Friendly Fill-Ins on Friday!

Standard

It’s Friday and time for us to fill-in some blanks!    The sentences are given to us every week by our co-hosts, Four-Legged Furballs and 15andMeowing.   If you click the badge above, you will go to 15andMeowing and you can join in the hop if you’d like to.   Each of our co-hosts provides two sentences and they are ALWAYS fun to fill-in!

This week Mom and I BOTH filled in – her fill-ins are in GREEN and mine are in RED!

1. I refuse to shop in a Mall – I prefer going into little shops to do my shopping – I know a Mall is MUCH more convenient but I really enjoy my “small town” shopping a LOT more!.
2. A store I wouldn’t mind being trapped in overnight is a bedding store – just think of all those comfy spots to snooze in!!!!

3. I’m dreaming of turkey and “fixins” again for Christmas dinner – yes I know we just did that for Thanksgiving but I go through it ALL again for Christmas.

4. I wouldn’t touch getting in a pet carrier with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole.  (I like being on my harness and leash WAY better if I have to go somewhere!)

There you have it.   Mom and I both filling in on a Friday.    I know this weekend we will be busy around my house.   Mom says it’s time to “Christmasize” the house and front porch.   I like having a Christmas tree and my stocking will be on the mantle along with Mom and Dad’s.    Santa Paws will visit me this year – it will only be my SECOND Christmas here in my forever home.   LUCKY ME!

Thankful and Thoroughly Poetic Thursday

Standard

Hi everybody.  Yep – it’s Thursday again – the double post day for us but it always starts with being THANKFUL.    Brian hosts this Hop every week and you can be part of the thankful brigade if you want to – click his badge and go to his blog to see all the other Hoppers and sign up on the LINKY form to join us!    You know it’s not just one day a week that we’re thankful – it’s every day of every week because we all have many things that we should be thankful for.   Some of them we kind of take for granted – they are for us “normal” things in our lives, but if you think about it, sometimes those things we consider normal are exceptional for many who aren’t as lucky.   Our warm homes are always here for US but how about all those animals and humans who don’t HAVE a home?   See?   We really do have a lot to be thankful for and that’s just ONE THING.

I always am thankful that my Angel brother Sammy visits us all every week too.    He sends us a poem every week based on the photo he gives us the week before.   He finds time in his busy schedule as an Angel at the Rainbow Bridge to send off an email to me enclosing his poem and a new photo for us to use for next week.   GOSH – you all can’t imagine how THANKFUL I am to still have him in my life.

♥♥♥

GREETINGS FROM THE BRIDGE!

Another poetry sharing day comes around – time passes very quickly doesn’t it.    It does for us at the Bridge too although “time” is a little different there…………..it’s hard to explain – you will find out one day in the distant (I hope!) future when you become an Angel yourself.    I do seem to find time to write a poem every week though and I’m always excited to read YOURS so I hope you’ve written one!    If you have, you can share it with us by telling us in our comments that you wrote one and give us your blog link OR you can write your poem in our comments – either way, we’ll get to see what your creative self can come up with based on the photo I give you.

Here’s the photo that I gave you last week to use as inspiration for your poetry today!

“Taxi!!”

Poem by Angel Sammy Kimmell     Nov. 28, 2018

New York City is a crazy place

On the roads it’s like a stock car race!

Downtown traffic is slow as molasses

Some folks never took driving classes!

Brakes screech loudly and horns are blaring

Lots of yelling and people swearing…….

Those yellow taxis are everywhere

Taking people here or bringing them back from there

People wave at them wildly from sidewalk and street

Getting one to stop for you is quite a feat!

Down at street level it’s almost a riot

But for Angels like me, up above it’s so quiet !

Tee Hee!  I had to make this one a little silly but actually it’s also serious.    Mom and Dad have been to NYC a couple of times and the first time they were there they had the wildest taxi ride EVER.   Yes the taxi got them from point A to point B but Mom said she had never seen anyone drive like the taxi driver did – and he knew a lot of shortcuts and sneaky side streets that were definitely off the beaten path.   Mom held her breath for much of that trip downtown but after it was over, she and Dad had a good old laugh because they’d HEARD about taxi drivers downtown in NYC but never dreamed those stories were TRUE!

Anyway, we have no traffic at the Rainbow Bridge thank heavens.   Just peace and quiet.

Now, would you like to see the photo I found for all of us to use for next week’s poetry fun???

What an interesting photo this is.    I took a few minutes when I found it to really LOOK at it closely.    There’s a lot to see……………….note the bottle on the shoreline?   Makes you wonder what’s really going on here.    Whatever it is, it makes for some real interesting ideas about a poem doesn’t it?    We’ll find out next week how well this photo “spoke to you” as you write a poem.

