SPARKS on Monday and a Reminder

Standard

What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do?   Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on.   Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind.    Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you?   It might just start a spark in us too.

I was thinking this morning just how much I truly come away with and apply to ME when I’m cruising through quotations looking for a perfect SPARK on Mondays.   I read so many wonderful quotes by amazing people – a lot of them stick with me.   I personally get a big SPARK just from reading other SPARKS – and that’s precisely why I think it’s super to participate in this sharing exercise every Monday.  Great way to start the week.     The following is my SPARK for today and was just one of many that really spoke to me this week:

I sure do like this one……………I’m going to think of it and repeat it whenever I’m asked “what do you think will happen next week????” or anything similar to that.   One moment at a time is all we can REALLY control.    This helps us get through a whole lot of things if we just remember this.

Hope everyone has a great week ahead……………………ONE MINUTE AT A TIME!

Hugs, Pam

  1. Boy, that is a hard thing to do. It’s like we are predisposed to worry. I love the sentiment though and in my better times, I try to follow it. Things are so much more calm when you do.

    • I agree that it is hard to do – some of us are natural worriers especially if we’ve had BIG THINGS to worry about. But even then we couldn’t control those things – they were going to happen – they are PART of our lives but we can’t control them. We live with them AND they are part of who we are. Things are a lot less complicated for our kitties though!!!

    • Well I think we animals and critters of all kinds don’t really KNOW the concept of worrying about the future – we truly do live in the moment – it’s mostly advice for humans who want to know what’s in the future and worry about what was in their past. We creatures KNOW that already!

    • You’re right – it’s hard not to think ahead just like it’s hard not to have regrets about the past but that’s done – tomorrow is ?? and today we can deal with. Just one minute at a time – slow but sure!
