Friendly Fill-Ins on Friday

Standard

Have you recovered from the holidays yet?    We KIND of have.  All the presents have now been put away (except mine of course – my toys are everywhere!) – all the rearranged furniture is back where it belongs (from company being over) and Mom has caught up on all the laundry (miracle).    I’m snoozing under the tree without interference from wrapped gifts (heavenly) and even though I know my tree time is coming to an end soon, I’m already looking forward to seeing it pop out of the basement next year.    In the meantime, we are still all getting together for Friday fun with the Blog Hop co-hosted by 15andmeowing and four-legged furballs.   So much fun – they each give us two sentences with blanks and all we have to do is fill in and share – we learn tons about everybody and they learn about us!   Cool huh?

Here are the sentences they gave us for this week.    I’m letting Mom fill in this week – just a little extra Christmas gift from me.    (tee hee)   Take it away Mom!

1. On New Year’s Eve, I will be sound asleep when we enter the year 2020 – as usual!
2. My focus word for 2020 is LOVE – why?   David and I will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2020.
3. Feeling like a “fresh start” is the best thing about starting a new year.
4. My personal goals for 2020 include weight loss, fitness, paying attention to my health, being HAPPY.

I hope all of you had a great Christmas now let’s put all our energy into having a GREAT NEW YEAR – sound like a plan?   GOOD!    Glad you’re on board with me.

Love, Teddy

  1. Happy Furiday! Great answers, Miss Pam. The New Year is a fresh start, isn’t it? But, like you, Teddy, I hate the thought of “my” Christmas tree going back in hibernation. I love lying under it!

  2. These are great fill ins. There is nothing better than love to focus on. We have our 50th wedding anniversary in 2021, and I WILL be here to celebrate it.
We made new friends during our Christmas break away. One is in a similar position to me, and all four of us have booked for next Christmas so we can meet up again and celebrate another year.

    • What a GREAT idea – I’m glad you and your new friends booked there to spend Christmas 2020 together. You certainly will have that 50th anniversary and I want to know WHERE you will spend that one!!! Fifty is a BIGGIE!

  3. I can’t sleep the new year in, or I’ll get fired…

I’ve actually been awake for every year changeover since the first one I can remember, which was NYE 1979. I came very close to falling asleep the night 2000 rolled in, but as soon as the millennium changed, I went right to bed…

    • I used to stay up but that was probably 40+ years ago. I’m yawning by 8PM these days………I’m sure the fireworks will wake me up but with any luck it will RAIN and we won’t even have that nuisance! HAHAHA

  4. Mom Pam has some ambitious goals, and we hope she meets them. Love is a good focus word for every year. That staying up until midnight is tough. You and your New Year card look terrific. • Well there will be no midnight staying up around here – all three of us will be snoring in the new year I’m quite sure BUTTTTTT that doesn’t mean we aren’t happy to see that new start!
