front porch where they sit – and get into the MIDDLE of the garden so they can’t see me. Mom goes crazy not being able to see me – she comes down to check on me about every ten minutes……they can’t SEE me if I should decide to sneak out the BACK of the garden!! I’ve done that a couple of times. UHOH……the deal was I could go outside without my harness and leash IF I didn’t run off or try to disappear. WHOOOPS!

  6. We love your front porch views, Teddy! Nice spot to sit on a hot day…it was 85 here today…and humid too, we could sure do without the humidity. Work was a scorcher for petcretary as they are kind of slow to turn on the AC there…but the resident rooms have their own heater/ac units, so that helps.

That is a nice image for Memorial Day.
There sure are way too) many who gave all for us to be free as we are today…corona lockdowns not withstanding…sheesh.
Our gov just extended again till mid June. Phooey.

    • The worry here is that everyone is too anxious to get back to their old ways – but I just think it’s happening too fast – we need to slow down………one step at a time. It’s a worry for sure that this thing will come roaring back with a vengeance if we don’t watch it!!
