Teaser Tell All

Standard

Time for your Professors to TELL!!

Groovy Profs – tell it like it is, man………..

Hello Students!    Here we are gathering together in class to give you the details on who won what yesterday……………….plus we have a CONUNDRUM involving the Teaser to tell you about as well!

But before we get into that – wanna know who was the FIRST COMMENTER?    We had THREE of them…………I know Suzie is glad it wasn’t SIX of them but three IS better than FOUR so let’s award some badges shall we??

McGuffy’s Reader, Evil Squirrel’s Nest, Friends Furever

Congratulations to Miss Annie, Mr. Bill and Miss Sharon from the above blogs for chiming in during the first 60 seconds yesterday!  You each take to take home one of these fabulous badges!!!!!

I was one of THREE First Commenters on the Teaser of March 13, 2018! YAY FOR ME!

Whoopteedoooo!

Gosh, I don’t think Marge has ever cheered for anyone!    I think she has a crush on Bill from The Evil Squirrels Nest.   Yep ………that’s what I think!

Now to tell you the CONUNDRUM.    First of all the photo yesterday was one my Mom found online.    She had this idea to use a photo of the River Walk – such an amazing tourist attraction – so she googled, “RIVER WALK, TEXAS” and up popped a zillion photos MOST of which said the River Walk was in Austin, Texas.    There were a few that said it was often SAID to be in Austin but was in FACT in San Antonio, Texas.    Mom went with the majority – and what this particular image SAID it was, which was a photo of the River Walk in Austin.

Here’s the Teaser photo again!

The famous and beautiful River Walk is in San Antonio, Texas and spans the San Antonio River.    There are a lot of photos to be seen of this marvelous location regardless of whether you google River Walk, Austin, Texas or River Walk, San Antonio, Texas……..either way, it’s an incredibly beautiful spot.   There are barge rides up and down the river – all manner of restaurants and shops and most of all cool, green landscapes – huge trees and lots of cool water.

A Pretty Spot for a Teaser!

SO, who was it who was the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER?    Annie of McGuffy’s Reader guessed AUSTIN, TEXAS…………………………….so she wins this little beauty!!

I was the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER on the Teaser of March 13, 2018!!

There were others who chose Austin AND those of you who did get one of these!

I guessed RIGHT but wasn’t FIRST on the Teaser of March 13, 2018……oh well….NEXT TIME!

If you were one of our many WRONG…………you still win something………..one of these!

I guessed wrong on the Teaser of March 13, 2018 but I still got a badge!!

Cheer team?   How about cheering everybody up with one of your fabulous cheers??

Three of you were QUICK and were FIRSTIES
That made the cheer team mighty thirsty
After Teaser it’s goodbye cheer
And off to the pub for a nice cold beer!
The Firsties Three were Annie, Bill and Sharon
We’ll mention their names so you know that we’re carin’ !
Then one of THOSE firsties made a guess!  She was faster than the REST….
Miss Annie was on the ball – she certainly stands tall!
Now the Cheer Team is about to take a trip – to the Hot Tub to take a dip!!

Hey – the hot tub is taken!!!!

We have a reminder for you about TEASERS………….Remember if you have any photos you think would make FUN Teasers in class, send them to us!   We will feature them on an upcoming Teaser – just email them to us!!!!  WHEEEEEEE!

ATTENTION – FOOD IS NOW SERVED IN MISS D’S TENT!

Miss Dingleberry – will you do the honors for feeding all of us today?

Congratulations Winners, Almost Winners, and Losers too!

  1. There’s actually tons of Riverwalks all over the U.S., they must be good business for the cities. Plus Venice, California does have canals, I didn’t check the prices, because I don’t think my heart could take it. Speaking of heart attacks, I’ll have some chicken and fries wrapped up in my greenie please. Congratulations to all the winners and the losers too. See you next week Professors Teddy and Angel Sammy.

    • We realized that what started in one place turned into a “bundle of business” too – but it’s a very cool thing that people are turning things like their canals, streams, rivers into spots to gather and enjoy the beauty (and shopping and restaurants too of course!). Sure looks like it would be a fun place to hang out doesn’t it?!?! See you in class next week!

