Ahhhh – is that the sound of the school bell ringing??????

YES IT IS!    And it means you’d better COMMENT before you come inside from the school bus area because YOU (yes YOU) might be the FIRST COMMENTER today!

Here we are – gathered together to solve a mystery.    The mystery is “WHERE WAS THIS PHOTO TAKEN???” and it’s up to all of you little Sherlock Holmes-ish students to figure it out.

I DEFINITELY studied! I am SOOO ready!

I hope all of you studied………………but just in case we have any newbies today, let’s review the TEASER RULES shall we?

Nor will I…….trust me on that!!

So now that we have THAT straight, let’s get on with the show.    Today’s photo is interesting and beautiful and hopefully tough.    We’ll see how tough it is once I show it to you.   Remember that you have a chance to win yourself a little token of your SMARTS with a badge if you do well.   We have badges for our FIRST COMMENTER, our FIRST RIGHT GUESSER, any other RIGHT GUESSERS, and of course our WRONG GUESSERS.

Our fabulous security guard will now bring in today’s Teaser photo which he has kept locked up in his briefcase for DAYS so I’m sure he’ll be happy to hand it over!

Cheer Team?   You are wanted in class to get this class whipped into a frenzy so they’ll be alert and studying the photo to make an intelligent (hopefully) guess where this was taken!

We’ll jump and shake and give a wiggle
All to inspire you to win, win, win
Give our Professors some grins, grins, grins
We hope your brains are working well
If they’re all tuned up things should be swell!
So get to work and tomorrow when we’re here
We’ll be saying your name when we do our CHEER!

Hmm…..this might be it but I’d better keep looking…..

That’s what we like to see – STUDENTS HARD AT WORK…………………whenever you’re ready to take a break though, Miss Dingleberry is ready to serve up some lunch to you so you can eat while you study or take lunch out to the picnic tables for some air – whatever floats your boat……..

Nothing like a little grease to make your brains happy!

  7. It looks familiar from a nature programme but not sure where. Maybe New Zealand? Milford Sound, just a wild guess. Will come back later to try harder.

    Then I got distracted by the food which is delicious.

    Wherever th teaser is, it’s beautiful. I’m going to guess Norway. I may be back later with another guess.

    • Hi Clowie! Norway huh? It could be Norway but you think about it and come back (for seconds from the Fried Food tent AND for guessing!) any time you want to. Wherever this photo was taken – it’s gorgeous isn’t it?!

    • The cheer crew are being pretty close-mouthed about their dates which makes me wonder about who they are going out with……I bet it’s good that we DON’T know! 🙂

  18. With all the pollution controls, that ship must be on fire. I’m thinking that Phenny was right-it is Maine. The only harbor ship fire I can think of is Havana, Cuba and that is the MAINE on fire to start the stupid Spanish-American war in 1898. The only problem is that I don’t see any yellow journalism in the photo.

    • Sadly Phenny’s “Maine” guess was way off target this week as this photo with the ship on fire is in New Zealand. Actually that smoke from the ferry boat or whatever type ship it is might be the only “out of place” thing in this otherwise perfectly beautiful photo of this rather out of the way city in a harbor. We think Evil Squirrel’s assumption that Miss Dingleberry is the chef on the ship and is burning the food MIGHT be correct !

  20. Looks like someone else is getting sent up the river. Accommodating the prisoners on this one way trip to the penitentiary is the new prison chef Miss Dingleberry. You can tell she’s the ship’s cook given that yet another meal is being mercilessly overdone and burnt. Forget illegal drugs and ciggies, the only thing getting smuggled into this joint by the prisoners is Maalox and Alka Seltzer…

  23. Wow, that is pretty! Look at all those lights!
    Mountains for extra ‘oomph’…
    And I do hope that ferry gets to its port before it gets too dark to find it.

    I am going to agree with Speedy today, he seems to have his thinking cap on:

    Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown, New Zealand

    I think I have found another place to add to my bucket list, MOL!

  24. Fantastic picture of a lovely little town. This could be anywhere in BC. This is our landscape. However, I don’t think it’s that easy. I have a gnawing feelin’, no I’m not hungry, that this picture is either the Yukon or Alaska. I heard the government of the US sends all it’s old boats up to Alaska and that’s why this boat goes through too much gas and is polluting the environment with smoke. My guess Is Juno, Alaska. mol

    • We noticed that boat with the smoke too – maybe an old ferry? Anyway, how about New Zealand? Would you have guessed that? We wouldn’t but we don’t know that much about that area – sure is gorgeous – so is BC too!

    • We love happy BWAINS around here……Mom’s might be half a BWAIN sometimes but even IT is happy. This was a very cool Teaser don’t you think? Speedy was first to get it but others figured it out too – sure looks like a pretty spot.

        • Well I think it’s more fun to do it that way – just studying the photo and using your impressions to guess but lots of people google all kinds of things to try and find a similar photo. WHATEVER WORKS!!

  33. I’m so late, it’s almost tomorrow. Is it Queenstown, New Zealand? It sure is a pretty place. I can’t imagine visiting such a far away place. We’re taking a trip this summer and hope I can send in a teaser. The one badge I haven’t gotten.
