Thankful and Poetic Thursday

Hello Friends!   Thursday has rolled around again and it’s time to tell what we are THANKFUL for and share that through Brian’s Hop!   If you’d like to do the same, click his badge above and link up with all of us.    I also share with you the Poetic Thursday post that Angel Sammy sends me every Thursday but that will come LATER……….

First up – being thankful.   I think today I will spend a minute thanking all my blog followers for sticking with me.   We try to make my blog fun – my Editor in Chief (aka Mom) helps me get things together and we like to do special posts every week like Tuesday Teaser and SPARK on Monday.    We think by doing some regular features everyone will have something FUN to do on certain days of the week if they visit us!    Without friends we wouldn’t bother blogging believe me – my Editor in Chief says there are lots of OTHER things she’d spend time doing if we didn’t have a blog.   SO – thanks again for sticking with us for all these years.   We’re having fun and hope you are too!

Now on with the show and our Poetic Thursday from Angel Sammy.   He transmits it to be from the Rainbow Bridge every Wednesday night and I prepare it to go out to all of you on Thursdays after we’re Thankful with Brian………………….

Greetings Poetic Friends!

First of all I have to tell all of you who did posts for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day yesterday THANK YOU.   All of us Angels were touched.    I won’t go on and on and on about it but just wanted you to know we saw your posts, we felt your love, and we are always by your side.

Onward to our poems!    Anyone tuning in for the first time should know that once a week we get together here on Teddy’s blog to celebrate poetry – in particular, poems written with a photo in mind.   I find what I think is an interesting photo and all of us write a poem about it !     Easy right?    I hope you wrote one – let us know in comments if you did.

Here’s the photo I gave you last week to work on – followed by MY poem for the photo – followed by NEXT Thursday’s new photo for all of us to use!

“Tiny Talent”

Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell    ©August 28, 2019

Inspiring talent

In such small hands is magic

The world will love her……..

Yes it’s a haiku and NO I haven’t written one for this blog feature EVER.    But the small virtuoso at the piano inspired in me a small poem in honor of what I am sure is her LARGE talent.    We’ve seen and heard some most amazing things from youngsters through the years……incredibly talented tiny tennis players, ballerinas, singers, students – you name it – some of the tiniest of us and youngest of us have enough talent for TEN adults!     Some are so blessed and we are hoping this little girl in the photo will continue the road she’s on to develop her talent more, as she outgrows the booster seat and pedal extensions she has at this stage in her life.    She looks like a very gifted little Angel.

So are you ready for next week’s challenging photo?    I bet you can write a poem for ANYTHING if you set your mind to it!!   The photo for next week is something different……but we get a FEELING from it and that’s what I want us to follow when we write our poems……………

Good luck everyone……………….and I will look forward to seeing you here on Teddy’s blog next Thursday………….in the meantime – HUG SOMEONE!    Wait until you see how happy it makes them!

I am the Angel Poet in the green beret…..and I hope you join me for POETIC FUN each week!

Love, Angel Sammy

Thanks Angel Sammy……………I know Mom and Dad will forever love you and I can only hope after I’ve joined you at the Bridge, they will forever love me too!

Hugs, Teddy

    • From the girl who said she couldn’t write poetry we have a wonderful poem today – see? I told you that you could do it!! It’s fun too isn’t it. Next week’s photo is liable to spark all kinds of thoughts in people’s minds so will be an interesting week.

      Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  1. I always enjoy your posts. Excellent haiku. And next week’s photo has already got my brain working 🙂 Thanks for finding such great prompts. Have a great day! XO

    • Nora? No! Is she a piano kitty? I’ll have to check that out……..I bet Angel Sammy could have played – with his extra thumb and everything he could have been a STAR! Thanks you guys for coming by – we love your haiku too…..short but sweet makes haiku FUN! We’re fine and we hope everything in Troutville is good too……WE LOVE YOU!

      Hugs, Ted-o-nator

  2. The haiku is purrfection. You needed no additional words. Mom is looking forward to next week’s photo. Her main mode of transportation in college was hitchhiking. This girl, however, appears to have all her possessions with her. Bet she has trouble getting a ride. We are thankful to have found your blog way back when and that you have become bestest of friends to us and our mom. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

    • So happy you liked Mom’s “mini-poem”… honor of the mini-piano player! Next week’s photo is interesting isn’t it? Mom says in her day everyone hitchhiked and there was no worry about being murdered or kidnapped or any of the things you have to be careful of these days with “life on the road”. We are happy that you play poetry with us every week – and Mom says she’s thrilled that you and she met and are friends. Somethings were just meant to be.

      Hugs, Teddy

    • We read your Mom’s poem this morning – it really is fabulous – she’s such a wonderful poet! It was an adorable photo wasn’t it? Next week’s is – well – just a bit scary! Hitchhiking these days is not a good idea……..

      Hugs, Teddy

  3. Teddy, we are so thankful for friends like you! You always make us smile and make our days more fun. We sure are sorry we are so inconsistent with visiting and commenting, though. This here human is to blame, though she is trying to get better about it. Time management is a real struggle sometimes. Angel Sammy, we love that you wrote a little but wonderful haiku for this little pianist! Child prodigies always amaze me, and I often wonder what goes through their little heads. Purrs!

    • The little girl looks so tiny in comparison to that beautiful piano – on her booster seat with her booster pedals probably has the audience enthralled with her talent…….while I struggled along with chopsticks! LOL

I wanna know what YOU've got to say!!
