Hello! Happy Friday! Hope everyone made it through MEOW-LO-WEEN with no big scares! We had big storms at my house so only about 9 brave trick or treaters out for the evening. I took a look at them when they arrived – some great costumes!
The Friendly Fill Ins hop is co-hosted by Four-Legged Furballs and 15andmeowing and it’s a lot of fun every Friday. Four sentences with blanks in them – two from each of our hosts – and we just fill them in! Sometimes I do them, sometimes Mom does them, sometimes BOTH of us do them. Below are this week’s sentences and I let Mom do ALLLLLLL of them this week! Her blanks are filled with her words in RED!
1. I never read the whole Sunday newspaper – just certain sections that don’t depress me (!)
2. I mainly read mysteries, other non-fiction.
3. The beginning of a new month is just another marker of time moving so quickly.
4. Talking “baby talk” to Teddy makes me feel silly. (but I do it anyway because I WANT to and he seems to like it!!!!)
OK Mom – now everyone knows how you talk to me. Oh well……………it’s true that I love it – SO THERE! Next week maybe I’ll do all four sentences myself.
Everyone have a GREAT Friday!
I read the news very selective too… only the things what will not cause bad feelings… but… that means I better should read other things hahahaha

It’s almost hard to find GOOD news in a newspaper these days but Mom knows which sections of the paper are “safe” – we only get a Sunday paper – we quit taking a daily one.

I assume you meant black, not red. I don’t read the newspaper or watch the news. It’s all bad. I scan the headlines on yahoo and occasionally read something that is of interest but bad news stories are rarely of interest.

Teddy, we wish we could hear your mom talk to you. Our humans just talk regular to us. Our mom likes to read the same things as your mom. We just had a few Halloweenies last night spread out over three hours. Two boys had on their jams, Hawaiian shirts and beach towels around their necks. Good costumes for a warm but super stormy night. Have a nice sunny day. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

Cute costumes on those boys…….we had a couple of “unidentifiable” costumed kids – probably something THEY know about but we old people don’t – AND a vampire, a magician, a clown and a ballerina that we “recognized”.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I think it is sweet that you talk baby talk to Teddy. I only read the book section and obituaries in the Sunday paper. Have a nice weekend! XO

I think it is a know fact, can’t quote source, but animals respond best (well we all know cats respond when it suits them) to high pitch voices. We both had certain songs we sang to Madi too…

I know you sang to Madi….I think the melodic sound is soothing for them just like baby talk is. Interesting……….!

I only talked baby talk to the boys when I was medicating them. The rest of the time I would hold a “normal” conversation with them.

Our local paper is so useless these days. and not worth the $$ they want us to pay.

Teddy, your mom answered the fill-ins purrfectly! I also don’t read the entire newspaper, often even none of it. That’s terrible of me, but I honestly just can’t take what it’s there most days. And I baby talk to my kitties and pup constantly! I even have silly little songs I sing to each of them, usually with rhymes involving their names. They seem to enjoy it, at least usually. Purrs!
