Friendly Fill-Ins

Standard

WOOOOO HOOOOO!  Friday is here and you know what that means………….time for the Blog Hop that lets us express ourselves AND find out about each other!    Each Friday our co-hosts 15andMeowing and Four-Legged Furballs give us two sentences each with blanks to fill in.    You can learn a lot from a “filled in blank” !!    If you’d like to join the fun – click the badge above and fill in the LINKY Form.

Here are this week’s sentences and if the word is MINE it’s BLUE and if the word is Mom’s then it’s RED!

1. I am trying to quit snacking on junk.
2. I always snore when I nap!.
3. Feeding our visiting kitties has my seal of approval.   (we have a couple of regular visitors to our outside heated kitty house and Mom feeds them – I don’t mind – they’re kitties like me and need a helping hand)
4. I would not recommend a life without a pet – it’s nice to have someone to talk to who doesn’t JUDGE you!.

Done!    That didn’t take long now did it.    You should go to 15andMeowing or Four-Legged Furballs and click on everyone’s links who join in on this HOP.    You might be surprised what you read.   Everyone fills these out differently of course but you ALWAYS learn something from them!
HAPPY FRIDAY PEEPS!

Hugs, Teddy

  1. Unfortunately, DH & I are allergic to indoor pets and since we do not a place where outdoor animals can stay warm during the winter months then a life without pets sadly is our destiny. I’d love to have both cats and dogs. Snacking on junk foods is a bad habit I have, too. The best I can hope for is to just cut back. 🙂

    • I know a lot of people have allergies which means no inside pets. Happily there are so many other fun things we can be involved with and even support animals even if we can’t HAVE then in our homes by donating to shelters or sponsoring adoptions, etc. I have tried to eat more “good for me” snacks in my life but always gravitate back to junk because – well – it’s more satisfying than gnawing on a carrot! LOL

      • Yes, my MIL, (passed about 10 years ago) was on a floor with a resident cat. I thought it was cool yet one visitor kept screaming about how “dirty” they are. I thought she was talking about people visitors! 🙂

        • HA! Funny what people think sometimes. My Dad bless him wouldn’t allow us as kids to have a cat – he said he hated them because they killed birds. Well he was right – they do – but not ALL do and housecats certainly don’t. It was just a “thing” with him. When I moved out and got my first apartment, I got my first cat. He LOVED that cat! 🙂

          • That often happens. My mom loved animals so we had them growing up. We had a family dog who lived for 18 years. Cats were indoor/outdoor back then and weren’t neutered so they rarely lasted longer than 2 years. When I started working and got a kitten from a friend’s litter, I had her neutered. I had her for 14 years. She was mostly inside but occasionally went outside. Since Jake, my cats are strictly indoors but they have a screened porch they can enjoy.

          • I would love to have a screened porch…….that would mean one of us wouldn’t need to be with Teddy when he goes outside – he LOVES the outdoors and if he was a feral or barn cat as we suspect before we got him, he just “has” to go out there. I’m going to continue to “work” on my husband for that screened porch!

          • The peeps here LOVE the screened porch. Sometimes in the summer all of us are napping there. It also gives the cats the breezes and smells of outdoors without the worry. Yes, work on that.

  2. Thank you both for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I bet the snacking is my fault with the Smart Food- but, it is sooo good. Has Teddy tried it? Brody loves it. Teddy, you are sweet to let your mom feed other kitties. Have a great weekend! XO

    • We got the heated house about five years ago and have had it on the front porch during winter ever since. Almost always there’s one visitor in the winter who uses it – sometimes we’ve had “day shift” and “night shift” visitors……and everyone gets breakfast in the morning! “Teddy’s B&B” at your service!

  6. Happy Friday! Yes, i feel sorry for those who can’t have pets. One of my clients is so allergic, they’ve never had a pet. Their adult disabled son comes with me to the shelter sometimes to volunteer, and it makes him so happy to see the cats.

    • I know there are people who can’t have pets for one reason or another…..everyone finds their “happy” in different places but I’ve always been grateful that I CAN have pets because they make my world happier AND more fun!

  7. Very great job by both you and Mom Pam. A couple of us snore when we nap as well. We think it is great that you all take care of neighborhood kitties. Our mom totally agrees with #4. The only time she lived without a pet was her Freshman year in college. Love to all. • I used to enjoy your stories of the visitors too…..hopefully none of them met with a sad end – I prefer to think they either moved with their families, OR found a family that took them in! Things are rough when you don’t even get a possum-visitor!

  8. Teddy, you and your mom always have such wonderful fill-ins. It is so nice of your mom to feed the kitties outside, and it’s so nice of you to approve of it. We feed kitties who come around our house as well, also in a heated shelter. All the kitties here are okay with it, except for Tonks, who is not terribly nice to the visitors when she sees them outside the window. She’s getting better about it, though, thank goodness. And we completely agree that life is not complete without a furbaby! Kitties, pups, and all companion animals offer unconditional love, and that’s a wonderful thing. Purrs!
