Friendly Fill-Ins

Standard

Happy Friday!    Time for us to plug in the holes in the good ship Friendly Fill-In so it doesn’t sink!  HAHAHA    Our two co-hosts give us four sentences every week with holes and we do the filling in then share on the Hop.   We learn lots of new stuff about each other that way.   Tons of fun.    If you want to join us – you can get the sentences from either of our co-hosts on their blogs, then just finish things off and LINK UP by clicking on the badge above.

Here are this week’s sentences – two from each co-host.   Oh – and this week I let Mom fill in ALL BY  HERSELF!    Her words are in BLUE!

1. I am able to diet, but I won’t. (I “am what I am” at this point in my life at almost 72 – I watch what I eat but don’t particularly care what my weight is as long as I fit in my jeans….hahaha)
2. I won’t ever get cancer again.  (Explanation:  I say this every night before I go to bed…..and pray that it comes TRUE)
3. The current chapter of my life would be titled who knew being older could be so much fun?
4. I’ve been meaning to do Spring cleaning but haven’t yet.  (So, I’m thinking it’s too late for Spring cleaning…..it’s now Summer…..so maybe NEXT YEAR I’ll do Spring cleaning???)

OK Mom thanks for being my “filler-inner”……………..And also thanks to our co-hosts for giving us such great sentences to fill in every week.    Hope everyone has a GREAT FRIDAY and nice weekend too…………..we will be hot and humid outside, but inside is cool and comfy!   Guess which one we choose.

Love, Teddy

    • Cleaning is NOT my favorite thing to do. Today (Friday) is cleaning day in our house – thankfully David helps a lot but what would REALLY help would be a SMALLER HOUSE!!!!! 🙂

    • 1. I am able to get up and be about my day. Fr that I am exceedingly grateful.
      2. I won’t ever not be able to help Katie’s favorite brother during all this. That is my prayer.
      3. The current chapter of my life would be “busy busy busy.”
      4. I’ve been meaning to start another tablecloth to embroider. But Carpal Tunnel hinders that ambition.

      • Oh I have similar problems to you with sewing issues – but in my case it’s just plain old arthritis and also in my case it’s a beautiful quilt that my sister made that needs to be hemmed! I’m only able to do about a foot and a half of stitches at a time. It’s going to take me a while! As for your #3, I’m happy to say I am NOT busy, busy, busy – I have very few of those kind of days. Happy Friday!!

  1. First of all, Teddy, I LOVE that pic of you on the steps! You are one handsome ginger! Also, my mommy loves your Mom’s evening mantra/prayer about her cancer. We’re praying she never has it again, too!

  2. Those are some most excellent Fill-Ins and no more cancer for you my dear friend or anybody else. That is my prayer and hope. I’m not really on a diet but I am trying to eat less… portion control for ME! ShortSandalsNoSocks is safe in Anchorage and sleeping! I don’t like cleaning but it is so much easier in the Tiny Casa. Teddy, you are looking like a very handsome ginger with some awesome stripes in this picture! Good Morning!

    • Glad Mr. ShortSandalsNoSocks made it to Anchorage and is having a blast with his buddy now. I’m sure the smaller the home the faster the dreaded “cleaning” goes! This place is ridiculously big for two peeps and a giant cat. I’m ready for SMALLER. Enjoy your lanai today – how about a fresh strawberry breakfast smoothie???!!!

        • Spritzers are delish too…….lumpy slushie works as well as smoothie. There are some amazing recipes for all of those things – I’m thinking I need to get some fresh fruit at the grocery store this Sunday when I shop. Wish I could join you kiddo!

  3. Thank you to your mom for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I pray she never gets cancer again too. I am glad she is enjoying life now that she is retired. I guess we could do a Fall cleaning instead 🙂 Have a nice weekend! XO
PS: Very cute photo of you Teddy.

    • Fall Cleaning is just as good of a clean-up as a Spring one AND with all the junk in the air in the Spring – pollen and stuff – maybe it’s more SENSIBLE to do a Fall cleaning???? (Yes I’m just making excuses!)
