Friendly Fill-Ins

Standard

Friday!!   Time to fill in the blanks!    It’s a great exercise in “getting to know you” – every Friday we have four sentences with blanks that we fill with our own words – we learn a lot about each other and it’s fun.   Wanna join us?  Click the badge above and link up!

Here are this week’s sentences are below and Mom and I changed up on answering…..Mom’s words are in BLUE and mine are in RED!

1. I like my coffee with cream and sugar.

2. When I was 16, I had to have contact lenses because my Mom wanted me to have them instead of glasses – I HATED THEM and quit wearing them and have worn glasses since!!
3. I spend the most time thinking about getting Mom or Dad to take me OUTSIDE.
4. Meowing loudly at the front door is a risk worth taking.   (someone usually takes me outside when they get tired of me screaming)
There you have it – more exciting information about me and my Mom………………we are so interesting aren’t we?   HAHAHAHA    Hope you all have a fabulous Friday!

Love and Friday Hugs, Teddy

    • AND back then (60s) there were no soft lenses – it was HARD lenses and they were HARD to put in your eyes and HARD to take out. I really did hate them. I remember they were expensive. I also remember there were times when I let my Mom THINK I was wearing them but wasn’t (so of course I wasn’t able to see a danged thing).

  1. Teddy, I swear. That little mouth and pink nosey…that little chin with the velvety smoochable furs…oh. My mom sure wants to hold you. Well, maybe sit down and THEN hold you. XXXOOOXXX

    • My Mom tells me I’m irresistible all the time……I tell her that I can’t help it……..she tries to pick me up and gets a cramp in her back (hahahaha…..23 lbs. is a lot!). Anyway, I’m glad that you see the “CUTE” in my ginger self like Mom does!

  2. Thank you both for these great fill-in answers. My hubby has always insisted on glasses, doesn’t even want to try contacts. You look good in glasses too. Good luck meowing at the door Teddy, I hope that works in this heat 🙂 Have a nice weekend! XO

    • David looks great in glasses – it’s interesting to me that people that wear them just look RIGHT. Without them they are someone else. I’m certainly in that category. Without my glasses I am unrecognizable. Even Teddy looks TWICE at me! HAHAHA

  3. I wore contacts for 20+ years. Then spring 2018 I had a terrible allergy event with my eyes requiring me to use my glasses. Truth be told 4 months later when the allergies were finally clear, I admitted I SEE better with glasses.

    • I’ve just worn them for so long they are a BIG part of “me”……and when I need new ones I can find some very coolish frames, etc. I know contacts are great – everyone says so – but glasses are more “ME” anyway.

  4. Mom has had contacts for over 50 years!!! She hates glasses, but now that her vision calls for bifocal correction, the contacts are more of a problem. And then those darn cataracts may be calling for attention in the next few years.

We have been begging Mom to let us out all day today – we will show you why tomorrow.

    • Good for your Mom!! We aren’t entirely sure what will happen when my Mom has to have cataract surgery – she wears no-line bifocal glasses now. Everyone HAS to have their “eyes” though so whatever happens – happens I guess.

  5. Great fill ins. Teddy, our mom is just the opposite of yours. She hates wearing glasses and wears her contacts all the time.

    • I understand that contacts are SUPER comfy these days so not at all like the hard lenses everyone started out with back in the dark ages. Still, Mom’s worn glasses almost all her life and they are part of her – almost literally! HAHAHA

    • I know they’ve made HUGE advances in contact lenses and they are way more comfy than the old timey ones but still – I much prefer glasses and NOT touching my eyeballs!

    • I do love being outside Miss Sue. The 11 months before I wound up at the shelter and was adopted by Mom and Dad we figure I MUST have been an outside kitty. Of course I’m safer now that I live inside and only go out on a leash but I am an outside guy at heart!

  6. Luckily i only have to wear glasses for driving, everything else i can see just fine. No contacts for me, either.

Remember, when you are screaming at the door, sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and sometimes it gets replaced! (Yes, of course that’s a joke, you are irreplaceable, i just couldn’t resist.)

    • I put my glasses on first thing in the morning and take them off last thing at night so they are “automatic” and part of my FACE practically. My Mom wasn’t happy about the contact lens thing because at the time way back when they were a whole lot more expensive than they are now. Oh well……

  7. Teddy, it is that old “squeaky wheel” saying…someone always gets tired of hearing it, and you get what you want. Mom tried contact lenses when she was in her 30s. They never worked for her either. Besides, she says that glasses are good for hiding the bags under her eyes. Teddy, we love this photo of you. You are such a cutie pie. • My Mom thinks her glasses are a fashion statement (hahaha)…..I don’t know her without glasses actually and like your Mom says, they hide her crummy eyebrows and dark circles! Tee Hee

      Glad you like my photo…….Hugs!
