Sunday Selfie Hop

Standard

Yippeee!  It’s Sunday Selfie time!

Happy Sunday everybody.   I’m joining the Sunday Selfie Blog Hop hosted by our good friends at The Cat On My Head for some good old fun.   Sunday is a great time to check in on your friends and see a photo they’ve chosen to “strut their stuff”.    Mom, Dad and I were outside for a while yesterday and Mom had her camera with her so she got some new photos of me.    I was lounging in the DIRT which is on my top five favorite things to do outside list.    We have a lot of dirt in our backyard – the incessant rains we’ve had pretty much washed all our grass away……!   We have a major erosion issue in he backyard as it’s all “downhill”…………we have a lot of trees back there too so grass doesn’t grow well but I’m not complaining!   I like dirt.    My Dad doesn’t like it though and my Mom doesn’t like having to clean her yard shoes off constantly but hey – I don’t wear shoes so I’m good to go.

Anyway, my selfie today is one of my “dirt shots” from yesterday.    I’ve got the “normal” photo and a jazzed up version Mom did along with a jigsaw of the jazzy one.    She likes to torture people I guess……..jigsaws are always challenging!

This is after Mom Lunapic-ized me using the RedBlush art effect which she’s NEVER used before.   Below is the jigsaw of this jazzy version of me if you’re up for a little challenge this Sunday morning!    If not – have a super fabulous day anyway!

Click this “mini-me” to do the puzzle!

If you click The Cat On My Head’s badge at the top of this page, you can join in the SELFIE FUN – just use the Linky tool and put your link in – we’ll come visit you……………….!!

  1. MOL, Teddy! We have a lot of dirt here too… because it is so hot and dry. Binga will roll in it, but I’m not allowed! You are lucky you can get a little dirty.

    • So Binga is a dirt lover too – well I’m finding out lotsa kitties enjoy a good roll around in the cool dirt. I figure as long as I stay clean enough to avoid a BATH I’m good to go!

  2. Haha, Teddy the Dirtball!
Eric and Flynn used to tell me how good it felt to roll in the dirt. Eric used to roll and roll until he was filthy.
I like the art. I have used a lower percentage of Red Blush sometimes to bring a bit of colour back into my art when the effects I have used have faded it out a bit.
I will do the puzzle later.

    • Well it’s nice and COOL in the dirt for one thing…..and the other fun thing about dirt is it IRRITATES my Mom and Dad when I lie in it. I like to keep them on their toes ya know.

  3. Love the red, flaming grass you seem to have in your jazzed up image, can you imagine Sorry that are getting eroded, around here we are relatively flat, and water tends never to come hard enough to wash stuff away, though I think it has the mousies! MOL

    • Pretty cool art effect isn’t it? Mom never tried that one before. I seem to have become a real PIG these last rainy months and Mom seems NOT to appreciate that. She’s constantly having to wash my harness and clean my toesies up with a cloth after we come inside. Now we have the added issue of acorns falling from the oak trees in preparation for Fall! It’s like being bombed when I’m out in my yard – those acorns hurt!

    • Promise not to tell my Mom but YES, Angel Sammy taught me how to keep my whites white while still getting to roll around in the dirt. It’s a highly prized and top secret thing we gingers know!

    • Mom is absolutely stymied about how I keep my whites white…….I’m at a loss how to explain it too…..but I somehow manage NOT to drag dirt in with me when we come in – Mom takes off my harness and shakes it out and I come in and disappear for a while so Mom is sure I’m in some hidey spot having a tongue bath. I’m not tellin’ !!

    • Puzzling is always a great “excuse” to take SEVERAL snack breaks. I agree though about this puzzle – I think because there were areas of solid color vs. color everywhere that made it harder????

      HAPPY SUNDAY

    • Well my Mom has almost always had a ginger in her life……but she says she thinks I’m the BIGGEST one she’s ever had!! Her ginger boy Ricky was a big guy too but I’m solid as a rock she says and he wasn’t. Anyway, I know your Mom is probably like my Mom – cats are all just plain LOVABLE (especially us though right Katie??).

  4. Great selfie Teddy. Angel Phoebe used to love to roll in the dirt on every walk we took her on. I like the artsy version, you look like you are on Mars 🙂 I will do the puzzle later today. XO

  5. Great selfie, Teddy. That is one of the reasons why I never get to go outside…I want to roll in the dirt. And the mom won’t let me. ~Ernie

  6. You’re going to have to give me some tips on how to grow that dirt, because I’d love to have more of that and less “grass” (Probably more weeds than grass) that has to be cut all summer long. My backyard slopes downhill towards the ditch, but it still grows really tall grass!

    • We have a major erosion problem because we’re on a hill so all our grass just washes away. You’re lucky to have STRONG AND PERSISTENT grass! Ours gives up and floats down to the bottom of the yard!

  7. Teddy Bean Gingersnap Dirtball, you are such a charmer. Our mom gets all happy whenever she sees you. Rolling in the dirt is glorious according to Mau. He loves to turn his black furs brown. We absolutely love your “on fire” portrait. Mom will give it a go as a puzzle. She did the new Cat Scouts one this morning in 49 min and 43 sec. She should have used that time to comment on blogs for us. PFFT! Love to all. • Your Mom did the puzzle at Scouts FASTER than my Mom did! BRAVO! I’m glad Mau is also a dirtball like me. Mom has no idea why I enjoy rolling in the dirt but I do – maybe it’s to keep the bugs off me? Natural bug spray? Tee Hee
