Tuesday Teaser

Standard

The School Bell is Ringing!  Hurry Hurry Hurry!

I foresee hotdogs and hamburgers in our immediate future!

Well that sounds swell but right now I need to FORESEE some students getting in the classroom before the Profs arrive!

Good Morning Class!    Time for the TEASER………………BUT FIRST – have you commented yet on this blog post?  You’d better do that QUICKLY – you may be our FIRST COMMENTER and you’ll win a badge for that if you are!    Go on –  then hurry back!   If it turns out you were FIRST or one of the FIRST (in the first 60 seconds we go live with our blog) you will win this:

Now, let’s settle down and talk TEASER.    We have a GUEST TEASER today and tomorrow when we do the TELL ALL I’ll let you know who contributed the photo but for now – let’s just say it’s a tough photo and we wish you lots of luck.   Hopefully you’ve been boning up on architecture, geography, topography and every other “ography” you can think of!

Now I’m nervous…….

Me too……!

Let me go over the rules for the guessing you’ll be doing as soon as you see the photo.    This photo was taken on planet Earth but that’s the only clue you’ll get from the Profs.   You need to study it hard but when you DO guess, remember:

  1. You need to include in your guess the town/village/city as well as the country (if not USA) or state (if USA) you think the photo was taken in.    That must be stated in your guess and YES you can guess more than once.
  2. We ask that in order for everyone to have an equal chance with guessing, you NOT use any help courtesy of Mr. Google Image Search or that type of program.    Popping an image into a program that will do all the work for you isn’t as big of a challenge as using your own perfectly good brain – so please just do your best without help!

Got it?   GOOD!   Now let’s see if our Security Guard is ready to bring in the photo for you to begin agonizing over shall we???????

Here is today’s Teaser Professor Sam and Ted

Beautiful photo isn’t it?    Well you study it and see what you can figure out – post your guess – tomorrow we’ll find out who’s right and who isn’t but most importantly who was FIRST RIGHT GUESSER!     Here are the badges you MIGHT win!

Now don’t forget that NEXT week’s Teaser will be our THANKSGIVING TEASER (even though it’s not Thanksgiving day) and we will have special badges to award for our winners (and losers) of next week’s Teaser Class!   WOO HOOOOO!!!!!

YAY!!!!!!

All that cheering is a perfect way for our sassy cheerleader Suzie Q and her new sidekick who is – by the way – named LUCY – to get you FIRED UP for guessing!!

Tuesday means it’s time for Teaser
Our cheers today will be real crowd pleasers
Lucy is my cheering student
Encouraging her just might be prudent!
She’s trying hard to learn our lingo
If she doesn’t learn it soon, I’ll just teach her bingo.
Now buckle down and work on the Tease
Then you may pet Lucy or give her a squeeze!

ARFY BARFY
GRRR GRRR GRRRRR
YIPPPY YAPPY
BARKITY BARKITY
ARRRRROOOOOOOOOO!

Well Suzie – I know Lucy is a “work in progress” but even if she could RHYME – regardless of whether we can understand – it would be better don’t you think????  I don’t mean to be critical though…….don’t want to discourage her enthusiasm.    You keep working with her and we’ll be looking forward to her NEXT cheer!!!!!    (** note to self:  bring ear protection next class**)

I’m covered……….

It’s my understanding that Miss Dingleberry and her fabulous cafeteria staff decided that they would have a hot dog/hamburger stand IN THE CAFETERIA today because it’s just a bit nippy outside.    So, you can eat in the cafeteria OR take your snack outside where it will promptly freeze up solid and you’ll have a burgercicle or a hotdogslushie.  Your choice.

Step right up – we’ve got hot chocolate too!

Let the guessing begin!  Good Luck Class!

  1. I thought you were going to say “Settle down and let’s talk turkey” Teddy. We already had Canadian Thanksgiving, but I just happen to be free next Thursday if anyone has an extra bit of turkey for me ~Calvin~

    • Miss Dingleberry said if you showed up in class this morning she would make a special cheeseburger with some BACON on it JUST FOR YOU!!!!!! (I think she’d already had a few martinis by the time she said that so she was feeling generous).

