Friendly Fill-In Friday

Standard

IS IT REALLY FRIDAY ALREADY?????

Yes it is – and that means time for filling in the sentences for the BLOG HOP co-hosted by Ellen of 15andmeowing and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader.   If you want to play along, click the badge below and hop over to join in the fun!

It’s a fun way to find out new stuff about each other and we look forward to it every week…………………..This week I again let Mom fill-in because usually the sentences aren’t really so easy for a guy like me to fill-in!    Mom’s words are in RED.

1.   Worrying is  a waste of time.    (worrying about something doesn’t change it – taking action can change something sometimes but worry never does!)

2. My favorite app is PIZAP (I don’t use a smart phone but Pizap is my “go to” application for photo editing).

3. My first car was a big old Oldsmobile that my Dad bought for me.

4. The best car I ever owned was my current car – a Buick LaCrosse, because it’s like riding on a cloud and with all the bells and whistles I just feel GOOD driving it!.

Thanks Mom – I wish you could get Daddy to feel like you do about worrying – he worries 24/7 and if he isn’t worrying, THAT worries him (hahahahaha).    As for your “best car” since I’m not allowed to ride in your fancy shmancy Buick I wouldn’t KNOW about it being so fabulous BUT I’ll take your word for it.  Besides, I like riding in Daddy’s Blazer because there’s lots of room in the back for me to explore stuff and look out all those windows!     I’m not all that crazy about riding in cars but I just need you guys to take me more places so I get used to stuff whizzing by the windows!!

Now I’m going to take this opportunity to remind you all that WE are hosting SHOPPING AROUND THE WORLD this month for Bacon and his Mom since they are super duper busy – so please remember it will be on THURSDAY, AUGUST 31st and we will all be sharing our favorite recipe for SNACKS!     YAY FOR SNACKS!    Mom’s got her recipe all ready – how about you?

Remember you need to share your recipe for whatever your favorite snack is as well as the price you paid for the ingredients so we can see how much things cost around the world – part of the fun!!   You should still LINK your recipes to Bacon’s blog so he knows you’re pawticipating this month!!!

AND one more reminder!

Monday, August 28 is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day

This is a day to remember those we’ve lost and it was started by Zee and Zoey’s Deb Barnes…..to honor her cat Jazz.   They are hosting a BLOG HOP for Remembrance Day and you can join in the Hop any time on Monday, August 28th by clicking HERE.

We will have two posts on Monday – one of them will be part of the Hop at Zee and Zoey’s and we will be remembering our Angel Sammy……..and maybe you want to do a special post yourselves.

See You Tomorrow from Baconia!

Love, Teddy

  2. Great fill ins. We feel the same about worrying. Although I am concerned for the people in Eastern Texas tonight and tomorrow. I hope they are prepared for Harvey.
Thanks for the reminders. I have a snack in mind. We did snack on bacon tonight. 🥓

  3. Good morning and Happy Friday! We just wanted to thank you for mentioning Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day in your post. We know it’s a sad day, but it’s also such a beautiful day to remember our precious angels and we appreciate you joining us. Anyhow, just a brief correction – the blog hop link you have shared is from a couple years ago. We host a new hop each year and our post this year will be live at 12:00 a.m., EST on Monday, August 28. Thank you!!

    • Hi Deb……thanks for the note and info on the blog hop link……….perhaps I’ll just give your blog link and tell everyone to visit it on Monday? We will be celebrating Remembrance Day for sure along with tons of others who miss their beloved pets. I miss Sammy every minute of every day in spite of the fun we’re having with Teddy. It’s a permanent hole in the heart as you well know. Have a great weekend Deb…….

  4. Great answers, Miss Pam! Motor Mommy says your Buick is BEAUTIFUL!
Monday will be a bittersweet day in the blogosphere. I’m forfeiting my turn writing Monday Morning Mews, so she can remember her kitty, Beezy.

  5. Great answers! I hope you have a safe & fabulous weekend!
I pray for anyone in Havvey’s path, but also admit that something natural like that is almost a relief over all the skewed reporting and the way some segments seem determined to dredge up racial tension.

    • Yep – the “BOATMOBILE” was my Olds and I just loved it. It was a gorgeous car too but my Dad didn’t want me driving a LITTLE cat – he said the bigger the safer which I’m not entirely sure I “got” then but I didn’t care because that car was MINE ALL MINE. LOL Yeah it was between Pizap and Lunapic……..Pizap lets me do all the cutting/pasting of sticking Teddy in situations but Lunapic makes him look good! It’s a toss up! LOL

BACON – did you say BACON? GIMME!!!!!

      Love, Pam

  6. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers, as always. We had the same for #1, although I still worry- mainly about the cats. I don’t have a smart phone so I chose a computer app too 🙂 Thank you for the reminders of remembrance day and shopping day. Have a great weekend! XO

    • I updated the link for Remembrance Day to Zee and Zoey – Deb wrote to me after seeing my link and said her Remembrance Post won’t be active for a BLOG HOP until midnight on the 27th which means if you wait until any time on the 28th, you can go to her website and hook up on her Hop. That’s what I’m doing……..and my Remembrance post will go out after I’m awake (!) on Monday instead of the usual time of 3AM for my blog posts. I know what you mean about worrying – I will probably always have a part of me that worries about SOMETHING but I don’t DWELL on worrying – I’ve seen how unhappy most people who worry all the time can get and I think the older I’ve gotten the LESS time I want to spend being unhappy!

  7. Oh Teddy do I ever agree about riding in the car. I will never understand what it is about the wind blowing in their eyes and messin’ up their furs that dogs like!
We agree with # 1 of the fill ins!! Years ago mom was a ‘what if” kinda gal which I guess is like worrying she has finally learned to let go of ‘what ifs’ that she cannot control

  8. Mom totally agrees with Mom Pam’s answer to #1. She used to be like your dad, but her aunt and sister gave her some good reasons as to why this is a waste of time and she rarely worries about things anymore, especially things of which she has no control. Mom forgot to tell you that she tried Mom Pam’s endive recipe a couple of weeks ago, and it was yummy! Sending lots of love to all. • Mom says BRAVO for your Mom trying the endive salad…..my Mom loves it – endive is a delish veggie – nice and crunchy and tangy. I think my Dad worries too much. He’s so bad about it that he worries if he doesn’t have something to worry about! EEEEK!

  9. Wow…you had a big car. I remember those! They were very sturdy, too. And, yes, safe.
I seem to use PiZap because it is the only one that I understand. I try others, but don’t seem to get far. I think I am going to have to purchase one and learn it. You do really nice artwork.

    • I like bells but not so sure about whistles (hahaha)……….Mom and Dad won’t let me in the Buick but I ASSUME Mom loves it best – Dad’s a truck guy so loves our Blazer. I say just keep me out of any moving vehicle and I’m happy!

  11. I am a worrier too. I get it from my mum. She worried about everything, but I don’t think I am quite as bad as she was. I have never tried Pizap and will have to check it out. I usually use Lunapic.

    • The only SMALL car my Mom has ever had was a Ford Pinto which was a LEMON from the factory and she and her first hubby had nothing but TROUBLE with it! Ever since then it’s BIGGER AND BETTER in the car department! HAHAHA
