Happy Sunday! It’s December 2 – we’re starting our official countdown to Christmas at my house now. Mom and Dad decorated yesterday and my Selfie today has a Christmas-ey border so I’m ready. While Mom and Dad worked hard on putting up our tree and stockings and stuff, I did a lot of napping. I have a new “thing” that I do with my Mom now – if she’s on the computer which is in a room that’s across from our guest room, I will go in and MEOW at her and ask her to follow me into the guest room………..when I get there I hop up on the guest bed and paw at the pillows – that means “please pull the covers down for me Mom”………..she does and I MOVE IN FOR A SNOOZE! That’s what my selfie photo is today………

Before we go, we want to say that today it’s two years since Angel Sammy became an Angel. I didn’t know him, but even so, we miss him every second of every hour of every day of every month and will do so – forever. He was special and I just wish I’d known him in person. He was one of a kind…..

Aww, that sure is the perfect set up. I do not like the artificial duvet we have, so I get Mrs H to fold that back so I can lay on the cotton cover of the wool duvet beneath. We have two as the palace gets cold and Mrs H is old and, well, you know, MOL

My Mom sleeps in the Guest Room often (when Dad’s snoring gets too much) and at the foot of the bed just a bit down from where I’m laying is a folded up red velvety blanket. She gets cold in there too and will pull that up to keep warm. We’ve got to take care of our humans don’t we !!

She plans to finish up – bought the wreaths for the garage windows and that was the last thing she needed to get. We really don’t go NUTSO with decorating but I think she COULD do that if Dad would cooperate!!!! How about some photos of Casa Klingensmith??? You’re WAY AHEAD of us!

Hi Teddy! It doesn’t seem possible that it is 2 years since Sammy became an angel. But when I stop to think, it will be 6 years in March next year for Eric, and 2 for Flynn in May. I really don’t know where the time goes. Give your mum and dad an extra cuddle. Anniversaries are always the worst.
You have your mom well trained, which is just the way it should be. I am off to do the puzzle now.

Miss Jackie, Mom says she can’t believe it’s been SIX YEARS for Eric and TWO for Flynn……time is an amazing thing isn’t it?! Mom says I will learn things like that as I get bigger. I’ll turn THREE in March – is that “BIGGER” ?? I want to be smart like Sammy was.

We know. In a couple of weeks it will be four years for Kyla. Her gotcha day was in December and she left us 12 Decembers later.

You look so comfy and festive. 🎄You should be spoiled. It’s what cat lovers do. We barely got to know Sammy but we fell in love with him. 😻 The greatest tribute to a deceased pet is to adopt another one. You were the purrfect choice Teddy. Charlie and Millie, my two kittens read your blog and learn lots. But because of them we won’t have the Christmas tree 🎄 as long. 😻

Mom says there was a lot of loss that Christmas season in 2016…….we feel sad about that for EVERYONE who had a loss that year and ANY year. It’s always a heartache.

Oh BellaDharma we are all related in cathood…..we all are lions on the inside and furry lovable “eternal kids” on the outside….I really did get lucky when I was adopted because my Mom and Dad are not only very trainable, they love me to BITS!

I must say, I am a sleep on the cover’s kind of cat. I don’t often crawl under the covers (I am more likely to go Under the Bed) Mom has a box of clothes under there that I knock the lid off of and I LOVE to crawl in there to sleep.

Hi Marv! Thanks for your Mom’s thoughts on Sammy – he loved Queen Penelope a lot – well he loved everyone but some SPECIAL loves and she was one (still is!). I don’t like covers on me AT ALL – too heavy and hot but I do quite like the puffy covers and how they feel when Mom turns the sheets/duvet back for me to lie on!

Wow, Teddy, you do have your mom wrapped around your paw. We remember how Sammy used to get her to make tents for him. We think he’s whispering to you in your dreams about how to get everything you want and, of course, deserve. We will always miss Sammy, (Mau’s best friend and best man). Cooper Murphy is delighted to now have you as his best friend…a tradition it would seem. We’ll always remember Sammy with love in our hearts. Thanks for hopping with us, just as he did.
