Friendly Fill-Ins on Friday

Standard

Friday is here which means – yep – it’s time to FILL-IN!    Our co-hosts, 15andMeowing and Four-Legged Furballs host this SUPER FUN Hop every week. How does it work?  Each of our co-hosts give us two sentences – and we fill in the blanks.  Easy right?    Wanna join in?    Click the badge above and link up.

Here are this week’s sentences with blanks and I’m letting my Mom fill everything in this week – isn’t that nice of me?   Yeah I thought so too!!!!!

Take it away Mom!   (in RED)

1. I admire ANYONE who fosters or volunteers for shelters.

2. I can’t wait for anything to bloom.   (Note: I am so tired of drab days, rain, snow, and bare trees……I’m READY for anything to bloom because it will feel like things are “renewing” again!)

3. I’m proud to say I’m a published author and when I used to paint, I sold a lot of my work; I feel like I was able to use the talents God blessed me with in some small way.
4. Public speaking make(s) me nervous.
Thanks Mom……..good job.    Maybe I’ll let you do it again next week……………..now don’t get too excited – – – I said MAYBE!    Tee Hee

Yesterday it rained ALL DAY…..which made it a great day for……..

…….ZZZZZZZZZ……

    • I’ve known so many people who are so very talented who don’t realize how talented they are. They were either not encouraged as kids, tried something and failed and didn’t get back up and try again, or took on more than could reasonably be accomplished. I wasn’t really encouraged as a kid but I set my own goals and met most of them in my own time. I’m full of philosophy today aren’t I ????!!!! HAHAHAHA

  1. One day I will marry a rich man who is never home but can fund my house, wifi, food and cats and then I can cross stitch and use my skills to make people happy instead of having to work 9-5

    • Yep – that’s how I felt when I was your age…..instead of that I married a man who is always home (retired like me), loves me and takes care of me, and while we aren’t rich, we have what we need and plenty of food and a big adorable cat. It’s just about perfect. I think back over the years and realize my “wishes” have changed through the years. Now I just want to have peace.

  2. Teddy, your mom is someone I understand I think, and admire. Seriously.

    1. I admire volunteers everywhere and shelters and rescue especially.
    2. I also cannot wait for sun, flowers, the lift of spirits that come with those two things.
    3. I’m proud to say I am still tickin’ though I have sure have taken a lickin’. But I powered thru that with self imposed physical rehab,
    4. Public speaking is no fun but I can do it. I got used to it and could probably do it again.

    • BRAVO FOR YOU MISS CAROLE! My Mom says you’re sweet to admire her but she said to tell you “while it’s not over ’til it’s over, I really did WASTE a lot of years…….but I’m trying to find lessons in that as well – and I feel
content with my life”……..I suppose that’s something humans all want?? All I want is hugs and treats and walks outside. I think MY “wants” are going to be easier to get than Mom’s “wants”.

  3. We have rain like that today. I love the photo of you snoozing Teddy. Thank you to your Mom for these great fill-in answers. She should be proud to be published. I have read all her works and she is an amazing writer. I know she is a talented painter too. I agree it is good to use God given gifts to brighten the world. I admire anyone who fosters too. If I did, it would be a fail first try. Have a nice weekend! XO

    • I am SURE that my Mom would never be able to let her fosters go – she would fall in love with each and every one of them. You are a VERY talented person too dear Ellen – crocheting, writing, every kind of craft in the world, you can make ANYTHING and that’s amazing. Hope you all have a great weekend too……………….

    • IT’s a gift! I even took Public Speaking in high school and HATED IT – every minute of it – and whenever I did a book signing I HATED IT…..every minute of it…..so I definitely would make a lousy politician because they LOVE to talk and hear themselves talk. 🙂

    • We have sun today but ridiculous wind – like 40mph gusts. I tell myself that’s good – it will bring forth the buds (not you Buddy Budd – those plant buds) but still, when I go outside it messes up my “furs” and I’m not happy about that.

    • We had a terrible storm come through yesterday early evening – 60mph wind and hail – fortunately the hail missed us by about a mile (too close for comfort!). Things need to settle down so we can enjoy some SPRING! My Mom says thanks for the compliment – she looks back and wonders HOW she ever did the writing and painting!

    • HAHAHA….Well, she doesn’t want you to get sick from having a bite of something that looks pretty but doesn’t “sit well” with your tummy – and bees hang out in flowers too and that would HURT…….AND they are too pretty to trample on too. Guess it’s one of those things we should look at from afar right Cupcake???

    • Being on stage was just not “in the cards” for me……I really just can’t relax. When I’ve HAD to give a talk at a book signing it’s only in the last few minutes when I know I’m almost done that I can relax and stop shaking. LOL

  4. Teddy, you truly are such a sweet boy to let your mom fill-in the fill-ins! She always does a wonderful job. I also very much admire those who foster furbabies and who volunteer for shelters and rescues. I try to help rescues as much as possible, but at present, I don’t know if I’d be a good match for fostering, because I’m thinking I’d have a 100% foster fail rate. I think it’s absolutely amazing and admirable that you are a published author, and that you’ve sold your paintings. I am working toward publishing, and I know it takes a lot of hard work, so I have a lot of respect for those, like you, who accomplish it. Purrs!

    • You will be a HUGE success as a published author. Your stories are magical, your illustrations equally so – and there’s no doubt in my mind you will have lots of interest from publishers when you’re ready! Glad you liked the fill-ins…..I’m glad you and Ellen continue to do the Hop – it’s always fun!

  5. Teddy, every day is good for what you are doing. When Mom was younger public speaking scared her to death…now she’s a natural! Mom has read your mom’s book, and she sure wishes your mom would share some of her art on the blog. Mom really wishes she could foster kitties or even puppies, but we say NO! XOCK, Kitties Blue

    • My Mom says if she tried fostering she’d fall in love with every kitty she had and soon we’d be overrun with foster fails! My Mom has shared her artwork before – and we don’t want to bore everyone with the “same old same old” – she just doesn’t paint any longer but enjoyed it “once upon a time”!