      Hugs, Teddy

  2. Congratulations to the winners!

Another Greenie for my collection – they look so pretty together, almost as pretty as that photo!

We had a lovely sunny day yesterday, but there’s supposed to be more snow on the way. 😀

  4. Wow! I guess it pays to have crazy musician friends who live in places like Austin. He is in Nashville, now. I will watch for a Nashville Teaser, too, too! There are many Riverwalks, as they attract tourists. In fact, Chicago has a Riverwalk. They are getting ready to colour it green, as they do every year for St. Patrick’ sDay.

I am honoured to win First Commenter. Getting up so very early, I was determined to get to class early, too! Thank you! To be first right guesser was especially wonderful! Thank you for all that you do. It is a lot of fun to come here and play while learning something new, or recalling something that you forgot. I appreciate the fun and friendship here, and YOU! Hugs!

P.S. Thank for the cheer, too. I don’tthink that 5’2″ is standing tall, Except, I guess I am to a couple of cats and dogs. Thanks! Hugs.

    • Yes it does pay to have friends all over the place – otherwise we’d just be in our own little contained world! I was happy to learn that there are RiverWalks in many places – they look like great gathering places and when they are in big cities and towns they bring a little “oasis” to a place just like a real oasis does to the desert. Relax, have fun, forget your cares…..enjoy music, food, people watching, rollin’ on the river – WHATEVER! Thanks for being such a good student and concatulations on TWO TWO TWO badges!!!! WOOT! By the way, no matter what our literal height is, we can all “STAND TALL”…..if we choose to – and you do!

  5. I love going to school too. I usually get an “F”, but I get an “A” in attendance. AND the Dunce Hat fits well. I have it all worked in to fit around my ears just right. Plus, I’m angling to get an invite to the hot tub with Sarge. Ahem.

    • Katie be careful – I think Sarge has “hidden depths” (not the hot tub – I mean SARGE!!!!!!)….I’ll give you a hint – just act up in class and Sarge will be all over you (figuratively – not literally).

  6. Well, well! Oh my…anyways we too have a Riverwalk in Battle Creek, MI. It is not a business nor a sidewalk along the river but it is a Church, and in a few moments petcretary will be going there for a weekly Bible study group she attends…go figure!
The river is across the street there, and it was quite flooded so that the bike and pedestrian path that goes for several miles along it we closed for quite a while, recently.

    See ya!!

    • I was astounded how many “River Walks” there actually are along rivers! So many beautiful little spots created just for people to enjoy being outside – walking or talking or eating or shopping or just plain RELAXING. This one looks great!

      Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  8. Congrats to Miss Annie, Mr. Bill and Miss Sharon, your speedy first guessers! Congrats again to Miss Annie for being first with the right guess too.
I know I didn’t make a guess yesterday, but it was not the place I had in mind when I thought it looked familiar.

    • It was a rather tricky Teaser in many ways………it really does look like a New Orleans style house for one thing……..and there wasn’t much information in the photo to go by either! We are SNEAKY!

    • It was – just as Burger King says – A WHOPPER!!! (with bacon and cheese)……………..we love Teaser every week. Sometimes it’s a big challenge (and it’s always a lot of work!) but it’s FUN!!!!

        • I think one of the best parts of a “blog event” is the comments…..Teaser is a whole lot about our “geography class” (!) interacting with each other and with the Professors. You could just come and guess and leave and not come back but instead people STAY and chat and it’s like being in school (only without Miss Dingleberry, Sarge, Marge and all the other misfits!).

  10. I feel honored to have had the legendary Suzie Q. shout my name again….. er, I mean for the first time…. at least in public. As for Sarge, he better get the hell out of that hot tub, because it isn’t the cheer team that has next, it’s Miss D. And there ain’t NOBODY wanna see that!

    • The mind boggles at the thought of Miss D in the hot tub…..it boggles enough with her OUT of the tub much less IN! Wonder if she has a water proof hairnet??? Concatulations again on the FIRSTIE badge! Sometimes it pays to get up early. HAHAHA

  11. It was years ago, but Mom has been to the River Walk and she doesn’t remember it being so “exotic looking.” She never would have guessed that. Maybe she needs to go again. Concats to Annie.
