I know I’m the King of Baconia but that doesn’t mean I can’t have Bacon Buddies right? Well, if you wanna declare yourself a buddy of the King, remember that a long time ago when Angel Sammy was King, he created the Bacon Lovers’ Club and here’s the badge……………do you have it? Go ahead – take it! BE A BACON BUDDY!
Yes indeed! We know how to eat our bacon around here don’t we? Every Saturday we get together and munch and crunch.

Now I thought I’d give you a break from bacon for a little slide show from my Mom and Dad’s recent (this past week) trip to Maine (without me of course). Talk about a beautiful place this time of the year…………well, between the leaves (which Mom forgot to take photos of) and the ocean (which she most certainly did NOT forget to photograph), I’d say their little getaway was a big success. Also the nuns at the kennel where I stayed were SUPER SWEET to me so I was fine too but glad Mom and Dad came to get me yesterday anyway!
So there you have it………………this past week in review AND some bacon on top of that! What a deal huh? ONLY IN BACONIA!

P.S. From Mom!!
Teddy was spoiled rotten at the kennel so no worries about that believe me…………….his Dad and I were spoiled rotten where we stayed in Maine………….and one of the most FUN parts of our trip there was getting to meet Ellen from 15andMeowing and her husband David. They drove all the way from their home in Massachusetts to shop with us at the Kittery Trading Post AND to have lunch with us. It was so wonderful getting to meet her and David in person after getting to know her for so long through her blog. She and her husband are the SWEETEST people and we had a ball with them. It’s special when you get to meet someone you already LOVE finally in person…………we exchanged gifts and hugs and more hugs before saying goodbye. Here’s a photo of the four of us at lunch together…………Ellen and her husband David on the left and me and my husband David on the right……………we had just eaten about 2 tons of food. HAHAHA Thank you Ellen and David for making our trip PERFECT!
And lastly……………some sad news in the blogosphere this morning. Sister Sascha from Brian’s Home Blog has gone to the Bridge…….we are sad for her family. You may click on the badge to visit and leave your comments………..fly free Sister Sascha – Angel Sammy will hug you when you arrive…………….

What a fab a trip but I bet you’re glad the bacon purrveyor pawrents are back. Great pics. I love Ellen too. Glad to see her rock a black cat t-shirt. Her Angel Spooky is featured in my book (out now on Amazon and Barnes & Noble) When I was a kid we spent many happy trips to Maine and it’s purrfect off season.

My Mom loved Miss Ellen’s shirt AND was so happy to be able to meet her in purrrrson……they are good friends online but it’s always fun to meet someone IN THE REAL!! I am happy my Mom and Dad are back and happy they enjoyed their getaway. They needn’t have worried about ME as I was being spoiled rotten by the nuns at the kennel! We send you hugs and hope that your book is selling like hotcakes!!

What a BEAUTIFUL place Maine is – and Mom was happy to see that at least SOMEONE has pretty Fall leaves because we sure don’t here in Virginia this year – at least not yet – it’s been too dry…….but up there – BRILLIANT! Mom said Miss Ellen and Mr. David from 15andMeowing are the NICEST PEOPLE EVER!

I can’t believe you got to meet Miss Ellen and her husband! That is so special that you four got together. And of course she would have on a cat tee! You all look like you had a very good time! Still loving your Mom’s clicks Teddy… she has been hiding her picture taking skills. I love the shot of of the huge cliff on the left and the ocean coming in framed on the right by a smaller rock barrier. The little gathering of clouds on the horizon too… I loved seeing them ALL! No bacon for us today, I will just dream about the Mashed Potato Bacon Bombs!

Mom says it’s hard to NOT take a good photo of that view……….it’s definitely the prettiest place to stay right there on the rocks with the ocean smashing against them. Glad you like the photos though – Mom enjoyed being there to take them!!!!! She and Dad were so happy to meet Ellen and Mr. David – they are such sweet people and who doesn’t LOVE LOVE LOVE cat people right?????!!!

I did have that pound of perfect crispy bacon you guys had out for us already on our plates. I love that each plate has a full pound. Saves trotting back and forth to get more. Ah….
I am SO wishing my mommy could have had a place there at the table with Miss Ellen, her hubby and your mommy and daddy! What a joy that would have been. Mom and I have had the pleasure of meeting two blog friends, and it is as though we know them for years…because we do. xxx

Oh well Sascha was one of Brian’s sisters at “DOWNHOMEINNC”……..she hadn’t been well but we all thought she was so much better……very sad.

I think everyone was surprised that Sister Sascha left for the Bridge but we know she’s a beautiful Angel now….. I did enjoy my stay with the Sisters at the kennel – they loved me too! Miss Ellen and Mr. David are super people whether in person or through the blogosphere that’s for sure. Pet people are the BESTEST !!!!

I have not been to the coast of Maine, but have driven through endless forests going from Ontario to Nova Scotia, via NY and Maine…but your pics reminded me of when I lived in Nova Scotia…the rocky areas are so stark, yet beautiful.

There’s something about rocky shorelines and waves crashing against them………that was what we loved about where we stayed…………but we know there are other spots where this “magic” may be found!
