Time To Fill In Sentences!!

This fun Blog Hop is co-hosted every Friday by 15andmeowing AND Mcguffys Reader…………..and the badge above goes DIRECTLY to McGuffys if you would like to join the Hop!  Just use the LINKY TOOL and you’re in.    It’s fun!

I guess Mom will have to fill in sentences AGAIN this week – mostly the sentences need to be filled in by humans because they are more “human-oriented” sentences!   Does that make sense?    Anyway, it’s nice to give OLD MOM a chance to shine since all the other days of the week I’m “the star” of the show!

Here are this week’s four sentences and Mom’s fill-ins are in GREEN.

1. My favorite fictional character is believe it or not – ALICE (in the looking glass) – that entire story has ALWAYS been one of my favorites – so incredibly crazy from start to finish and Alice may have not liked PARTS of her adventure but I think I’d enjoy the whole thing if I was Alice!!.

2.  A new tv show or film I am looking forward to this Fall is  –I’m not a big movie buff but my husband and I are BIG FANS of a lot of British mysteries and they will all have new seasons premiering on TV which we will definitely be excited about!

3. One of my very favourite books is  an old Stephen King novel – “The Stand”……I’ve read it about ten times – maybe once a year or something like that……I just find it FASCINATING.

4. The best time to take a nap is when you have a cat or dog to snuggle with while you snooze!

Thanks Mom – good job……..will you pretty please read Alice Through the Looking Glass to me?  I love bunnies – the neighbors have a bunch of them in their garden…….!
I guess that’s about it for me – I’ve got Mom to fill-in sentences for me and yesterday I got tired climbing up and down the BIG PILE of firewood Dad had delivered – Mom said I climbed up like a little mountain goat (is that a good thing??? I don’t know what one of those is!!!!).    It was fun but I got tired so I’m still recovering.   I’ll do my share of snoozing out in the garage while Mom and Dad clean the house…….they don’t need me for THAT!

Happy Fill-In Friday

Did you call me Mom?????

Love and Hugs, Teddy

  1. oh I’m with you, we love bristish mysteries… leah mentioned that a new season of Death In Pawradise is on the way and we can not wait for a new season of Miss Fisher (technically british too because HRM is still the boss)
I liked The Stand too… and specially this time I see that a lot of things what were fiction to Mr. King came true… the antibiotics are no longer able to fight the diseases and there are new diseases where the docs are at the end of all wisdom…

    • Oh Phenny I think that’s why my Mom likes The Stand – it’s got a lot of FAMILIAR things going on and it’s kind of scary!!! My Mom and Dad LOVED Death in Paradise so happy to hear a new season is coming – they can’t leave us hanging like they do – we love those characters! Miss Fisher is fun too…..both of those have FABULOUS characters. Anyway, Happy FRIDAY!

    • We hope you have a super duper weekend too – Mom and Dad aren’t big fans of British TV and also fond of watching the Japanese TV channel – such a beautiful country although they tell me that the USA is gorgeous too even though I’ve only seen MY HOUSE!

      • Teddy, M here. Much of the world is either interesting or beautiful. I’ve only seen Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas in purrson, and all four states were similar. Purrseidon wanted the first 2 questions, but if I had answered #2, I would have said documentaries… I love learning things and those documentaries not only offer interesting information, they take my imagination all over. =^.^=

  2. Climbing like a mountain goat is a VERY good thing, Little T. You would do great here – jumping and climbing from the chair to the sofa to the table to the other chair. Also when there are giant snow plow hills, you’d definitely mountain climb your way to the top in no time!

  3. I am going to have to check out some of these shows that everybody is mentioning because what we are seeing on TV stinks. Your Mom did a great job on the Fill-ins Teddy. Z Cat used to love the garage too… she was a snooper! When she first came to us she was about 7 months old and when she got in the garage she would climb up inside the under part of the car. She must have been really living rough because she new all kinds of tricks about the outside. That last picture of you Teddy.. darling.
    Good Morning!