In the meantime, have fun getting ready for Christmas if you celebrate it……………holiday season you see a lot more SMILES on faces………..I used to love “helping” Mom do the decorating in our house and now Teddy has that duty.    I loved lying under the tree and the train Dad set up under there was for me quite fascinating to watch.    Most of all it just felt MAGICAL to be under the tree on a soft cloth with lights above me and presents around me.    Mom says I was her most FAVORITE present every year under the tree!

SEE YOU ALL NEXT THURSDAY FOR MORE POETRY……………………….

I am the Angel Poet in the green beret…..and I hope you join me for POETIC FUN each week!

Holiday Hugs, Angel Sammy

♥♥♥

That was a great poem Angel Sammy and I sure like that photo for next week………………gonna be fun to see what you come up with.    Mom, Dad and I send you big hugs…….we know that on December 2, it will be two years since you left to become a ginger angel…………..we miss you.

Love, Teddy

Teaser Class Tell All

Standard

The weather outside is frightful but inside the school it’s delightful!

Hello Students —————– come on in, have a seat at your desks, and we will begin class.   Today we let you know who gets what badges for yesterday’s TEASER fun.

The first thing we’ll do is let you know that AGAIN this week we only had ONE student who got here in the first minute to comment – so this week our FIRST COMMENTER IS:

DRUMROLL PLEASE!

Da Phenny and Da Nellie and Da Mama!

WOO HOO FOR YOU………here’s your badge:

We were the FIRST COMMENTERS on the Teaser post of November 27, 2018 and won this fabulous badge!

The Teaser was a GUEST TEASER and we kind of thought that it MIGHT be an easy one to guess but we were standing by to watch as students raised their hands and made their guesses just to see how things went!     Here’s the photo from yesterday:

Thanks to our GUEST TEASER Mr. Tom Blue from KITTIES BLUE’S blog “THE CAT ON MY HEAD“………….he’s the Cat Daddy of all the Kitties Blue and a wonderful photographer too who has been almost EVERYWHERE you can imagine.    This beautiful photo is Juliet’s Balcony in Verona, Italy.    A BUNCH of you guessed it quickly………..but only ONE of you was FIRST RIGHT GUESSER.    We’ll let you know WHO after we thank Mr. Tom properly with this badge!

My fabulous photo was featured on the Tuesday Teaser of November 27, 2018!

Who was the FIRST to guess the location where the photo was taken????

DRUMROLL PLEASE!

Miss Csilla of Kolytyi !!!

WHOOP WHOOP WHOOOP!

I’m HAPPY for you Miss Csilla!

I’m happy too – that’s why I’m slobbering all over myself!

Here’s your FIRST RIGHT GUESSER badge Miss Csilla:

WOO HOO FOR ME! I was the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER on the Teaser of Nov. 27, 2018. I am a “master detective” !

Congratulations Miss Csilla!!   While you were FIRST to guess correctly, we had a WHOLE BUNCH of others who knew it was Juliet’s Balcony in Verona, Italy and each of you who DID guess that get a “RIGHT GUESSER BUT NOT FIRST” badge of your very own.    (just copy it for yourself)

I knew the Teaser photo but I wasn’t the FIRST to guess right….but I WAS right so I get this cool badge!! YAY FOR ME!

Well you all were RIGHT – just too SLOW to be FIRST!!!! Concatulations!

If you tried to guess it – made a guess but it turned out to be wrong…….you STILL win a badge because after all – YOU DID TRY!    So here’s what you get for the effort!

Darn! I guessed but was WRONG on the Teaser of Nov. 27, 2018. At least I TRIED!!!

Well at least you all got a badge……I was clueless and didn’t even TRY! No wonder I’m a DUNCE!

I am going to study DOUBLE HARD this coming week so I can win a badge……(sniff)

Cheer Team – you’re on…………………cheer up the losers and cheer on the winners will you???????

Congratulations to those who could follow the clues!
Boo Hoo for the losers who have the blues…..
Now for the awards and we know you’ve been waiting
We’ll tell you now with no hesitating!
Da Phenny and family COMMENTED FIRST
They beat out the rest of you who were obviously cursed!
Our FIRST RIGHT GUESSER was Miss Csilla the smarty
We think that she deserves a big party!
Everyone though deserves some cheers
Maybe we should all go out and have some beers????????

No ladies…..no beer drinking while on duty!

But what we do AFTER school is “ANYTHING GOES” !!!

We’re officially counting down to Christmas now and just in case you weren’t AWARE of it, Christmas Day falls on a TUESDAY this year…………which would normally be a TEASER day.     We will STILL have a Teaser Class that day but we know that most of you will have other things on your mind than Teasers – like seeing what Santa Paws has brought to you or having a fabulous Christmas Day meal………….but we’ll still have class for those of you who aren’t celebrating Christmas or who wouldn’t miss a TEASER no matter WHAT!

GOOD because my Cheer Team and I will have special costumes that day!!

