Thankful and Poetic Thursday

Standard

Happy Thursday Friends……………time to be thankful and these days I think we ALL are thankful that we are staying healthy and doing what we need to do to remain that way.   If any of you ARE sick, I pray you will beat it………..!

Also today is Angel Sammy’s Poetic Thursday – I can’t wait to see what kind of poem he wrote for the photo this week.    It’s a photo of a fortune teller and she looks surprised by whatever she sees.   Maybe she sees the END of the pandemic?   I hope so!!!

♥♥♥

Hi Friends!    Ready for some poetry?

Good……….let’s get started then.    First I want to say if any of you are troubled or scared about the virus, remember we Angels are here working overtime to help keep our earthly families calm and happy.    We are sure that the scary times will end in the not too distant future and everyone can return to happier times and less worrisome times.    Just do the RIGHT THINGS to stay healthy.    Poetry is a nice way to let your feelings out.    TRULY!

Last week’s photo for this week’s poem was a fun one – fortune tellers have always fascinated my Mom.    She has tarot cards but that is NOT fortune telling – it’s a whole other “art” and a lot of fun – as well as a challenge – to learn.    Anyway, the lady in the photo this week looks like she’s seen something amazing………wonder what it is?   Me too!    Here’s my poem and if you have one – let us know in comments so we can read it!

“What’s This I See???”

Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell      ©April 8, 2020

Oh my word – what’s this I see?

Not your fortune I’m afraid…..this is about me!

A big event is on the way

In the near future but not today

I see trouble and strife and worry and gloom

I see a very small, cold, dank and empty room

I’m really not sure I want to see more

I just noticed something – there’s bars and no door!

There’s a man in a uniform talking to me

“Madame you were charging an exhorbitant fee!”

HAHAHA……..well I couldn’t resist writing that silly poem.   Sometimes I’m very serious when I write one and sometimes – well – my sense of humor gets the best of me.   Don’t forget to let us know in comments if you wrote a poem this week.   If you did NOT write one – why not?    I’m about to give you a photo to think about before writing a poem for NEXT Thursday – let this be your first try at writing a poem.   You will enjoy doing it.    I promise!    This photo will be another FUN one for poetry:

Now let’s see what you can do with this one……………….!     You have a whole week to think about it.    Then SHARE next Thursday.    In the meantime please stay safe………stay happy……..stay strong and above all stay POSITIVE!

I am the Angel Poet in the green beret…..and I hope you join me for POETIC FUN each week!

Love From The Bridge, Angel Sammy

    • Loved your poem too. I’ve never been to a fortune teller but have had my cards read by a tarot reader before and it was super interesting. I think there will be some wonderful poems written for this photo AND next week’s will be tons of fun too!

    • Pandas are just like great big adorable kids….they play and have the best time….you just look at them and smile – can’t help yourself. I still have my 72 year old Panda bear and would still be hugging it if I wasn’t afraid it would fall apart!!!!!

    • Hi Katie! I’m thinking your Mom absolutely could write a poem – and I bet if the two of you ladies put your heads together you can write one about those ADORABLE PANDAS for next week!!!!

  3. Thank you for the chuckle, that was a fun poem. Thank you to your mom for finding such wonderful inspiration. Next week’s photo is adorable. I have tarot cards, but I prefer reading playing cards- I have a book on how to do it. XO

    • Never really knew you could just read playing cards vs. tarot but I imagine it’s a similar thing. I have two tarot books – and used to do that a LOT but not in YEARS and YEARS.

    • My Mom is a Pandamaniac too…..that photo is so adorable. We just love it and can’t WAIT to see the poetry written for it. Cooper did a wonderful job with your poem and believe me – nothing would make me happier than seeing the Coop and Tyebe as an “official” couple!!!

    • Brian thanks for hosting the hop – when things are “like they are right now” – taking time to remember what we have to be thankful for is super important! You all take care too !

  4. I would have lent Buster the Bard’s talents to this week’s poetry challenge…. but as you saw, he kind of expired on me again. I’m sure he had a great poem about being mistaken for bamboo by two pandas…
