SPARK on Monday and a Reminder

Standard

It’s Monday again!    Time to SPARK your week ahead with a thought…………… What exactly IS this Monday SPARK thing we do?   Well, most of you know that Annie of McGuffy’s Reader – who started SPARKS – was hacked and has been on an extended break from blogging although her idea to spread some inspiration on Monday of every week goes on.   Many of us who participated in her SPARKS Blog Hop and found value in sharing a thought on Monday continue doing that to hopefully give each other a “Monday boost” – perhaps something to think about to inspire us in the week ahead OR help us deal with something that’s on our mind.    Why not join us by sharing something that SPARKS you?   It might just start a spark in us too.

It’s Thanksgiving week and I guess we all focus on what we’re thankful for…………I talk about that all the time – and let people know when it’s THEM who have caused me to be thankful so today’s SPARK for me is just a little different…………it’s something I saw that struck me as SO TRUE but I’d never really thought about.    I hear other people say “I wish I could be just like so and so” or “I wish I could be more like her” but know what?   We need to be OURSELVES – our genuine – imperfect selves!    Why?

YES – we are what we are and who we are………..and that really is GENUINE.    We really shouldn’t try to be LIKE someone else………..we are what we are.    Did it take me over 70 years to realize this?   Maybe………….although I had it staring me in the face more than once in my life.  Now though is when I BELIEVE IT.    And I will be ME until the end.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving if you celebrate it – and if you don’t have a wonderful week anyway!

Love, Pam

Professor Teddy asked me to remind those of you who are Tuesday Teaser class fans that class is in session tomorrow at a surprise time so be purrrpared!

  1. I hadn’t thought of it like that either, but it is true. If you try to be like someone else you are giving out a false persona.

  2. Oh, I’m all about being quirky and unique… I am me! It’s got me in trouble and misunderstood most of life but hey, I’m just doing it the only way I know how. I’m me and that just has to be enough… 🙂 Pam, you are a special original ♥

    • Hey Pix……I can’t imagine being a cookie cutter kind of person either and I’ve NEVER been sorry I feel like that – I am me – take it or leave it – and THANKS for being my friend……!! 🙂 ❤

  3. So true. I sparkle when I’m just being me. If, I try to mimmick Budd or Shoko my attempts fall flat and it looks like I’m making fun of them. I have to be me cause no one has the excitement and thrill for new adventures that I do. At least not amongst us furries.

  4. All the variety is good, if we remember that we are all different, yet the same in many ways, we should be able to embrace the diversity around us instead of trying to mimic it…even though it is said that mimicry is the sweetest form of flattery! Yikes two opposite thoughts! See? We are all different but yet the same:)

Not sure if we’ll make it tomorrow, but if we do, we shall be late as usual! Hmmm, well someone has to be late, right??MOL!

  5. That truly is an excellent Spark. Cats are always their genuine selves without compromise. So humans can use us as their role models for always being themselves. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
