SPARKS for Monday

Standard

Time to put a little SPARKLE in our week!

SPARKS is a wonderful Blog Hop – the brainchild of my friend Annie from McGuffy’s Reader.   Her idea was that a wonderful way to start off our week would be with a little inspiration – a little push – a little shove – a little OOOOMPH to make us ready to face another week of life in this world we live in.   Inspiration comes in many forms and we can share inspiration with everyone however we want to in this Hop.    I enjoy looking for quotes that “speak to me” and hope that because they resonate so loudly within ME, maybe they will reach others in the same way.    If you’d like to join this Hop, just click on the graphic above – it takes you to Annie’s blog where you can use the LINKY tool and join us!

This quote that I found for today is maybe one of my favorites of all time……………..how can we learn new things – stretch our imagination – connect with great ideas and great people if we don’t “leave port”……..a safe harbor is one thing, but never leaving it to see what the world has in store for us would be a shame………..we are “built” to explore.

Have a good week everyone………………put a little sparkle in your life and everyone else’s – take a chance…………!

Love, Pam

  1. Pam,

It’s hard to get out of one’s comfort zone to not only uplift one’s life but to touch another person’s. Great reminder that we need to venture away from our safe confines into the great big world. Have a wonderful week, my friend!

    • It is hard to get away from the “safe place” most of us have but I think the marvelous thing is that MOST of the time we discover our safe place truly kept us from “seeing the world”…and it’s a mighty big and wonderful world to see. You have a wonderful week too Cathy!

      Hugs, Pam

  2. Mom says she’d not heard that quote before, and it indeed is a good one. Even if you get “seasick,” it’s best to take a chance and explore what is beyond the horizon. Hope everyone at your house is having a good start to a new week. Sending lots of love. • We’re all fine – watching the rain – but at least it’s 35 which is HOT compared to the last couple of weeks! We’re sending more POTP to Cooper and lots of hugs to everyone!

      Love, Teddy and Mom too

  3. Oh WoW! This is a quote we had not read before! Or purrhaps we had but it did not resonate with us the way it did today! We sure love Monday Sparks! It makes us energized!

    • My Mom says SPARKS is growing with more participating and the more POWER and LIGHT and POSITIVITY out there the better! I think she’s right – Mondays are the best day because so many are sharing what works for them to light up their lives. We agree – Mondays are full of energy thanks to Miss Annie’s hop!

Hugs to you and your Mommy, Teddy (and his Mommy!)

    • You’re right – and different ways of saying the same thing work – because they “reach” different people that way. Positivity comes in all shapes and sizes but it’s all POSITIVE!

  4. I think I would have enjoyed Mr. Einstein. He has some great quotes. Thank you for being part of Sparks. I truly adore you.
Kenzie has been sick. We spent the day at the vet. It seems she has a severe infection, so is on antibiotics. When this round is complete, she will have more tests. They think she could have more than one issue. She will be 11 next month.
    HUGS.

    • Oh we are sending lots of POTP for Kenzie….Sounds like she’s really sick and that’s extra tough on a senior. Hopefully those antibiotics will fix her up soon and her other tests won’t show anything that can’t be easily fixed too. As for Sparks – I love being part of it and you are so sweet to host it….more and more are hopping on the Sparks bandwagon and let’s face it; the more positivity we spread the happier the world will be!

      • You are wonderful. This made me a bit teary, in a good way. Thank you. I am worried about Kenzie. She had it a bit rough before coming to us. We are all praying for her full recovery from this infection. HUGS.
If I miss The Teaser, it is because I am dropping off the minions for their “procedures”. Today is their “big day”. They will be six months old later this week.

        • Teddy and I will continue sending energy, love, hugs, and of course POTP for Kenzie…..it’s not easy getting older AND I know myself how tough it is to “be well” as we age….takes longer to fight things off and to heal! Anyway, the prayer brigade is working overtime for her believe me!

    • Oh I’m glad your Mom joined Annie’s SPARKLE Hop. It’s a great way to start the week! I let my Mom have my blog on Mondays too – it’s the least we can do to share a little LIGHT right Lady Shasta and Miss Maizie?

      Hugs, Teddy (and Mom Pam)

  5. I’ve always gravitate towards this quote and think it’s a perfect thought to begin a new year. Harbors are safe, and sometimes it’s scary to sail out on those open waters. But harbors tend to get a bit boring too! 🙂

    • You’re right – harbors offer safety but smooth water doesn’t teach us much other than how NOT to get seasick! Out on the water in the wind we experience more – we may decide we prefer the harbor but how will we know if we don’t TRY?!