    • Hi Miss Pix!! My Mom and Dad almost EXCLUSIVELY have their TV tuned to PBS’s UK channel. So many great shows…..American TV for the most part is pretty darn stinky. I know lots of people disagree but Mom and Dad find a lot of GREAT mystery series on PBS and in particular the Australian and British mysteries….I do love my garage. Dad put a “window shelf” in one of the garage windows for me and I just LOVE that. I spend a lot of time there OR by the side door in/out on an old towel Mom gave me. They don’t know why I love the garage so much but suspect I was raised in one – I’m not tellin’ – a guy needs to have SOME secrets right? HAPPY WEEKEND!

  4. Thank you to your Mom for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I like Alice in Wonderland too. Stephen King is a great author, but I think I was be too scared of anything he wrote. The only thing I ever saw was Salem’s Lot by him and I still keep my neck covered when I am in bed. I completely agree with #4. I love this photo of you Teddy, such a cutie. 🙂 XO

    • HAHAHAHA on King’s books – they were mostly quite freaky and The Stand was certainly one of those. My Mom has always liked books that take her to the “edge” of a cliff and DARE her to jump – King’s work is like that I suppose. Anyway, I quite like the whole idea of Alice in Wonderland…..I’d hop in a bunny hole any old time!!!!

    • I miss the Broomhildas……maybe we should see if they’d like to come by once in a while for a touch up clean. Mom is coping well with that on her own (for now) but the Brooms did a FABBBBO job!

    • My Mom and Dad have loved Doc Martin forever…..I think they are about to have a new season out which will be fun. It’s a well done show though isn’t it? Downton Abby was quite a series – Mom says that she and Dad should get the DVDs so they can watch it any time they want to.

  6. What wonderful Fill-ins!
My Mommy is also a fan of British Mysteries…right now she has been re-watching all the Sherlock Holmes (with Benedict Cumberbatch) on Netflix. (yep, shes STILL sick and flat on her back on the sofa when she gets home from work). Which is also when she takes a nap and she LOVES being covered with cats (yes the 3 of us) and a dog!
And yes…I am most enjoying my siblings (including Cinnamon). I will miss them when they go home with Daddy (whom I am also liking)

    • Hi Marv! I’m happy that you are getting along so well with the GANG….you just might find the house TOOOO quiet when they are gone but they will visit you again I’m sure. I’m really sorry your Mom is STILL so sick – working while sick is very hard to do but your Mom is a TROOPER. Nice that you let her lie on the sofa when she gets home from work so she can get some rest. We are sending her some POTP – I bet she can use it!

  7. I always loved Alice’s adventures, too. I read the books when I was 13. It was a bit different than Disney. Your answer to #4 was excellent! Around here there is always a cuddle pile. Lots of love, though! Hugs.

    • Mom used to dream when she was younger that SHE was Alice and had all those adventures – she had quite an imagination (!!!). I think it would be fun to fall down a rabbit hole too as long as all I found there were RABBITS!

  8. Good choice for a favorite character. Mom has read most of Stephen King, but I don’t think I have read The Stand. Sounds like a great jungle gym your dad built for you from the fire wood, Butter Bean. Hope tomorrow is a good day for an outside adventure. Love to all. • Mom says The Stand – which was written some years ago – becomes more “REAL” with the passing years. Maybe too close for comfort! LOL Anyway, it’s a great book and Mom has most of his other books – the oldies anyway. Also, I really love the wood pile but Dad got all of it stacked now so there’s no big crazy pile of wood left just a NICE NEAT STACK. While it was more fun as a pile, I suppose a stack is safer for me to climb! We have tons of rain today so no climbing I’m afraid.

  9. I think it would have been fun to watch you being a mountain goat! They are quite agile and wood piles need carefur agility! And sharp claws to hold on:)

    Like

    • Mom sure kept a close eye on me when I was in “mountain goat mode”…..Dad said she shouldn’t let me climb on the wood as there could be a cave-in or slip and I might get hurt. DARN – but I suppose he’s right!