Totally GROOVY……

Now who’s ready to head to the cafeteria for lunch?   Our Cafeteria Supervisor Miss Dingleberry says they have a yummy lunch on the line today for everyone.     I know we Professors are ready to eat – conducting class takes ENERGY!   Remember after lunch today you all get a HALF DAY OFF!    How cool is that?    We’ll see you NEXT Monday though for PRE-TEASER MONDAY.

Alright students……now remember – no poking, tripping, cutting in line, yelling, shoving, pushing, spitting, and holding up the line!   Get your tray, sit down at a table and eat like a human being and not an animal (unless of course you ARE an animal in which case don’t push your food out of your dish with your nose!).     Enjoy your lunch.

PAGING SECURITY GUARD TO GEOGRAPHY CLASS – STAT!

Hello Professors and Class – here’s your challenge for today!

Where was this photo taken?    What town/city/village in which country or state?   Good luck!!     Here’s the cheer team to make sure you’re fired up!

You’ve seen the photo so now you can guess
C’mon and be brave – don’t be a “hot mess” !
You know your geography we’re sure you do
So come on and impress us we’ll be proud of you!
Tomorrow we’ll find out if you win or lose….
You’ll either be HAPPY or singing the blues!!!!

Thanks Cheer Team………..I’m sure you have everyone FIRED UP now!

Wherever this is, it’s a pretty place – I wanna live there!

Alright already….I am trying for a badge this week PERIOD!

Take it easy now………..this is FUN stuff right?   No sense getting all crazy about it.   Just do your best.   That’s all we ask.    Now if you prefer to EAT before guessing, then lunch is ready now – if you want to stay in class and work on figuring out the photo you can do that too – then come to the cafeteria for lunch.   Either way – we will see you back in class tomorrow morning when we find out who wins what!!!

Hello Students…….we have a nice lunch for you today…….it will help you concentrate on the Teaser photo so you might win a badge from the Professors!!!!!

Pre-Teaser Monday Class

Standard

Greetings Students!    It’s Post-Turkey, Pre-Santa Now at School!

That’s right – just when you were getting sick of seeing us with turkeys on our heads, now you will begin to get sick of our Santa hats BUT after all, we are in our wonderful new Sheep School for the very first Christmas so we must decorate and be festive right?

It’s Monday and time for us to prime you for tomorrow’s guessing activity.   Just be patient, listen to the rules and your Professors’ guidance and you will be just fine tomorrow!   Who knows, if you are extra good boys and girls maybe Santa will stop by the classroom for Christmas.   Wouldn’t that be amazing?

REALLY????????????????

Oh boy!!!! Santa Paws? Here????

Let’s talk TEASER now………….first – the rules for tomorrow’s guessing:

Very important to stick to the rules.   Makes it fair for everyone if you do.    The photo for tomorrow is a GUEST TEASER photo too.    Sometimes they are harder than the ones our Graphics Department finds for us to use.    You’d better study tonight to be sure………get familiar with topography, architecture prevalent in different countries or regions of the USA, and then be sure to get a good night’s sleep.

WAIT – we didn’t say sleep NOW – we said sleep TONIGHT!

REMEMBER THAT THE TEASER POST WILL GO LIVE AT A SURPRISE TIME TOMORROW – NOT THE REGULAR BLOG POST TIME!    Then it’s a surprise!    What’s the big deal about being here when we go live?    Well, we have a special badge for the FIRST COMMENTER on the blog tomorrow.   We WILL be having some special badges for Christmas but in the meantime, we’ll go back to our “standard badges”………….

I’ve heard that our Cheer Team is having some special cheer uniforms made for Christmas but in the meantime, we will be seeing them out of their turkey costumes and in their USUAL cheer outfits!!   They want to get you pumped up for tomorrow………….

No more turkey costumes for us
We conveniently left them on the bus (!).
We looked so silly we must say
But we’re back to adorable as of today!
We suggest you study hard tonight
You want to be rested and feel just right
We’ll be back tomorrow to cheer you on!
Assuming we can wake up before the break of dawn!

Well girls, we haven’t told ANYONE what time the Teaser will go live tomorrow so for all you know it will be NOON!    HAHAHA

Totally GROOVY. Noon is good for me……

Now that we have all of you prepped for tomorrow, would you like to follow us over to the cafeteria for some lunch?   I’m sure everyone is full of turkey and trimmings from Thanksgiving OR if you didn’t have your Thanksgiving like we did here at school, I bet you still had a weekend full of HOME COOKIN – now you’ll get some “Dingleberry Cookin’ ” !!!

Alright everyone……I’m sure you’re up to your eyeballs in turkey leftovers at home so we’ll have OTHER things for you on the cafeteria line today.   Please conduct youselves like little ladies and gentlemen and no poking, prodding, pinching, or butting in line!
