Happy Thanksgiving Thankful Thursday !

How convenient that Brian’s Thankful Thursday is here……………..we can celebrate all the things we’re thankful for just like always only enjoy having a nice big meal at the same time.    I really am most thankful for having so many friends and a Mom and Dad who love me and gave me a forever home………I’m also thankful that Mom and Dad are only going to be gone one night for the holiday and be home Friday morning because I do miss them when they’re gone – even for an hour!     I hope all of you have a really wonderful Thanksgiving celebration today and if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving – I am just as thankful for your friendship and fun.

Happy Thanksgiving and Poetry Day!

So glad to see everyone – I can take this opportunity to thank you for being such loyal poetry fans – even if you don’t write poetry, you seem to appreciate poetry – not just my humble poems every week but you visit those who ALSO write a poem when they put a link in our comments.    We get to read lots of wonderful poetry that way…..poetry written by you based on a simple photo.    Isn’t that great?

Here’s the poem from last week that was to be your inspiration for this week’s poem:

“Thanks Little Brother!”

Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell        ©November 27, 2019

People think pups never run out of steam

Well they’re wrong – believe me – that’s just a dream!

Walking around town with the Mom and “the little man”

I try to keep up by walking fast as I can

“The little man” is getting big and says he’s all grown up

Well the family dog isn’t too proud to ride; I’m an “elder pup” !

The Mom lets me ride when “little man” wants to run

And I have to admit riding in the stroller is a whole lot of fun

I’m thankful to have such a great family

One that appreciates the family dog – that’s little old me!

Not exactly a THANKSGIVING post I suppose – but I do think that if indeed the family dog is a little tired and that stroller isn’t occupied then why the heck not let him ride along and rest his weary paws?

Did you write a poem for today?    If you did, let us know in comments – we want to read it!    And I found a photo for all of you to use as inspiration for next week……….here it is:

Interesting one isn’t it?    Talk about a crowded apartment building.    Well, let’s see what we all can do with this little gem for NEXT week shall we?     I love a good poetic challenge.

Meanwhile, all of us at the Rainbow Bridge want you to know that we wish we were with all of you today just as much as you wish we were.    Holidays are the hardest for we Angels just as they’re tough on the family and friends we have left behind.   Just know that we will be there in spirit………..

I am the Angel Poet in the green beret…..and I hope you join me for POETIC FUN each week!

Always and Forever, Angel Sammy

♥♥♥

Thank you Angel Sammy……………………save a seat for me at the Thanksgiving table at the Bridge – one day – hopefully years from now though – I will join you there………….we’ll eat and eat and eat and laugh and tell stories and be together forever until Mom and Dad join us one day.

Love and Happy Thanksgiving, Teddy

    • Angel Sammy has told me that they celebrate Thanksgiving at the Bridge and when they say their prayer they thank all of their families HERE for loving them and taking care of them until their time to go. They are THANKFUL for us and we are THANKFUL to have had them in our lives. We loved your Thanksgiving poem…..it was kind of a different photo – next week’s is DIFFERENT too! LOL

      Hugs, Teddy
