Sunday Selfie Hop

Time to HOP!    Sunday is Selfie Hop day with Kitties Blue.   You ought to join us – if you want to, click their badge above and go for it.    We’ll see you there.

Mom realized yesterday when she grabbed her camera to take a couple of photos of me that almost ALL MY PHOTOS are the same.    I’m either in the Granny Chair in the guest room, or on the floor with my belly up, or SOUND ASLEEP and she’s right!    Of course the fact that I won’t sit still (usually) long enough for her to take my photo MIGHT be part of the reason…….but then there’s the fact that I do sleep a lot to be considered.

Here’s the photo she took of me yesterday – technically it’s not a selfie because I didn’t take it MYSELF but I’ve delegated the responsibility to my Mom so that counts!

See what I mean though?   I must have shared a bazillion photos that look just like this with you……………From this chair I can see across the upstairs hall to Mom’s office where I can keep an eagle eye on her while she’s at her computer………..however, obviously right now my eagle eye (and the other one too) are CLOSED TIGHT while I sleep.

I know I’ve probably told you why we call that chair I’m in “THE GRANNY CHAIR” but I’ll tell you again anyway.   The chair itself belonged to my Dad’s Mom and when she went to the Bridge Dad got it.    The quilt on the back of the chair belonged to my Mom’s Mom and it was a wedding gift to her when she married my Mom’s Dad in 1947.    Perfectly good name for that chair would be THE GRANNY CHAIR right?

Happy Sunday!!!

P.S.   Did you think I forgot to do a puzzle for you puzzlers?   No I didn’t – I was saving it for last…..AND I’m not telling you who or what the puzzle is of.   You’ll just have to GO FOR IT!    Ready?   Set?   Go!

  1. That is a sweet photo of you, Teddy.
The puzzle, Angel Sammy! I would recognise those thumbs anywhere. I will do the puzzle this evening.

      • We never stop missing them. Spring should be a happy time, but with Eric leaving in March, their birthday in April, and then Flynn leaving on the 1st of May, and also my mum and dad dying in April, it is not a happy time for me. I wish I could hibernate for those 6 weeks.

        • That’s a lot of things to happen in a short space of time……no wonder you’d like to hibernate for those six weeks. For you Spring probably feels less like a renewal than a revisiting of sadness. My Mom and Dad experienced losses all different times of the year so in between those remembrances are happy times. It makes the “not happy” times bearable. I know you all feel that too. Always in our hearts.

          Love, Teddy

  2. You are such a cutie Teddy. I think Granny chair is the perfect name for it, how special to have these heirlooms. Have a nice day! XO

    • It is a comfy chair…….and the fact I’m starting to somewhat “hang over” due to my size doesn’t matter a bit – we kitties can fit ourselves into a tiny box so I’m CERTAINLY able to make this chair “fit” all of me!

      Hugs, Teddy

  3. The Grannie chair looks like the purrfect spot for napping, Teddy. We don’t blame you for hanging out there all the time.

    • Mom seems to have figured out that just about the only time I am STILL is when I’m asleep so that’s when she takes photos of me. Maybe once I’m outside more this Spring she can get some of me in ACTION instead of snoring!

      Hugs, Teddy

  4. Teddy, it may not be your eagle eye, but we see the glint of one half-open eye in that photo. Most of the photos of Cooper Murphy are just like yours. It’s a gingersnap thing. Sending lots of love to all and a kiss for your belly from our mom. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

    • Mom thinks maybe there was some kind of spot on the camera lens so don’t tell her I was peeking OK? Our little secret! Coop and I know that airing out the belly is an impawtant thing to do. Keeps them extra fluffy!

      Hugs, Teddy