  2. That is the stately home of Locke N. Key, longtime warden of Southeastern West Virginia State Penitentiary and Country Club. Note the white vans parked in the driveway full of free prison labor to help maintain the warden’s nice yard. Within a few hours, those leaves will all be raked up into a nice pile, the hedges will be trimmed, the lawn will be mowed, and all of the nightcrawlers will be rounded up for the warden’s next big fishing trip! And the help will be back in their cells before bed check. Yes, it’s good to be head honcho at the state lockup…

  3. Suzie, I think you should move on to Bingo with Lucy. Maybe you need more kitty recruits for cheering. I have no clue where the photo was taken, but it is pretty. XO

    • So you think Lucy is a lost cause? She’s definitely having an issue with picking up human language – interesting that CATS do that so easily but dogs – not so much…..HAHAHAHAHAHA

    • Have a burger or two and some hot chocolate Marv……I’m with you by the way – Suzie can do ANYTHING and I think she will get Lucy to the point she’s (don’t tell Suzie I said this!) BETTER than Suzie is with a cheer. ARF ARF ARF. Our Teaser today is truly a tough one…..it could be so many places but it’s only ONE and we’ll find our tomorrow which ONE it is!

    • Well Timmy – you may DEFINITELY have a burger and a doggie with the works BUTTT your Teaser guess is what I’d call just a tad “VAGUE”….yes there’s a church in that photo BUT, where is that church located dear Timmy????? Get that family working on this problem ASAP!

  6. We cannot be more specific than anyone else. We think church in the northeast U.S. or Canada. Misty May has walked across Mom’s keyboard so many times that it has been hard to get a good look at it. The fancy roof makes it look like it wouldn’t be in the U.S., but…? We are going to line up for some hot chocolate and a dog! We’ll be cheering Lucy on as the weeks go by. Stay toasty everybody. Cold and grey again today. Pffft! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

    • I think Misty May wants to make sure you don’t forget to leave class today without bringing home some burgers and dogs!!!!! Good observations on the Teaser photo – guess we’ll be getting the low-down on this photo tomorrow but in the meantime STAY TOASTY WARM!

  7. Woohoo, Mrs. Dingleberry has hot dogs! I love hot dogs. # please Mrs. Dingleberry…Thank you. Oh and some hot chocolate would be great to wash them down. Now, down to business..*chew* *chew*. What are you trying to pull Teddy? A bunch of trees with a steeple in the middle? Who would know this unless you took the picture. I must guess then. There looks like a rectory over to the left side and its fall. Hmmm…to me this is what Quebec should look like. I am going to guess, and it is a real guess, Gaston, Quebec.

    • Know what Shoko? I think that’s a grand guess – even if it’s not right (and we won’t know until tomorrow cuz Mom won’t tell me either!) it’s a GREAT guess……..Mom has been to Quebec and said it could definitely be from there…..why don’t you just have a hot dog or two or three and some hot chocolate and take it easy – tomorrow will be here before you know it and the TELL ALL will TELL ALL!

  8. What a lovely and peaceful autumn scene. We will just grab a burger for each of us and sit back and relax…cause while that is a lovely old village we really do not know where, let alone the details. But we do think its in the USA…or maybe Canada?? Who knows?! MOL!
Who decorated roofs like that must have loved fine detail:) Sheesh, Petcretary would love to live in a place like that. So pretty…

  10. No, no, no! I started refreshing every 5 minutes about 11.45 (6.45 for you) went to do it around 12.00 and WHAM! no internet!!! It just came back so I don’t know what happened.
It’s a lovely photo, I think it looks like New England somewhere, but I said that last week also. I am going to blow it up, not literally, and see if I can see any clues. I think the internet provider is the one that should be blown up!

    Like

    • Well I enlarged it as much as I could but couldn’t find any clues to help me guess. The cars and van don’t look particularly American though. With the rocky hill and trees it could be Austria or Switzerland, or maybe France. I don’t really have any idea but think it is more likely Europe than the USA.

    • You’re right – internet providers are MEAN MEAN MEAN and why do things go wrong when we need our internet the most????? It’s a conspiracy that’s what! It’s an interesting Teaser and if I tell you we have a VIDEO Tell All I bet you will know who sent the Teaser to us! WINK
