Time to Fill !! Fill what? Why, fill in the sentences that our co-hosts give us every week that’s what! And in fact, one of our co-hosts (Miss Ellen from 15andMeowing) wrote a book that I’m going to do a book review on today so let’s get on with the filling in and I’ll tell you ALLLLL about a GREAT book that I’ve read……………Oh yes – if you’d like to fill-in with the rest of us Hoppers, click the badge above and join us.
Here are the sentences we got for this week. I got to answer them ALL BY MYSELF and my answers are in RED!
1. A whistle from my Mom will get me moving toward her in a flash! I respond to whistling but not calling my name!.
2. The best time of the day is early morning when Mom and I have “our time” before Dad gets up; we play and Mom feeds me breakfast and I follow her around wherever she goes!.
3. Wet kitty cat food is not my strong suit.
4. It’s all fun and games until loud thunder happens then I get nervous.
That was fun……thank you to our co-hosts for this totally fun Hop every week – it’s a great way to get to know the “inside scoop” about each other!
Now I want to tell you all about Miss Ellen’s wonderful first childrens book and I invited my good friend Prancie of 15andMeowing to let me interview her for my book review of “Prancie’s Prayer”.
Prancie’s Prayer by Ellen J. Pilch

I thought it would be fun to talk to Prancie about this magical little book her Mom wrote all about her! So I picked up the telephone and gave her a buzz and here’s what I asked her (IN BLUE) and her answers (IN RED). I also asked Prancie for some photos of her – oldies and newies – and I’ve put them among the questions so those of you who don’t know Prancie can see what a pretty ginger lady she is.

Pretty Prancie
TEDDY: Prancie it must be VERY exciting to have your Mom’s very first book be ALL ABOUT YOU! Did you consult with her on the content??
PRANCIE: Yes, it is exciting. Yes, mom was always telling Dad we are collaborating on a book. Really though, we were just snuggling.
TEDDY: I feel so sad that you were on the hunt for a new home, or food and shelter in such COLD weather, when you wound up at your Mom and Dad’s house – what did you think when you saw SO many other cats living there?
PRANCIE: I thought it must be a good place. Most of the cats were quite plump so I figured they got fed often.
TEDDY: Do you think your Mom could write stories about the other kitties in your house too?
PRANCIE: I guess she could, but my story is the most interesting.
TEDDY: What’s your most favorite part of the book?
PRANCIE: When I say a prayer to thank Jesus for my home, knowing I will never be out in the cold again.
TEDDY: What was your first impression of your new home?
PRANCIE: I knew it was great, lots of places to nap and other kitties to play with and toys everywhere. There was a bully though, for some reason Barney did not like me. I don’t know why, I am so sweet. I made sure to stick by one of my folks so she couldn’t chase me.

Yeah – this is the life!!
TEDDY: Mom and I thought the artist who did the drawings for your book did a great job. Do you think he made YOU look like YOU????
PRANCIE: Yes, Nick is a fantastic artist. My ears do not look like me, but mom left that part out. You see my ears got frostbitten when I was in the cold and they literally froze off. I look pretty cute with short ears though.

I have lots of great snoozy spots in my house!
TEDDY: If someone would like an autographed copy of your Mom’s book, how can they get one?
PRANCIE: Mom is selling copies through our blog for $10, this includes shipping. If you want it autographed just let her know. She feels funny signing because she writes like a child, but she will do it.
TEDDY: One last question dear Prancie……….would you like your Mom to write more books about YOU????
PRANCIE: Yes, I would love a sequel or even a whole series about me.

Me and my Dad snuggling!!
Thanks a lot for spending some time with me talking about your Mom’s first book. My Mom has read it AND even read it to ME and both of us loved it. My Dad thought it was a fun little book as well. ALL of us agree this is a perfect book to read to a little one in your family because it’s full of sweet drawings and the story is one of the struggles some of us go through to try and find a FOREVER HOME when we’ve lost ours or maybe never ever had one before. You are one lucky girl to live in your house with the other kitties and your loving Mom and Dad.
My Mom thinks this is a great little “Christmas Book” because you found your forever at Christmas time……..and it’s about the power of prayer. Not only would this make a GREAT Christmas present for a “little person” you all might know, it’s easy to read so little readers can settle down with the book on their own and read it over and over and over themselves OR sit in the lap with a grownup while THEY read the story and bring it to life with their voice.
Anyone wanting to read the book should visit Amazon.com by clicking the BOOK COVER above – we have linked it to the page where Miss Ellen has her photo and the versions of the book that are available to purchase. Remember, if you want an autographed copy, you can let Miss Ellen know by leaving a COMMENT for her on her blog HERE.
Our BIG THANKS to Miss Ellen and Prancie for letting us interview them – we wish you tons of success with this first book and hope there are MANY MORE TO COME!
We definitely give this book our HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION as an easy, fun and charming read. Your kids will love this one – SET THEIR IMAGINATION FREE………….

Happy Friday from Teddy the Interviewer (!) and Mom
