Tuesday Teaser

Greetings Students!   Have you COMMENTED yet?

We Professors hope that yesterday’s field trip might have cleared the cobwebs out of your heads from the lack of a RIGHT GUESSER last week so that you will be READY TO ROCK today’s Teaser.

Rock? Groovy!

So put your thinking caps on and let’s get to it!

Our Teaser photo today is from our ever hard-working Graphics Department and is NOT a Guest Teaser (yes I hear you sighing in the back row).    Just because last week’s was thanks to our Graphics Department and was impossible doesn’t mean this week’s will be – STAY POSITIVE STUDENTS!

Gosh…..I’m not sure if I’m excited or depressed.

Here are your rules one last time and the badges for today:

I’m feelin’ lucky today!

Good – let’s hope that feeling sticks with you as you see today’s photo.    Before we show it to you, how about a little CHEER from the CHEERFUL TEAM??!!

Oh my goodness I guess it’s true
It’s TEASER TIME for all of you
Are you feeling lucky, are you in a good mood?

Sunday Selfie Hop

Hello and Happy Sunday!   It’s that time of the week when we all strut our stuff by joining in our friends the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for selfies.    If you’d like to do that with us – welcome aboard – just click the badge above and link up.

My habit has been to do a FLASHBACK selfie – the photo I took either last year or year before last at this same time.    It’s just fun to see ME then.   I’m sure I won’t be growing any more than I have but I’m a big boy at 22/23 pounds yet a year ago and especially two years ago when I came to live here I did NOT weigh that much.    I’ve changed but then who doesn’t ??!!!

Here’s my flashback for today:

From April 24, 2018

So what’s this all about?   Well, this is the guest bathroom sink and it’s before I became really BONDED with the master bath sink as my “preferred watering hole”.    Pardon my rear end but Mom took this and of course she thought it was an interesting view.   I don’t lie down to drink anymore – I think I probably was just resting a bit after drinking water OR I was waiting for someone (MOM) to turn the water ON and fill the sink.    Either way, I am still a sink-drinker.    Won’t drink water from a bowl or fountain – only a sink.

Mom decided to jazz up this rather boring photo though with some Lunapic effects……………’s what she came up with followed by a puzzle for you puzzlers!!

Mom used 100% “SPLASH” art effect at Lunapic………………bright isn’t it – got your sunglasses on????   Good!

And puzzle fans – here’s your puzzle.     HAPPY SUNDAY………………………

Bakin’ with Bacon and King Teddy

Greetings Bacon Fans!   Your King awaits you in the castle kitchen!

I’ve got an incredible and imminently edible bacon omelette recipe for you but it’s NOT just bacon – there are so many good things in this you won’t be able to resist trying it.    Honest!

We can all make a “regular” bacon omelette but when you get creative and add bunches of interesting OTHER things in addition to bacon you wind up with an EXPERIENCE – not just an OMLETTE.   Why this is called a RIVER OMELETTE I’m not sure but who cares.   It’s really good!

Ten Eggs (important ingredient in an omelette!)

  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 dashes hot pepper sauce, or to taste
  • 1/2 pound bacon – cooked, and chopped into bite-size pieces

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat an 8 inch square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine eggs and milk. With an electric mixer, beat until frothy. Blend in salt and hot pepper sauce. Stir in bacon, olives, tomatoes, green onions, mushrooms and cheese. Pour into prepared pan, and cover with lid or aluminum foil.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until eggs are set in the center.

See?  Not that complicated – oh and if you want more spice – add more hot sauce………….yep that’s what I said – in fact, you know this recipe isn’t different from most of the ones I pass on to you in that you can and should adjust it to your own taste.   Some people don’t want olive in it – don’t put them in………some prefer cheddar so use it instead of Colby-Monterey jack……just go for it – after all, we fans of bacon know THAT’s the most important ingredient anyway!

Now – maybe you should give this a whirl for tomorrow’s Sunday breakfast?   If you want to try it – you’d better go to the grocery NOW and get those ingredients!

You better believe it baby!

Your Bacon King and Chef

Friendly Friday Fill-In Fun

Friday!   Time for fill-in fun with our co-hosts 15andMeowing and Four-Legged Furballs.     Two sentences with “holes” in them for us to fill from each of our co-hosts makes for a whole lot of Friday fun.  If you’d like to play along, click the badge above and go to 15andMeowing to sign/link up!

Obviously this week I had to allow – oops – I mean ASK my Mom to be the fill-in expert because they weren’t really “kitty questions” for the most part.    Besides, she needs a break from the usual blog stuff she does for me sometimes right?   Right!     Mom’s fill-in words are in BLUE!

1. I got my first cell phone in who knows what year – it was a long time ago and I’ve never upgraded to something other than a good old flip-phone that I don’t use for anything but calling AAA or David – no texting, no photos, etc. – that shows you how OLD I am right?????
2. I wish the word HOMELESS could be removed from the English language. (If that word COULD be removed it would just mean that NOBODY – human or animal – would not have a HOME so HOMELESS would be an unnecessary word)
3. I’ll never outgrow my sense of humor or my love of life.

4. Just about everything make(s) me feel old.
Thanks Mom – you always say “you’re as old as you feel”…………….I know you have good days and bad days and I think all of us human or animal do……but every day I have with you and Dad is a GOOD DAY and I hope the three of us are together for a very long time.
Hope everybody has a super duper Friday AND weekend……………!!

Didn’t you see the DO NOT DISTURB sign Mom??????

Love, Teddy
