Friday Fill-Ins

Standard

Happy Friday everybody!    It’s time to fill in the blanks……….this fun blog hop is co-hosted by our friends at 15andMeowing AND Four-Legged Furballs and it’s a great time to get together and share information about ourselves or our humans!    How do we do that?   Well each of our hostesses give us TWO sentences and WE take over and fill in the blanks!   It’s fun and if you wanna join in – click the badge above to go to 15andMeowing and fill in the LINKY FORM – EASY!

Here are this week’s sentences and Mom and I split them up this time around.   I filled in #1 and #3 and Mom did #2 and #4!   Mine are BLUE and hers are RED.

1. When it is hot, I like being under a shrub outside OR my dwarf maple tree in the cool dirt!.
2. I am looking forward to the END of this month.   (note:  July is the most miserable month possible here in Northern Virginia…..August won’t be much better but still not as bad as July!)
3. The theme song of my life would be “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” (except that this lion sleeps not just at night but most of the time….tee hee).
4. There is no such thing as too many friends or too much love.

OK Mom – we did it again this week!    We make good fill-in partners don’t you think?    I have to admit too that even though I love being outside in the heat, I do think July is rather miserable – it’s not just hot but it’s humid and I know that makes you uncomfortable when you take me outside.   At least we have a lot of shade around in our yard AND there’s always the nice cool woods we can hide out in……

Down the woods trail to the bench……

I hope everyone stays cool today – we are hopeful that today we will at long last get some rain.   All the plants are wanting it – Mom and Dad want it – and I have to admit, I want it – another of my favorite things is taking a walk in the rain!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Let’s go!!!

Love, Teddy

  1. We need rain too. I water the plants mornings and night times, but it is not the same as getting rain on them. Even our lawn is turning brown, and that never happens here! I hope you get your much needed rain.

    • Hi Jackie….looks like we MIGHT get some later this morning finally…..it’s awful to have day after day of rain and wishing it would stop – then to get that wish and have day after day of hot and dry with no moisture……maybe we’re just never truly satisfied with the weather?? LOL Hope you get some rain too!!

      Hugs, Pam

  2. Wish I could send you some of our rain… every ding dang afternoon! The pond is FULL, all the ponds are full. We have had some pretty strong storms. I think I’m getting used to them. Yes, on #4… check out my Fill-ins at Ellen’s! Love the through the woods and down to the bench picture!

    • I wish you could send rain too – we are desperate…..so are our plants and grass! I’m glad you are adjusting to that Floridaaaadeeeeeeeedddooooooooo weather. The little spot in the woods is nice because it’s almost always about 10 degrees cooler just being there instead of in the yard. However the mosquitos like to hang out down there!

  3. Thank you both for these great fill-in answers, you two do make a good team. Good theme song Teddy. And I agree with your Mom on #4, but I am not eager for July to end despite the heat because it is my birthday month and I get to torture my hubby to cater to my every whim 🙂
I love the photo of you in your harness, you look so handsome. Have a great weekend! XO

  4. Teddy, you and Mom Pam definitely make great fill-in partners. We cannot wait for this couple day break in the HOTS that we are getting tomorrow and Sunday. We’ve already had a bit of rain today. Paws crossed for more. We are in love with that photo of you on the front porch. • We are having a teeny tiny shower right now but not enough to make any kind of different – in fact it will probably be MORE miserable outside after this than it would be otherwise. Well we wanted rain – but this is LESS than a shower – five inutes of tiny drops does not a shower make! HAHA The cooler temps are nice though.

  5. We’d be totally miserable in Arizona if we had more than single digit humidity. I’d rather be here in 115 with 6% humidity than in 95 with 95% humidity.

    • You’re right – Mom and Dad said when they had a vacation in Phoenix years ago even though it was over 100 it did NOT feel like it. Here with this humidity it just plain STINKS!

    • Hi Madi! July has been too danged hot PERIOD. I’m a guy who likes hot but honestly – if I can’t enjoy being out there because Mom is getting “dewy” then it’s just not fun!

      Stay cool……

  6. Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! You and your mom always have such fantastic fill-ins, Teddy. I just love love love your theme song choice! Your home and yard are so beautiful (I’d probably live in those woods if I lived there!). We hope you all have a cool and cozy Friday!

  7. Super-fun fill-ins, T. Walking in the rain is NOT one of my favorite things AT ALL. I do not like wet grasses touching my paws. Mom says the word, “Come on. I don’t like it either,” and then she drags me into the grass. Apparently, if she’s getting wet, we’re ALL getting wet!

    • Well dear Cupcake at least you and your Mom are together getting wet…..I know sometimes when I’m out in the rain Mom will hold the umbrella over me but that doesn’t keep my toesies from getting soaked! I guess we must be brave right Cupcake? Eventually we go back inside in the dry…..(and get to lick our feet!).

  9. Hey Teddy,
We picked the same song because if you’re going to give a cat a theme song, it definitely has to refer to napping!

  11. I enjoyed your answers and hope that you will get rain soon. We’ve had it off and on all week long and have enjoyed a cool day in the midst of it. The mosquitoes are certainly enjoying it, too!

“The Lion Sleeps Tonight” is a great son. 🙂

    Have a blessed weekend.

  12. The Lion Sleeps Tonight would work well for Martha, too. He likes to sleep in some very unusual places. He is finally getting used to the dog and they have both started sleeping with me in my chair. Have a blessed week.
