Friendly Friday Fill-Ins

Standard

Friday!  WOO HOO!   We made it to the end of another week – and not a “fun” week either so having some fun today is our reward to sticking with it this week.    We all stayed home if we could and didn’t hang out with groups of peopleright?   Then we deserve a QUIET Friday and weekend!     If you’d like to do some filling in today – all you have to do is hook up to one of our co-hosts, 15andMeowing  or Four-Legged Furballs (click the badge above)  and fill in the linky form.     Thank you to our co-hosts for this really FUN hop and way of getting to know each other.

Here are the FOUR sentences our co-hosts gave us this week.   Did I let Mom have a turn or did I steal all the filling in fun for myself?    Both of us had a chance! – if the words are MINE they are in GREEN and if they are my Mom’s they are in BLUE.

1. April is a good time to eat grass in the yard – it’s fresh, tender, and in between mowing it’s the PERFECT length to chew on!
2.This time last year, I was finishing up all the travel arrangements for our annual trip to Maine in September – not so sure about THIS year!.
3. I am determined to get either Mom or Dad (or both of them) to take me outside for some air AT LEAST twice a day!
4. I have no intention of giving up hope that we will have our trip to Maine this year until the VERY LAST SECOND.

Well Mom – I know you and Dad love your trip to Maine so I won’t gripe about how I have to stay at the Pet Hotel for a few days when you go.   You two deserve a break – and will deserve it even more by the time you go.   Let’s all just hope and pray that this virus is GONE by then.   When I say GONE – I mean G O N E !
Happy Friday everyone and have a SAFE and peaceful weekend……………………stay out of crowds and stay home if you can……………

Can I go back to sleep now Mom?    Good!

Hugs, Teddy

  1. I agree, Teddy, I hope the virus is in the past by then with no later flare ups.
We cancelled 2 cruises in May and June but still hopefully have the September cruise to look forward to. If there is still the slightest doubt then we will cancel it too.

    • Mom and Dad will certainly cancel their end of September/early October plans as well but they’ll be hanging on until the last minute hoping for the best – which is just what we hope for your September cruise!

    • Yep – besides the nuns at the Pet Hotel LUV me and think I’m adorable (even though they have trouble carrying me because they are SMALL and I am BIG!!!!). I also know by now that if Mom and Dad take me there – they WILL be back to get me – not like at the shelter when people came, saw me, and left me (except for my Mom and Dad of course!) Sniff.

  4. Good morning, Teddy,
our kitties seem not to care what the grass looks like: just a few days ago I found Savannah nibbling even at the withered grass I had sprayed with vinegar. She didn’t care at all! Can you believe that.
I think you know that our kitties may run about in our yard by themselves. They seem to be staying close to the house and they usually come in late in the afternoon at the latest. So we’re not very worried. Well, not worried too much, that is.
Take good care, and stay healthy, all of you,

    • I’m glad your kitties know where there yard is and feel happy and safe – AND know to come back inside in the afternoon. I know where my property is too but I still get a little adventurous and Mom and Dad or one of them anyway is always with me when I’m out there. We see foxes sometimes in the yard IN THE DAYTIME……..YIKES!

  5. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I hope you get to go to Maine so I can see you, but I certainly understand if you change your mind- your health is far more important. Have fun outside Teddy-enjoy that grass. My kitties are jealous. XO

    • That’s just what we’re doing – you, Lenny and the boys (and your beautiful extended family) stay safe too. We must do what they tell us to do and while it might be BORING – it will keep us from getting sick. STAY SAFE DEAR CAREN…..

  6. I hope you can take your trip. They offered me some time off of work so I toke it. A non paid leave but; I don’t have to be scared everyday going to work. This morning they had Walmart all taped off and could only go in a certain door. I think they are limiting people. Not sure. Son had to use another door to get into work. He has to have his temp taken and wear a mask and gloves now. Hope you have a wonderful and safe day.

    • Sue we ALL hope this situation we’re in will be resolved SOON……meanwhile just stay safe – it’s a pain in the neck for everyone but it’s what we MUST DO – we want to come out on the other side of this with our health (and our lives!). Scary times. You and your son stay SAFE.

  7. I hear you on #2….February 2020 was our 50th. We had plans for a big trip for late spring or early fall. I would not make any reservations now. Just have to go somewhere within the US of A once the restrictions are lifted.

    • Yes – we were going to do a 30th anniversary cruise through France in September but did NOT make those reservations thankfully – we’ll definitely settle for Maine for the occasion but we’ll have to WAIT AND SEE! You guys deserve something REALLY FAB for your 50th. How about a train trip to Niagara Falls?

    • I got to go outside twice yesterday but it was SUPER DUPER WINDY and that kind of disorients me – I think maybe I can’t smell properly so I’m constantly looking around and checking for danger – I have to protect my Mom and Dad after all (and they protect me in case a fox sneaks up on me they can chase it off!). Stay safe.

  8. Teddy, we like to eat all that fresh grass too. Sometimes Timber doesn’t do so well with it – he has a very sensitive tummy.

We hope your trip can happen. Mom and Dad had travel plans too, but all is on hold for now. Heck, they can’t even travel to the grocery store:(

    • It’s good to have something “out there” to look forward to. Makes the passing time a bit less difficult with a reward like that at the end of the storm. Hopefully the “storm” will be gone by then! For ALL our sakes!!

  11. Teddy, you and your mom did fantastically on these fill-ins! Around here, pup Astrid is the one who really agrees with you on how yummy that grass is, Teddy. Do you ever vomit it up? Astrid sure does. Green puke is something else. And I hope you get to go on your trip! Some of my family members planned a trip to Tennessee for June, and at this point that might not be possible. I know everyone will be so glad when this pandemic is done and gone. Purrs and well wishes!

    • Angel Sammy used to get sick eating grass – but I never do. Maybe when I get older I will like he did. I think travel is up in the air (even though a lot of planes no longer are!) – but it’s kind of one day at a time as far as what’s going to be happening in a month or two months or more. We all just have to hope things get better and soon. Stay safe you guys!
