Hello Students!   Come in and take a seat….

It’s time for us to spill the beans about yesterday’s Teaser photo…….are you ready?

Alright then let’s go…………………..first of all I will let you know who our FIVE (yes I said FIVE) First Commenters yesterday were!    Now we know that’s a “bumper crop” of Firsties but we are confident (mostly) that the Cheer Team will take that in their stride when it comes to doing their cheer later………..it’s a big load of names for sure!    The winners of the new FIRST COMMENTER badge are:

I WANTED to get up early but MOM made me sleep in!!!

Now here’s the photo we used yesterday – it was one of my Mom’s………………..

This is the beautiful “Luray Singing Tower” – a carillion tower with 47 bells that was built in the town of Luray, Virginia by the Luray Caverns, in 1937.    Here’s a link to more information if you’d like to learn something about it.   Mom and Dad have heard the bells and they are BEAUTIFUL!!!!    CLICK HERE

Then of course we have a new Greenie for those of you who guessed but guessed incorrectly………………

Our Art Department at Ding Dong Sheep School hopes you like the new badges……………….they worked hard to have them ready for this week!!

Big Cheer for All our Winners This Week?

YAY DING DONG SCHOOL!!!!!

Gosh, I didn’t realize we had so many people in our audience today…………………..(cough cough).

Well time to have our Cheer Team come in and cheer their little socks off for all of our winners today………………..we had a bunch of them and I hope they got a good soak in the hot tub before they came – they will be in a good mood!

First Commenters were FIVE and that’s a lot
Their names will take up all the time we’ve got!
Phenny and Friends Forever were two of the FIVE
Two Devon Cats, Cat on my Head, and Csilla TOO and that’s no jive!
A few minutes later we had a RIGHT GUESS
It was Two Devon Cats again – Miss Jackie was the BEST!
We’d love to stay longer and cheer some more
But we’re exhausted from this cheer so we’ll leave the floor
On to the hot tub where we need a good soak
This cheer wore us out and THAT’s no joke!!

OK Team – we know it was a challenge with five First Commenters……………sorry about that but you did a good job.   Now go get your soakie time!!   I see Sarge is already enjoying his time off today:

    • I was going to google bell towers but didn’t even know which country to start in, probably France and Italy. When I saw Dianna’s comment after mine saying it looked familiar I wondered if she had sent the photo in. I went to her blog to see if it said where she lived which it did, so then I knew which area to start in. Et voila! My first search brought up 3 bell towers and one was obviously the right one.
      I was then surprised this morning to see it was your photo and not Dianna’s.

      • HAHAHA…………I think almost everyone who lives in Virginia has been to the beautiful Luray Caverns and seen the tower…….the Caverns are spectacular but that tower has such BEAUTIFUL music from the bells too. You are smart to figure out how to follow the trail after Dianna’s “looks familiar” comment and you got TWO BADGES today which is GREAT!

    • Yes it is…………and your mention of it looking familiar yesterday led Jackie to check out your blog to see where you lived – and that led to googling bell towers in Virginia – and that led to her being FIRST RIGHT GUESSER!!!!

  12. Carillons and bell towers are such pretty things. I am glad they are still around and that they even have professional players! There is a set of bells where my parents lived, and there is a famous bell tower in Parliament in Ottawa, Ontario. And at the U ofM and MSU here in our hoe state of MI. I have heard them all..and more as well:)
    Love them so much…and my mom told me it always reminded her of her homeland, where the bells summoned peeps to church, and for other things, too. Including the time of day!

    • We sure handed out a barrel full of new badges this week didn’t we? Mom can remember when she lived in Weisbaden as a little girl there were church bells close by – some things you just never forget hearing no matter your age!

  13. Congratulations everyone! For once I wasn’t too late. At least it was morning. But I had good reason to be late. I was a babysitting great grandma and that’s always super fun. I love the new badges.

  17. Mom actually thought it was a place here in Florida that she and Dad went to a couple of years ago. We’re excited to be part of the five firsties!!! ConCats to everyone!!

    • Oh that sounds delicious – Mom says she wishes she’d thought to prepare for THAT to be dinner tonight instead of spaghetti but then spaghetti (with Italian sausage and mushroom tomato sauce) sounds pretty yum too!

  22. We are so excited to have a First Commenrer badge, but our mom is so lame-o. She should have gotten the Teaser after being in Luray just a couple of years ago. Maybe we’ll do better next week.     • Funny because several people who have been there MANY TIMES didn’t recognize it. The Tower is there – and we see it of course but most of us are there for the caverns and we forget that tower is gorgeous and beautiful on its’ own.
