Bakin’ with Bacon In Baconia

Greetings Baconian Citizens….welcome to the King’s Kitchen!!

Yes this is where I “hold court” on Saturdays – I toss out the usual Castle Chef and take over so I can create something SPECIAL for those of you who enjoy a quickie baconized recipe direct from the royal kitchen chamber.   Monsieur Le Oink – our usual Chef de Maison – does not mind if I scoot him out of his kitchen one day a week because I create masterpieces he can prepare for Castle guests and take all the credit for coming up with the recipes!

Ah My King! I shall prepare this for you and your Royal guests at your next Castle Breakfast Buffet!

Today I have a REALLY easy recipe for you and while at first glance you might think this sounds NOT SO GREAT it really is – just think of what’s in it – a great combination of stuff.    You’ve just GOT TO try this.

Banana-Peanut Butter-Bacon Smoothies

1 container (6 oz) Yoplait Original French vanilla yogurt (doesn’t HAVE to be Yoplait but it’s awfully good!)

1 banana, sliced

3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup ice cubes
2 slices crisp cooked bacon

  • 1  Place all ingredients except bacon in blender. Cover; blend on high speed about 30 seconds or until smooth.
  • 2  Pour into 2 glasses. Serve immediately with bacon slice placed in each glass.

Now I ask you – what two words describe this one???

Easy Peasy !

Even a smoothie is better!!    My Mom is a banana and p-nut butter nut so this was a NATURAL around here!

It might be a little much to accompany your smoothie with this snack…..even if you DO love p-nut butter like my Mom!

Yep- we’ve got that look around here – throughout the castle in fact!

Would you believe my very own Mom said if I tried to get in a bed like this I’d look JUST LIKE THIS PHOTO – “overhang” !!!!!

Is that any way to speak to a King?????   I think not!!!  Even if she IS my Mom!

Kingly Hugs from King Teddy

  1. I am another who doesn’t like peanut butter. I am thinking that almond butter would work just as well though. I agree that Yoplait yoghurt is delicious and the French vanilla is my favourite.

  2. Oh, you outdid yourself on easy, Teddy and that HAS to be totally delicious. ALL my favorite things whirled together and with BACON!!

  3. I bet that is good. I am too lazy to get out the blender though. I always joke you know we are Polish because the only time we use the blender is to blend our horseradish twice a year. Have a great day! XO

  4. Well, we do love pb and bananas, so why not add a little scrumptious bacon to the mix!!!

    Happy Labor Day Weekend.

  5. Our dad would absolutely love that smoothy. He is a huge peanut butter fan. If he is still hungry after a meal, he makes a PB&J sammich! Mom thinks she’d like that peanut butter and bacon on bread better. “Overhang” was not a nice thing to say. You are a healthy young man cat. Love and hugs. 6. Hmmmmm….. so this is what happened when the girl walking down the street eating the jar of peanut butter walked into the guy who was eating bacon on the run. It’s not quite Reese’s peanut butter cups, but it’s…… something.

I wanna know what YOU've got to say!!
