Friday Fill-Ins

Standard

Let’s Fill In Some Sentences OK?

Friday is here and that means that we will be pawticipating in our fun Friday activity of joining this blog hop co-hosted by Ellen of 15andMeowing and Annie of McGuffys’ Reader where we fill in blanks in sentences that they give us!    What’s fun about that?  Well we sure learn a lot of interesting stuff about each other – that’s what’s fun!     If you’d like to join in, click the graphic above and join by filling in the LINKY TOOL.   Simple as that – then fill in the sentences and visit everyone else who did.

Here are our four sentences for this Friday.    I’m going to try to fill them in myself (in green) but if I get stumped I’ll let Mom take over (in red)!

1. My guiding word for 2018 is FUN (I’m just a kid and all I want to do is have fun – especially playing with my Mom – the red dot, throw the ball, chase me around the house, it’s good exercise too!).

2. A house is not a home without LOVE and I get plenty of that around here!.

3. I look forward to turning TWO this year.  Then I’ll be all grown up right?

4.  I really need to lose weight, because my Mom has a bad back and carrying me around or putting me on the bathroom counter for a drink is tough for her and my 19-ish pound body!!!!)
So there you have it – I’ve done ALL The filling in ALL by myself this week!  WHEEEEE!!!!!!!     How about you?  Have you done yours yet?   Thanks Miss Annie and Miss Ellen for doing this every week.

Who’s “BIG” – not me – I’m just a little kid – heck I’m not even TWO yet!

Love and Happy Friday!    Teddy

    • I do play a lot but I also sleep a lot – however my Mom says that’s “typical cat”………SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO as long as my vet says I’m not overweight maybe I should just RELAX about it. My Mom isn’t worried, my Dad isn’t worried (but calls me “chubby”, and my vet said I’m just a BIG CAT. Somewhere in the middle of all that I think I make out pretty well! HAHAHA

  1. You and mom both get your exercise!
My guiding word(s) is…if you eat it, write it down and don’t accidentally (ha!) forget to).
A house is not a home without a cat in it.
I look forward to non below freezing temps so mom can get out again and walk lots.
Mom and I both need to lose weight!

    • My Dad is still out there in this ridiculous cold taking a walk every other day – at least a mile…….my Mom says “no way”……..she doesn’t want to have to wear ten pounds of coat/scarf/gloves/hat and trudge around the development so I guess she will just have to go the gym. At least it’s warmer than 4 degrees there!

    • Well Sundae I don’t think you could weigh 19 lbs. even if you TRIED! LOL I’ve got BIG BONES I suppose…..my frame can handle this weight – I still run around like a crazy cat all over the house so it sure doesn’t slow me down!

  2. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins. You did a great job Teddy. I like your guiding word-fun is what all kitties should have. Maybe you and I could go on a diet together. Have a nice weekend! XO

  3. Oh cousin – you are a sink drinker too? Hemi here will only drink from the sink. Shakes my piggy head. You never see mom/dad trying to put me on the sink – as if. Snorts and rolls with piggy laughter! Happy Friday! XOXO – Bacon

    • You SHOULD eat like a bird….I have to say I’ve never seen a FAT bird nor have I ever seen diet birdseed. If Teddy ate more like a bird than a pig he probably would NOT weigh 19 lbs. right now – on the other hand if he ate like a bird he’d have a MIGHTY loud SQUAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWK!

  4. Teddy Butterbean…I predict when you turn two you will lose the ‘butter’ and just be TeddyBean
19 lbs OMCs…sorry that was mom.

  5. Hey Teddy, having fun is top on my list but I find a nap is getting to feel better as I run out of steam. Until you lose a bit…you will run out of steam too. I also have gained weight over the winter but am trying to lose it. I will lose some in the spring when I jump up on the fence. Right now, I’m having trouble getting on the sink…..how the mighty have fallen. tsk tsk.

    • I CAN hop up on the sink but won’t. I wait patiently for Mom or Dad to come by then look pitiful and squeak. Works every time. We’ll trim down in the Spring right Shoko? Right!

  6. Fun and Love sound like two words that go together very well, Teddy.

We don’t know a lot about what kitties should weigh, but we don’t like the words “lose weight” – maybe you are just a BIG boy like Lightning:)

    • I think I am just a BIG BOY and I don’t think my vet would have said that if he didn’t think that himself. Guess next checkup we’ll “revisit” my weight but so far so good…..Mom says it’s just more of me to love. HAHAHA

  7. Teddy, one of the reasons my human has me is because I’m a little cat – I’m just 7 lbs., which is typical for my breed! I don’t know why, but non-breed kitties (except for Maine Coons and Chausies, basically) run rather small. Binga and Boodie are both close to 10 lbs., which is a typical size for nonbreed girl cats. Binga weighed more when she was younger!

    • Sammy weighed 14 lbs. at his biggest….but that was for a very brief time………We kinda think once this ridiculous winter weather is NORMAL with the exercise I’ve missed going outside for walks I’ll slim down a bit. Mom wants me to be healthy but I’m eating what the doc told me to eat…Sammy almost exclusively ate wet food and I won’t touch it…….might have something to do with things but who knows!! Seven pounds is a perfect size……. 🙂

        • Mom would prefer I eat wet – she’s tried everything including raw and I just won’t eat. OF course I could probably exist for a week without eating at my size (!) but she worries if I refuse wet so gives me the dry. I’m not trying to be a pain, I just prefer the dry stuff. She will probably keep trying – she’s persistent!

  8. Maybe you can hit the gym with Ody, who last clocked in right before Christmas at 22 pounds! Maybe the two of you could even get Sarge as a personal trainer and when all of the torture was over, you’d both be lean mean purring machines!

  9. I know 2018 will be filled with fun for you, Teddy. You are a big boy! You are heavier than Eric was when he was 2. He was 23 pounds at his heaviest though. Flynn was never more than 16 pounds, but he could never walk. He always had to run everywhere.

    • I’d not mind being a biggie like Eric was…..Mom had friends who had two 25 lb. cats once. I think Eric and Flynn had it made though – they had those beautiful fields to run and play in and keep fit and trim. Eric might have been big but he was FIT……….I am going to try to be like that too!!!

  10. If you play red dot and chase enough, your weight will take care of itself, T. Mom tries to play red dot with me, sometimes. I chase it for a minute, but then I stare at her hand holding the dot machine and she knows the game is over because I have figured it out.

    • HAHAHA…….yeah I know Mom is in charge of that dot but still she is sneaky with it leading me around to hiding spots for that dot and making it do crazy things so it keeps me interested – I will stop and look at her though with the mental message “DO IT AGAIN MOM!”……it works!

  11. You’re big for a cat, but small for a lion. All things are relative. 🙂 Maybe you can improve your jumping skills so your mom doesn’t have to bend down to lift you so much?

    • I’m gonna use the excuse that our bathroom scales are wrong…….HAHAHAHA! I’m “in the neighborhood of 18 lbs.” – I think that’s a better way to describe my weight don’t you?

  13. Teddy, we really cannot believe that you actually do weigh more than Cooper Murphy. Our mom cannot pick him up. You did a great job filling-in. We thought every one of your completions was perfect. We are sorry our mom didn’t feel like doing fill-ins this week. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

    • Oh your Mom has her hands full right now…..the loss of your sister Lily Olivia, Sawyer’s nooter, Cooper’s illness……it’s a lot on her plate so not doing the fill-ins is no biggie compared to all of that. We just hope that things settle down and Cooper gets well. I don’t want my “Ginger Brother” to be sick….or for anyone to be sad. Maybe this will be a GOOD WEEK – it’s actually supposed to be warmer a couple of days – now THAT’s going to be GREAT right? Sending all of you hugs……

I am sorry for being so late. One step forward, three back. Sick dog, Kenzie, is better. But, as you know, we had some very bad news about Clyde. However, we are determined to not let it steal joy. Clyde is all about living life with joy. Animals remind me of the little things like that. Sometimes, I need a good cry, but, like Clyde, “I got dis.” Hugs.
